The first attack came from directly ahead. A spear of wood shot out at Shadow. He brought his staff up at an angle and knocked the spear to the side. Ah Sir Gregory. You were a brave one even when it was only you left of your company. he thought to himself as he spun and ducked dodging to more spears. He moved toward on that had not yet attacked and as he moved the wood at the end of the quarterstaff pealed back to reveal a blade. He stabbed it into the heart of the dummy and then spun putting the dummy between him and the others.

He heard the light thunk of wood as the dummy was hit and smiled until a wood tendril reached over the dummy and shot down towards his head. He rolled to the side and dashing forward sliced two more dummies drawing the souls back into himself. He then grabbed one and threw it behind him to block several more tendrils and a spear.

He smiled as he grabbed the second dummy and holding it in front of him charged a cluster of three dummies all trying to lash him with wooden whips covered in barbs. As the whips struck the dummy and began wrapping around towards him he pushed the dummy down using it as leverage to vault into the center of the three. With a whirl of his staff the heads slid off the three and the souls were reabsorbed.

Shadow grinned and knew that there were just five left. He dashed to his right and directly at one dummy that was alone. It sent three tendrils at him and he cut each one with a quick slice from his staff before slamming the blade into where the heart would be and kicking the dummy to remove it repeated the move on another.

The remaining three all sent tendrils towards him and he used the dummy nearest him as a shield while he ran along the outside of the left most tendril to decapitate the owner. He then dashed towards the next and sliding under it's counter attack stabbed up at it's throat. Now the only one left was the canny Sir Gregory. Several spears and tentacles shot at Shadow and he was forced to dodge and roll while slashing. Finally he jumped to the side and ran towards Sir Gregory diving and rolling to the opposite side as tendril's lashed at him. He rose and with one hit stabbed his blade into the dummy's heart.

That was it. He had reabsorbed all of the souls and with another snap of his fingers fixed all of the dummies. The wood on each and the scratches on the floor all healed themselves.

*sighs and slowly stands up walking to the training room, she sees shadow fighting the dummys and walks on, avoiding him entirely and makes it over to the other side of the room and grabs her rapier from the weaponds rack where someone must have put it last night, she walks towards the door again, mindful of Shadow*

Shadow looked around slowly his eyes glowing golden. He nodded and sunk into the floor before speeding away. It was time for another harvest. This body was far ahead of his last in terms of adapting but it was still far from the original.

*Hashii walks out of her room with her headphones on and heads down stairs* ^_^

: biggrin raeken walks in and looks around before moving to his corner and sitting on a couple cushions, leaning back, and relaxing. he let out a short sigh as he did this.::

hey love. how are ya?

::he shrugs before her head makes it to his shoulder and tilts his head::
a bit tired. went out to train a bit the last couple days. but same i guess, living. living and enjoying every moment i can of it.
