((Nice :'D RP TIME!)) He waited after Lucas and Kai were well out of the way before he proceeded back to Tanner's room, bursting through the door he unleashed his pent up anger, "YOU ******** b*****d!" he snarled,"This was not part of the goddamned deal! I never agreed to go and investigate ANYTHING for you, and I'd have never agreed to the job at all had I known you were military." He almost spat the word, "What a big bad lord general can't do a job himself? Needs a merc to do it?" He was almost shaking with anger, restraining himself from jumping the other man. "You owe me real big Tanner, you owe me.."

Tanner folded his arms in a very nonchalant manner, he was largely unaffected by Pix's outburst. "You know there's too many of them in that group for me to handle myself. I need both of us," he said calmly. "I can pay you more if that's what you want."

((Sorry, I've been busy ;_; )) Pix thought about leaving, he thought about taking more money. But then he remembered. All those nights ago, what he had said. "I don't want money Tanner. No, I want those kids, I want free choice of whoever the hell I want. I want my Harlequins again, and they're who I want at it's core." He paused to let his offer sink in. "I'll also need all the supplies a group of performers would need. Take it, or leave it." He grinned knowing the man needed him too much to decline the offer.

Tanner sighed, rubbing his temples. This whole conversation was becoming tiresome. But he did need Pix. "Take whatever you want. I'll make sure no one stops you." He pulled a ruby ring out of a pouch inside his coat. "Sell this, I don't need it. You'll have enough coin to buy anything you need that you can't find around the castle." Tanner sighed and took a sip of water from his glass he was still holding.

(Ok, Los and Kaylee forcing me to post ;__; )
He took the ring temptively, inspecting it. Satisfied with the quality he turned his attention to Tanner again, "I'm not happy with this, especially since I assume you're coming along. But you and I are two different breeds Tanner, we look after our own not eachother." With that Pix left the room.
((Little explanation of Pix's hate of the military, historically military units of the time would hire mercs, but they were mostly hated and mistreated, so Pix is showing a common attitude))

((Alright, that makes sense. Cool. If it's okay I'll advance this to the next morning...)) Tanner shook his head and walked off to his quarters, a little frustrated by Pix's anger at him but he knew it was understandable. Tanner wasn't happy he had to leave out some of the details of Pix's job, but it looked like his plan worked. Pix was coming along, and that was all that mattered. Tanner was very aware of Pix's intellect, as it was something that any man could respect. He trusted Pix with his life, except that Pix hated him at the moment. He laughed morbidly and fell asleep. As morning came Kai and Tanner were both awake and eating bread and tarts over conversation in the dining hall. Lucas was in the corner chatting amiably with Gerard, as he watched the sun rise.

He was fourteen and had run away from home. Using what was left of the little money he had he had bought a bow and arrows. He also paid to join a group of travelers for safety. They had been riding for about four hours when he heard a yell from his right. Instinctively he turned his head to see what it was. A second later the person in front of him fell from his horse, clutching an arrow in his chest. Blood was pouring from his wound as he screamed. Suddenly he heard galloping seemingly coming from all directions. He watched in horror as the rest of his traveling group were slaughtered. Paralyzed with fear he didn’t even raise his bow to try and defend himself. He suddenly felt a sword cutting through him. He dropped to the ground a huge slash through his chest and he fell from his horse. He watched it as blood flowed out of him. He was too scared to even scream. From his new position on the ground he watched the bandits kill the rest of his unfamiliar companions and killed the horses. The bandits took everything of value before leaving. He stayed as he was for what felt like ages before finally gathering himself. He tried to stand and nearly fainted before collapsing back onto the ground. He crawled over to what little the bandits had left behind and began vomiting. The man closest to him was nearly beheaded a pool of blood still forming underneath his corpse. He rummaged through a small bag and found some sewing tools. He took the needle and thread from it and sewed up his chest as best he could. It was pretty crude, but it would have to do. He gathered the little he had into a bag and he found a stick nearby. Using it he stood up and started walking hoping to get to town before he was killed or died from blood loss. As he walked the sun started to set in front of him. Gregor woke up in a cold sweet. It was that dream again. The same dream he had every night, but it wasn’t really a dream. It was a memory. It was the first day he had left home twelve years ago. At the time he believed he would never return to his home town, but here was in some rundown inn on the outer edges of Illys. He hoped to never return here, but he was hunting down an old friend. He got up and washed up. He got dressed and headed downstairs. He paid for his room and left to search the town again for his friend who he only knew as Pix. Hopefully he would find him today, but he had been searching for months now and he wasn’t so easy to find, but the last person he talked to seemed to know he was here for a fact. Hopefully the guy was correct, but Gregor couldn’t think of a good reason for Pix to end up here. He bought a piece of fruit from a vender and headed out, his crossbow tied to his side and the chain around his right arm clinking quietly every time he raised his arm to take a bite from the apple. Hopefully today would finally be the day he found him. ((This is the longest post that I have and shall ever write. Thanks again for accepting me into the rp.))

I simply can't believe it. It's all happening exactly as that b*****d said it would, my life seems to be rising up from the shambles...
Thoughts such as those had been running through Pix's mind the whole morning as he first sold off the ring Tanner had given him and bought all the materials he needed. Brightly colored performers costumes, juggling balls, knives, props and even a good sized traveling cart and a mule for it. He had also, rather more discretely, tight fitting leather armor to keep under the outfits for all of them as well with a small cache of weaponry.
Now he wanted to check if he still had it, he had donned his performer's outfit, looking more like a court jester than the mercenary he was, of course that was the point, setting himself up in a market he announced in his best stage voice, "Come one come all! For today you are about to see a master of the juggling art, there is no number of items that I cannot hold," He pulled out three red balls and began to toss them in the air," Feel free to add whatever you will!" he said as a small crowd began to gather.
