Trombone to Alto Sax? That would be a hard switch.

Well, in the midst of playing the piano, I played the clarinet, and then stopped. All I did was the piano.
This year, I've taken up the baritone, my first brass instrument, and after three months, my BD is switching me to the Tuba.

For myself, it was five years trumpet, a half-year of percussion (somewhere in between the trumpet), two years baritone (T.C.), a half-year trombone & tuba (scary year eek ), a year of...Piccolo!, and finally back to good ol' Baritone (the other two baritones couldn't handle their pieces). I also play piano, alto, and clarinet (last two I picked up from my friend). I'm diversified, but now our Baritones will kick your Brass.

Kudos to all of you who can switch instruments that quickly. It was easy for me to go from trombone to tuba, but then I took up baritone for marching. Concert season started up recently and I went back to tuba. Heh. First day I kept on playing too high and such.. But now I have a kick a** range. I can go the highest out of all the tubas. PWND!

All I can say is THANK GOD I never decided to pick trumpet. They are the spawn of Satan.

Are they (we?) really effective for an army? ...wait, slides CAN hurt a lot..^^; Absolutely, we play really loud, the enemies cover their ears, and then we attack with... umm... cleaning rods. Everyone needs to join the army. I have cookies.

One time, at band camp, we were sitting around the fire...., dont worry, I'm not even gonna start that. I'm new here and I'm a trombone player. (I hate French Horns!!!!! domokun ) I've played the trombone for 3 years. I play in a really good band. We've one ALOT of band competetions. (my band director is so old that one of his students he taught is in a retirement home and he's not!!!)
