The Main Thing
About the video:
I'm not feeling hurt or anything (as some might infer from the title) -- this in my opinion is one of the greatest music videos ever made. Cash sings with sincerity rarely seen in any sort of performances, let alone the usual eye-candy we see in music videos today... this is the last music video he ever did (or ever will), and it's an amazing one.
Nobody ever knows to put on their first line of their profiles (though I apparently do now). Some people start out with a snappy quote, but usually it's pretty dumb. Others try to 'welcome
' you to their profile. That's pretty boring too.
Even some decide to actually use this little section to talk about their lives, knowing that they can vent on this site whether or not anyone cares.
Others of us, who are just too lazy to think of anything else, simply criticize other
profiles to make us feel better about our own.
Who's better? The person who tries, or the person who criticizes the one who tries without trying?
It is the land of 'free speech' here on the internet. Do we have the right to make fake welcoming signs when all people are doing is entering some page and reading the stuff we throw up to impress them? Or does respect mean anything in this place? Most of us don't tell our friends how cool we are based off of the message of our profile page.
We may never know why we put up with what we do in our profiles, and we may never know why we even take the time out of our day to make a little blurb. But at least you've learned some profile philosophy, no matter how worthless, by coming to this page.
Now on with the "about me
... or, at least that's what my username is. Will I ever tell you my real name? Probably never - unless I think I can trust you enough.
I live in the Washington, DC area - interesting, but not quite if you don't live next to all the museums. It's a good city, though.
Also, I'm a stickler for good grammar - if you post like an idiot, you'll most likely be treated like one by me, though I normally try to be as kind as possible to anyone I stumble across.
Anyways, that's my little blurb on this... rather large site. Take care of yourself, reader. Fare well with this rather akward leaving message!
