"Violet" the Houndour
Violet growled in annoyance, quickly darting to the side slightly, apparently still wary of him trying to ride her. She stared at him, clearly in disapproval, but simply kept her pace. "You won't be able to keep that up for long," she muttered, moving her gaze forward. A smirk suddenly crossed her muzzle. "And gravity can only move you so fast." She suddenly darted to the side, hitting the speed button and ramping it up, moving into a sprint to keep pace. After all, a cartwheel depended on how hard you kicked off, but she was pretty sure they could only go so fast, even for a monkey.

-]Clearly, this puppy wasn't one for cartwheels, because Striker could keep this up practically forever. Granted, his anatomy was a bit more suited for it than Violet's was, but there was still a limit to how fast he could go. Luckily, he was able to keep pace still after she turned the speed up, but it was pretty much as fast as he could go. Striker laughed though, rather maniacally as he continued.

"Violet" the Houndour
Violet sneered, leaning away from Striker a bit. She eyed him as he laughed, knocking the speed up a bit more, lengthening her sprint to keep the pace. This monkey wasn't just a little wild and crazy... he was outright batty. She was starting to question if his screws were perhaps a little too lose... or if he'd lost some altogether. Maybe it would be better to chase him off, after all. Or knock him out. She was stronger, she was pretty sure of it, not to mention she'd been training the entire time she was here, and though she could feel some fatigue, she could feel the benefits of it too. 'At least he's quiet,' she thought to herself, frowning and looking ahead. She was tempted to kick him off, but for now, she satisfied her annoyance by just trying to up the speed until he couldn't cartwheel his way through it.

-]Unfortunately for Striker, Violet was about to win this little contest. That last little bump to the speed controls were more than the young Pansear could keep up with. He lost balance and fell over, shooting off of the treadmill. Just as he was about to go flying, though, the monkey caught hold of the Houndour's tail and gripped it hard enough to jolt his body to a stop.

"Violet" the Houndour
Violet initially smirked as she saw him start to lose her balance. She had finally got him. Of course, he managed to turn it completely against her. She gasped and let out a yip as he grabbed her tail, trying to dig her claws in. The band was moving too fast, though, and the weight threw her off, and before she knew it, she was flying back with him and tumbling. Immediately she scrambled to her feet, letting out a fierce, barking growl, her eyes flashing. "STOP RUINING MY TRAINING!" she roared, smog already rolling from her jaws. She'd had enough. She was clearly at the snapping point, just like that. She seethed, but took a deep breath, the purple smoke fading as she seemed to try and turn her boiling rage down. "I'm trying to focus and I'm trying to get stronger. I don't care if you want to try and do the same but STOP interrupting ME!" she snarled, her fur practically on end. She was nearly ready to bite his face off, she was getting so sick of this. Who knew being sent to the Day Care could be so... infuriating.

What's what was going through Striker's mind as he untangled his body from the Houndour's and tried to pick himself up He had panicked and just grabbed onto whatever he could...he hadn't expected it would make the Houndour fall too...or that it would make her land on him and nearly crush him. As he got up, he tried to ignore violet's screaming. It was pretty easy actually, because as soon as he put weight on his leg it twisted and he went right back down, crying out in pain. He rocked back and forth slowly, cradling his hurt knee while he seethed a bit.

Violet snorted. Was he seriously hurt over... She didn't even know what. A sprained ankle? She was tough but it wasn't like she was a cinder block that had just tumbled with him. She wasn't as heavy or solid as a graveler. Geez. She rolled her eyes, scoffing as he coddled his injury. Without another word, but a great deal of unimpressed annoyance, she leaped back onto the treadmill, turning the speed down a few more notches. She really, really didn't care if he was hurt. That was what he got for being stupid. She was fine, and she was goign to continue her training. She'd lost enough time as it was.
It was really too bad she wasn't a decent pokemon with an ounce of sympathy.

-]Really, the little Pansear's injury was not quite as bad as he made it out to be, but he wanted the Houndour to at least feel guilty about crushing him like that. She had to weigh at least three or four times what he did...or at least that's what he thought. When she completely ignored him, however, Striker got up and hobbled off behind one of the obstacle course block, sniffling loudly and starting to cry a bit...just for the sake of maybe getting more attention.

If Striker was expecting Violet's attention, he might not've been paying attention. She wasn't a softy. She wasn't anywhere near it. She wasn't a vulcan, she did have emotions, but she didn't bother sparing them towards pokemon that had done nothing but provoke and annoy her. Why... on Earth... would she feel bad for him? Because he pulled her tail when he stupidly tried to cartwheel on her treadmill after having bothered her constantly? Yeah... No. She didn't know him. She hadn't wanted to. She didn't feel bad that he got himself in trouble and her only feelings towards the matter was that she was glad she was strong enough not to get hurt in the fall, too. Her attention remained on her training. He could go soak his ankle in the lake if it hurt that much.

He would probably be fine if he just stayed off of it for a while. To that end, the little monkey decided to climb back up onto one of the taller obstacles and lay down. He hung down over the edge a bit, watching his new friend run. "Wow," he commented, "You're a certain kind of 'special', aren't you? Doesn't that ever get boring, just running, running, running like a crazy person?"

Violet managed not to roll her eyes, grimace, or even huff when Striker decided to drop his plea for attention and rejoin her. Perhaps she was getting used to it? Or coming to expect it, at least. "Hmm," she hummed flatly in response, staring dully ahead. She shifted her gaze up, though, looking to him and speaking after a brief moment. "Does it ever get boring being a weak nuisance? I'm driven, that doesn't make me crazy. I don't want to be weak, or easily injured. I want to evolve and I want to get stronger," she stated. She lowered her gaze, looking forward. "After I do that, maybe I'll slow down. I'll let my trainer tell me what he wants to do. But for now, he's given me an opportunity to really train myself. I'm taking it." Her ears went back and she narrowed her eyes, still staring straight ahead. "I don't care if you think that's crazy."

Violet rolled her eyes this time, at least, when he burped out part of his response. She glanced at him only when she noticed the silence that followed, raising an unimpressed eyebrow at the startled response he seemed to he having. So, what... he couldn't even control his own bodily functions? The simple ones like burping? Her sarcasm was uncalled for, and she probably really did need to get over herself a bit, but at least she wasn't commenting out loud. She shook her head and then gave a shrug as she maintained her trot, looking ahead again. "Maybe if you trained, you would be able to breath fire faster. I'm sure your species learns Ember, at least, at some point," she pointed out. There were ways to have made it less condescending, though... Where was Annie to point out her fails when you needed him?

The young Pansear didn't really know why he was being bothered by such a weird feeling...like heartburn, but not...
