"I-it will be worth it though," Kaleb said, finally sounding sure of himself. "I-I just need to get strong enough, and I'll really be able to help people, and it will all be worth it."

Kaleb shook his head. "I'm not nearly strong enough. There's too much I can't do, and too many spells that are too strong for me to handle. I need to be strong enough so... So I'll be able to help despite all my weaknesses."

He shook his head again but kept quiet. Kaleb was already strong even if he didn't think so.

Kaleb realized he had gotten all tense and anxious, so he slumped against Riley's chest as he forced himself to calm down and relax again. There was always so much he could be doing, and even though he felt like he should go study now despite his exhaustion, his partner probably wouldn't take kindly to him getting up.

He yawned again and draped an arm over Kaleb. He wanted to go back to sleep since he'd already slept most of the day. Kaleb could pretend he wasn't strong all he wanted but he knew otherwise.

Kaleb thought he could be okay with Riley's arm around him, since he had gotten rid of most other tactile distractions. He sighed and closed his eyes again so he could sleep. Maybe he could get up early the next day to read, and make up for what he couldn't work on that day.

It didn't take long for Riley to fall asleep again. He was comfortable and knew he didn't have to be at the office until at least eleven. That gave him plenty of time to catch up on sleep.

The next morning Kaleb's internal alarm clock woke him up a good five hours before his partner would have preferred, and he immediately started trying to squirm out of Riley's grasp. He was starving, and very excited since it would be his first day actually living at his partner's apartment. All that made for a really lousy sleeping partner.

He grumbled when Kaleb started to squirm and tightened his grip on the smaller audio. It was too early and defiantly not time to get up yet.

"Riley..." Kaleb almost whined, still trying to wiggle away. "I have to do things today! And I'm really hungry, I need to go eat." He hoped that would convince Riley to let go of him, since he was always concerned with how much he ate.

He grumbled again and let go of Kaleb to latch onto a pillow instead. If his partner was going to squirm and talk then he could go eat so he could sleep in.

Kaleb scrambled out of bed and bounced off to the kitchen, completely ignoring his partner's grumbling. He put a slice of bread in the toaster and bounced back to the bedroom and onto the bed. "Can I bring my books over if I'm staying here now?" He asked excitedly.

"....five of them." His voice was muffled in the pillow that he was clutching. He'd already told Kaleb that hadn't he? He thought he had.

Kaleb bounced a bit and sat down as he tried to figure out what five books would be best to bring over. Ten would have been a better number. He sat still only until the toast was done, and then he bounced off the bed and back to the kitchen to put some peanut butter on it. He took two bites before bouncing back to the bedroom and onto the bed again. "Where should I put them?"
