mourning dove oh, about the format... my image host wont take anything other than jpg or gif. Is this okay? Never use JPG. They were primarily built to handle photographs in a grid of 8 px squares, and thus fail spectacularly at pixel art.
As for gifs, while they reduce the colour depth (and subsequently the quality) in most avatars (with low number of colours used) you have to squint to tell a difference, so you should be okay with that.
Or you could try signing up on PhotoBucket.com, it's free and pretty widely used.

PNG (Portable Network Graphic) is the optimal format as it has support for more colour depth than Gif. It's essentially JPG, but without the crappy photo-compression artifacts.
Most editors I know use that.

I think any more additions (short of a dancing elephant background) would ruin this BEAUTIFUL collaboration.
IT'S A WRAP! Give yourselves a pat on the back!
and the winner of 200g for "Most Fitting Addition" is... ME! So I get to keep my money! Hooray!
... Just kidding, it's STKmisu! for that stunning bodice which is sexy, yet 'sweet country girl' enough to be cute! stare

Most editors I know use that. Yea, I used gif before mainly (awhile ago), but now I use png for my edits.

Oh wow! I've never won anything before (well.. based on my work that is). Many thanks! heart
... My photoshop is crazy - when it saves to PNG, it screws up the colour really bad (it darkens it). So, usually I save to JPG at highest quality, even though I'd rather do PNG.

Oooh ooh! Please let me do the hair! It's on my computer at home, so I can't get to it for a couple more hours.
