"I didn't hurt 'im!" Lie. "We were just playing a little game." "And what game would that be? Hunt? Acting as you are the powerful lion whilst the other a lone prey?" Ari said. "And /if/ you didn't hurt the cub, then why was he bleeding from cuts and scratches, and scared to look you in the eyes. Or more so at you yourself, hmm?"
"...I dunno," He growled, not liking how both his parents seemed to be siding with the cub not of their own blood, rather than there son.

Not too far away from his family, about three yards, Tamu-jitu sat with his back to his father and his sleeping sister. He had been like this for quite some time, hunched over thinking to himself. Even when his mother and brother came over, he stayed where he was and didn't budge, only sighed.
Things weren't going good for the little brown cub. The Voice had made his life very hectic and even scary at times. It would constantly nag on him for little, stupid things and wouldn't cease for hours. It troubled him to think that his siblings didn't even share one wink of the same pain.. at least, they didn't show it. Today, though, Tamu was actually left alone by the Voice and had a chance to hear himself thinking.
I should leave! There is no reason to stay here. The Voice only talks to me about other lions.. maybe if I avoid lions, the Voice will go away.. Simple enough logic, right? But how could he leave his family without saying anything? He couldn't just sneak away in the middle of the night.. he loved them too much. Sighing, the little boy's head lowered slightly, almost touching the ground now.
Thinking, now that he had the chance, cut him off completely from the real world and left his ears unable to hear his family's conversation as they concentrated on listening to his thoughts.

Asi frowned and watched his son. "Yew do no figh' weaklin's." He hissed. He didn't like fighting at all, the only fight he'd ever gotten in was with now his closest, and only, male friend. Which was saying something, wasn't it?
He didn't notice Tamu at all, but asi was like that.

"Hmpf." Denahi rolled his eyes, ignoring Asi completely. "I'll fight whoever I want to fight." He replied, rather viciously at that, before stalking over towards Tamu. "Move, squirt." The cub snarled, rather unhappy at the moment (As if you couldn't tell? xD)
Ari sighed, glancing towards teh ground. "..." Her actions replaced her words. What had happened to cause the eldest son to go all...evil like?

Suddenly, right as Tamu started to brighten up and think that his day would actually be a good one, his brother snarled at him and told him to move. Narrowing his eye, the smaller of the two growled back at his brother. This surprised even him. Normally he was calm and relaxed, always one to avoid a fight. But this time, his brother had set him off at the wrong time. To make matters worse, the Voice spoke up again.
Don't let him insult you like that!!! was all that the male heard before he pounced on his brother. Suddenly he was clawing at the black one, yelling furiously, "Don't call me that!"
What came over him, he wasn't really sure at the moment, but he thought it was just another thing that caused him pain.. just another thing that the Voice did to torture him. He wanted to stop, he really did. He had recovered in the middle of clawing and biting his brother and knew that the had to stop. But something was forcing him to continue, and so he began to wail and cry.
"Ma! DADDY!!" he cried out.

Asi's eyes widened and he jerked to look over. "Feckin' blood n' ashes!" He hissed, heading over and suddenly grabbing Tamu by the scruff of his neck, hoisting him up in the air and away from the other son.
Great. One bully, one crazy and one manipulator in the family. Talk about hell spwan! He shot a 'help' look to his beloved mate.

