Ren's ears folded back as Pearl went over to him and bumped him with her hips. Was she serious? "No, thank you." he stated, then turned away to lick on of his paws. Inari, however, didn't mind if the blue fox didn't want to join, gekkering playfully at Pearl. Upon hearing her say 'hide', the fairy fox dove under an unoccupied table, wriggling her way under the booth seat. "Hide!" she yipped, one of her three tails still sticking out where it can be seen.
Leon had heard that line so many times, both meant as an actual question or as a flirtatious comment, that he was hardly phased that Apollo made the same kind of comment. "Yes, if you needed it, I could." he responded simply with a bit of a smile. Shortly after, his attention was drawn back to the answer to the question he had asked. "Oh? Well, I wouldn't mind taking a look at what you have. I might even have something to offer in return." Leon responded. He did still have some excess flying types that he needed to find a place for.

Pearl frowned gently when Ren declined her offer, disappointed but not offended. "Okay!" she eventually responded then batted one of his tails teasingly. "If you change your mind though, we'd be more than happy to have you." With that settled she bounded over to where Inari had 'hidden' herself, only to figure that it'd last longer if she pretended she didn't know where the fox was. With her nose twitching, and all senses pointing to the table, she headed for one of the couches instead, peering behind it. "You there, Inari?" she called out, just barely stifling a giggle.
Apollo kept his smile when Leon confirmed that he could give mouth-to-mouth, or 'CPR' if you wanted to be technical, if it was needed; on a professional level that was reassuring, on a more personal level however... "What if I didn't need it?" he questioned, small smile growing into something a bit more... devious. "Would you still give it to me then?" Despite himself the bright-haired made the switch from flirt to legitimate trainer with ease, delivering his line before he asked if Leon wanted any water-types. Leon was willing to at least look at them, and even had a possibility of giving him something in return. That was new, the last two trades he'd made the male hadn't received anything in return, though that was more because he'd declined compensation. He was finding water-type pokemon homes, unless he felt the need to begin selling them he figured he didn't need anything in return; as far as he was concerned he had enough pokemon of his own anyway.
Gesturing for Leon to follow him Apollo once more headed for the PC, logging into the computer before he stepped to the side so that the raven-haired male could peer into the screen and decide if, between the few options available, he wanted one. "I have three Froakie and an Oshawott," he presented, in the back of his mind rather proud of himself for having gotten down to just those four. And to think! When he'd first started those numbers had been in the double digits.

Ren's left ear twitched a bit in annoyance as Pearl batted a paw at one of his tails. At least she finally left him alone after that, so he didn't get snappy at her. Instead, the Vulpix huffed and proceeded to groom himself. Inari, however, went to go hide, watching from under the bench as Pearl came looking for her. The fairy fox wiggled a bit as the eevee went to peer behind a couch. Her red markings glowed a bit as a crude imitation of Inari's shadow appeared on the wall from behind the couch, but disappeared shortly after.
Leon blinked, staring at Apollo as the blonde proceeded to flirt with him. Ah. The dark haired male couldn't help but be a little fun in breaking the news to the blond. He leaned towards Apollo, gently placing his hands on his shoulders and making eye contact. "I'm flattered, really. And you are very good looking..." he smiled, then pulled away. "However, I'm sorry. I have a girlfriend, and even if i didn't, I don't swing that way. Thank you for the interest, though." Leon informed the blond, stepping back but still having a friendly demeanor about him. It wasn't really the first time a guy had hit on him before - it's not something that really bothered him when it happened, though. He wouldn't pass any judgement on anyone for their preference. Instead, he took it as a compliment.

