Lore smiled, blushing a bit, as he told himself he really should be use to it by now. Still he caused him to smile widely at that.
"Good morning, you slept well?"

"Eventually," Elnara smiled warmly, heading to an empty chair and sitting down. "I have to admit, the time change was more than I was ready for, but I think I'll be used to it by tomorrow."
Not to mention, their discussion of the night before had left her with much to think about as she tried to fall asleep, and a busy mind always took forever to drift off.
"And you?"
She glanced back up at him, and her smile widened when she saw the red tingeing his cheeks. She would never tire of the sight, she was certain.

Lore nodded at that, "I had more energy than I had realized," he admitted, "But I guess that was to be expected, but otherwise I slept well," he smiled.

Just then Ulrich joined them in the kitchen, still only half-dressed, wearing nothing but a pair of brown pants. "Good morning," he greeted everyone with a sleepy nod; then he moved behind his wife and put his head on her shoulder, wrapping his arms around her stomach, and nuzzled her ear.
Ulani giggled and reached up to give his head a gentle squeeze. "Morning," she murmured. "Now go sit down before your breakfast burns."

Elnara laughed softly, watching them. Even after thousands of years of marriage, they still acted like newlyweds.
"So does anyone have any plans for today?" she asked in general, knowing that different people might have different ideas. She herself didn't have any, though she sort of hoped to be able to spend time with Ulani and find out what had been going on in this world in her absence.

Lore shook his head, "Not any that I can think of off the top of my head but Celebor and the others might want to do something," he admited.
He didn't know what the children wanted to do, and he was sort of worried that the twins would try to use magic again. He wasn't sure if he got through to them how dangerous it could possibily be.

Ulrich joined them at the table, leaning back comfortably in his chair. "I saw yesterday that you had a bow with you, Lore," he commented, cocking his head and grinning. "How would you like to do some hunting? I'm not sure how the hunting is in Gaia, but around here we've got good game, and Ulani's been bugging me for nearly a week now for some fresh meat."

Celebor's eyes grew wide, and he tugged on Lore's sleeve to get his attention. "Can I come too?" he asked eagerly, eyes wide, begging. "Please? Can I? I never been hunting before!"
He bounced up and down on the tips of his toes, hoping for a yes.

"Hmm..." Lore nodded, "It's been a while since I've had a hunt, I would like that."
It would be nice to have to hunt targets that were meant for eating rather than have targets that came after them because they were displeased with their afterlife or what not. Far better than having things come after him.
"Not this time Celebor," Lore replied softly putting a hand upon Celebor's head.
Hunting even if it was safe things like that, was no place for someone like Celebor.

Celebor stopped mid-bounce, and his eyes actually filled up with tears. "But ... why?" he asked, his voice quivering along with his chin. "I want to come ... I want to hunt! I never been hunting before!"
Elnara felt bad for Celebor, but she agreed with Lore's decision wholeheartedly. A hunt was simply too dangerous for a child. But even if she hadn't agreed, even if she would have allowed him to go, herself, she would not have said anything. If Lore was going to one day be Celebor's father - she felt herself smiling at the thought even now - then now was the time to teach him that one parent's decision was both parents' decision, that if he didn't like the answer one gave, he could not go to the other and try again.
So she kept silent.

Ulrich thankfully had been through this situation many times before, and he knew exactly what to do.
"Hey, don't be sad, little man," he grinned, folding his arms and hoping he looked proud. "We're not leaving you behind because we don't need you, but because the others need you even more!"
He leaned forward so that his face was near Celebor's. "With us men gone," he told him seriously, "the ladies will need someone strong to protect them. Do you think you could do that? Can you keep Ulani and your Mother safe?"

Lore smiled at that glad that Ulrich already had an answer, it would have tried to explain it, he doubted that would have work.
"What do you think Celebor?"

Celebor blinked with surprise, and his eyes dried instantly. "Really?" he asked, his tone filled with awe and pride. "You think I can do that?"
Then he realized Ulrich had just asked him that question, and he grinned and stuck out his skinny little chest proudly. "'Course I can!" he proclaimed, pounding his fists on his chest. "I'll make sure they stay safe 'til you both get back!"
And he started jumping around the kitchen, going through the katas that Triton had spent so much time teaching him.
"Hey!" Elnara protested, putting one hand on his shoulder to stop him before he got too wound up. "Not in here, there's no room. You can do that outside after breakfast."

Ulrich chuckled. Well, apparently that problem was solved. "Then that settles it," he nodded, grinning and sitting up straight once more. He watched Celebor for a moment, then glanced at Lore. "He seems full of energy," he commented.
Ulani brought over their breakfast and started dishing it out onto plates. "Enjoy," she smiled as she did so. "I hope you like it."
Once the plates were all filled, she poured water into cups for everyone, clear pure water, icy cold, and fresh from the river.

Lore nodded with a smile, "He is," he answered simply, "He's always putting a lot of energy into what he does."
What else could he say on the matter, that was Celebor.
"Come now Celebor," Lore smiled a bit more, "Ulani made breakfast," he looked up at her, "Thank you, it smells wonderful."
