Ayame accepted the map from Samhain, nodding softly. "Thank you." He tucked it away within his clothes, making a mental note to call the council together once more to review the offered material.

It was time. The group was enchanted, and with that their time was up. Nagoro and Ayame did not waste a second, gesturing towards the barrier. The Priestess instantly removed it, stepping back behind the Elders for them to say their last goodbyes.

"You may leave now." Ayame stated, not moving from his spot at the tree. Tomoe shifted, finally standing and leaving his spot to face the group. Bowing deeply, the young man offered a faint smile to his new friends.

"Thank you. For everything." He practically whispered before taking his spot behind the Elders, holding tightly the bracelet and music player he had been given.

With that, the group departed, some saying their last goodbyes and others almost fleeing from the forest. The trip to the bus was a long one, but not one of them could complain. They were lucky to return home in the first place, even if they could never discuss their journey with others.

Once they returned home they were met with concerned faces. Apparently, the company Claire worked for had attempted to reach him and couldn't. Claire easily shrugged the miscommunication off, claiming they had gotten lost during the trip. The tourists returned home, able to safely snuggle into their families arms and warm beds. Those who kept an eye on the news or attempted to reach Claire would receive no information. Anyone who attempted to discuss the Kumiho or break the promise to not reveal information would find that their body would be seized with an incredible amount of pain, followed with something completely different being said/written/signed. Often, embarrassing secrets were blurted out instead.

News of the Kumiho did not arrive, even after three weeks had passed. It seemed the Kumiho really must have decided to stay hidden.

The Meta has come to an end. Characters are now home safe and sound. Claire has taken a hiatus from their profession for the time being. It seemed the journey was just too much. The barrier has been fully restored and stronger then ever. It seems the Kumiho live on in memory through the group, but there is no telling how long the dwindling race will exist for.

It seems they will be the last to ever know of the Kumiho.

You didn't really think that was all, did you?

Another week passed, totaling a month after the event. Someone within the group woke early, turning their television on, which happened to be on the news channel. To their shock, a close up of the forest entrance could be seen and a reporter stood nervously in frame. Beside her stood two familiar men; Ayame and Nagoro. Ayame's tails were five times the normal size, yet Nagoro looked as calm as ever.

"What is that?!"
"That's a camera, sir."
"Why are you holding a stick to my face?!"
"I-It's a microphone."

Behind the men could be seen younger Kumiho exiting the forest, eyes drawn to the sky and people around them with wide eyes. The headline underneath read 'The Mystery Revealed'. Unfortunately, it seemed the reporter was struggling with trying to curb Ayame's curious and baffled questions, her hands trailing after the frantic man as he began pointing out each and every new thing he saw.

If one tuned in long enough they'd discover that the council had agreed to finally leave the forest. The villages would remain put, as some still called their forest home, but the outside world was no longer their enemy. Or, so they hoped. Of course, it took about 30 minutes to get that information, as Ayame absolutely NEEDED to know what every new blinking piece of technology was, but it seemed that Nagoro and Ayame had led the decision to leave the forest. It had taken weeks to convince their fellow council members, but it was thanks to them the Kumiho were leaving.

If one looked at the background clearly, they might have spotted familiar orange fur flit by the camera. Perhaps.... was that?

It would take a week for Tomoe to finally find Neptune, but eventually he wound up at his doorstep, taking the offer Neptune had so graciously given him.

The Academy, of course, within hours opened their doors to the Kumiho. Ava was going to be busy for at least the next few weeks.