Denahi's mind locked up, as Tamu attacked him. Once noting the fact /he/ was the one who was being clawed at, he snarled, wriggling from under Tamu. "GETTOFFME!" He shouted, hissing as the bites and scratches continued. Once the male was hoisted off him, Denahi shot to his feet. "Lemme at him! Lemme at him!" The charcoal cub tried snapping at his brother, jumping up on his haunches.
The eyes of the lioness widended, as she shot for the fighting cubs and Asi. "ENOUGH!" She roared, grabbing Denahi so his attempts to get Tamu were futile.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO!" Tamu wailed. In reality, he hadn't. But from his family's point of view, it might have been seen as an attempt at murder or something. Yet he would never do that to his brother, no matter how much Denahi got on his case and annoyed him. Most of the time, though, the black cub was tolerable.
Looking up a his father who was now holding him by the scruff, the fragile male whimpered, "I swear... I didn't mean to." His body shook with the whole shock of him actually attacking his brother. Now he felt really bad and it was all the Voice's fault! He had been pushed into that fight!!
"I'm v-very sorry, D-Denahi!" He tried to apologize, but for some reason he felt that he would never be forgiven for this. He would probably be closely monitored by his parents and would be kept away from his brother for a while at least..

Asi cringed as Tamu began to wail, and at Denahi's shouting. Oh gods, being a parent sucked hot rocks. He growled around the fringe of fur in his mouth, trying to get Tamu to quiet down. He felt bad, actually. Mostly he was shocked at Tamu's actions.
Great. Both fighters? Or was this a one time thing? He set Tamu down, but sat, sort of blocking him from Denahi. "Yew a'right?" He glanced to both cubs, he ment were both of them alright. Denahi from being attacked and.. tamu from whatever made him snap like that.

"I'm going to make you sorry if I ever get my paws on you!" Denahi snarled, wiggling around, snapping towards Asi and Tamu. It was unlike him to be acting this way in front of his parents. Well, I guess they know the true side of him now, eh?
Ari placed her son on the ground, mimicking Asi's actions by blocking him from his brother.
"I'd /be/ better if Ma would move," He huffed, answering his father with a flick of his tail around.

"Antelope..." Runako twisted his head around, in an attempt to rememeber that. It wasn't exactly a Genet's specality, antelope. "All right. Antelope. Daka, we go for antelope."
Dakari didn't look to pleased, esspically as he was eyeing Binti's twitching tail suspicously. He moved closer to Runako's side, pressing into it.

Binti ignored the genet deliberately--something about that critter just rubbed her the wrong way. "Alright. When we come across a herd with young, I'm going to have you stay hidden, and either scare them towards me, or just watch how I go about doing it, got it?" Binto peered down at the youngster, rolling her eyes at herself. How out of character was this?!

Tamu didn't even want to answer whether he was okay or not. There was no word to describe how he felt at the moment. It was sort of a mixture of being angry, sad, scared, insulted, and haunted all at the same time. It was a freaky feeling, and, really, he didn't know how long he would be able to bear this sort of thing. If this was to happen every time he was just the least bit annoyed, then he didn't want to speak to another lion. Ever.
And for once, the Voice didn't say anything, didn't speak up and yell at him for something. This soothed the little cub, but not enough to make him feel better. "I really didn't mean to, Dad," was all he could say.
Then, a moment later, he couldn't bear it any more. Denahi was mad at him and had even threatened him. Even with their parents there, he still didn't feel safe. They couldn't protect him from whatever it was that was haunting the brown male and probably never could. This is what set him off again, but differently. Instead of attacking someone, he bolted from his parents as fast as his little paws could carry him.
Of course, he wasn't the fastest of runners and so could easily be caught by anyone that wanted to catch him.

Asi snarled, getting rather annoyed. "Denahi, do no speak like tha', 'e says 'e di' no mean it, so suck it up. I do though' yew be madda tuffer stuff, hmm?" He sighed. "An' Tamu, e'en if yew di' no mean it it still no be righ' an--" He cut off as he glanced behind him, Tamu had taken off running! "Oh blood an' ashes!" He cursed under his breath, bounding to his paws and racing after the cub.
He was cought up in moments, ran around him and skidded to a stop, blocking his path. "Tamu, Tamu, calm yeself down.." He said, as soothingly as he could manage.

"I can scare things. I can be very scary. Watch this!" Runako attempted to prove that fact, by whipping his tail around (And hitting the genet in doing so), trying to do a scary face and going 'RRRRR'. All at a bug, that really didn't seem bothered at all.