Pearl continued calling out for Inari, knowing full well that her playmate was underneath the table but didn't want to ruin their game by finding her immediately. She was almost done with poking around the couch, prepared to move off to a new area before she finally gave in and searched underneath the table, only to jump when she saw a shadow of the fox plastered across the wall directly behind the couch. Pearl jumped. But... she could've sworn that Inari was underneath the table! Had she moved? And if so... how was it that her shadow was from behind the couch, when she had just thoroughly investigated it? Brimming with curiosity she raced back to the table, where her friend lay hidden. "How did you do that!?" she exclaimed, momentarily forgetting that they were in the midst of Hide N' Seek. "I mean, uh... found you!"
Apollo quirked an eyebrow, curious and yet fully intrigued when Leon drew closer to him. He hadn't expected Leon to be the type to reciprocate his advances, or at least... that hadn't been the vibe he'd been given off, and yet... His eyes drew to the hand on his shoulder before he looked back down at the male. He was taller, not by too many inches but just enough where it was noticeable. Maybe he'd been wrong... Apollo flashed a grin when Leon admitted him to be attractive, though that expression faltered when the other drew away to deliver the news that he was both in a relationship, and wasn't even attracted to men; aw, what a letdown. The bright-haired male was a good sport about it, however, chuckling softly as he reached up to swipe a bit of hair behind his ear. "Your girlfriend is a lucky one," he remarked. "But, if you ever get curious about what it's like with another man, give me a call-- I'll be sure to give you my number." With another soft laugh Apollo leaned forward to gently pat Leon's left cheek, a tad disappointed in the way their conversation had turned but not terribly, then proceeded to stroll over to the PC.
After showing his options Leon decided on a Froakie, a female at that. Apollo nodded before he turned back to the computer to begin extracting the frog and then, as an afterthought, deposited two of his own pokemon into the PC for storage. He turned around, pokeball in hand once it'd materialized, and waited patiently for Leon to list off the pokemon he had available to trade and then display them onto the PC's screen. "Hmmm," Apollo hummed as he gave some thought to the few pokemon. There were quite a few of them, and if he remembered correctly they were all flying types, he needed one of those... though hopefully not one as volatile as that Rufflet had been. "Swablu," he finally decided, eyes falling onto the cotton bird.

Inari yipped when Pearl ran over to her, pawing at the floor as she squeezed out from under the bench. "Play~ Like this!" she exclaimed, her red marks glowing again as she had an shadow like hers and another like pearls creep out from under the table on the floor. Her three tails wiggled and she pounced on the shadows, making them disappear and her markings went back to normal.
Apollo seemed to take it rather well. Which was good, since Leon felt he could probably be friends with this guy. Even if he seemed to be even more of a flirt than he was. "I doubt I'd be contacting you for that, but I'll still take your number." Leon replied. Then they got to talking about a possible pokemon trade, and Leon took a liking to the idea of having himself a froakie. He offered up a list of flying types, and Apollo settled on a Swablu. "Seems like a fitting choice for you." Leon commented, going to the pc and pulling the pokemon out. He then handed over the pokeball with the swablu in it, and after receiving the froakie in return, he pulled out his phone to give Apollo his number.
In the process of checking his phone, he noticed he had a couple of unread messages, one of which being from Isis. It looked like he received it last night after going to bed. He'd respond shortly, but for now he just read it and smirked. Another was from a friend that was asking if he was going to the fair. Wait... what fair? Leon decided he'd look more into it after he exchanged numbers with Apollo.

Pearl backpedaled when Inari wiggled out from underneath the table, her eyes growing wide when, once again, Inari created a shadow, though this time included hers as well. "That's so cool!" she gushed, her body practically quivering with excitement at her friend's skill. It was only afterwards did she remember that they were still in the midst of a game and, with a clearing of her throat, looked back up at Inari. "Oh! Uhm, do you want to continue playing Hide N' Seek?" she questioned, though her curious gaze fell to Inari's markings as she did so. She'd noticed that they'd begun to glow when she'd summoned those shadows.
Apollo simply chuckled, kept amused by Leon's response-- though he was content that the other would take his number. "You never know what the future has in store," he pointed out, grin ever wide. Before he could get into the literal hundreds of what-ifs, or give Leon his number, the two would have to finish their trade. Admittedly, Apollo had been going to decline Leon's offer, in his opinion he already had enough pokemon as is, but... unfortunately he was a rather weak-willed man--or at least in this time and circumstance--and had almost instantly changed his mind when he saw that Leon had in his possession a Swablu. "It certainly has a rather elegant air about it," he agreed, rather happy that Leon also thought his particular choice of pokemon suited him. No sooner had the trade been made and Apollo had clipped the new pokeball onto his belt than he had his communicator on, ready to exchange numbers.
Looking it over he realized he had two new messages, both from Cy and Zak. Truth be told he'd known about them, he'd felt the vibrations of the texts when they'd arrived, he just hadn't replied to them until now since it would've been rude to do so when he was with company. Now that he had a bit of time though he was quick to respond to both, afterwards handing out his number to Leon and vice versa. "Thank you for the trade," he spoke, in the process of entering Leon's number.

Leon didn't have anything else to say on Apollo's comments, offering a smile instead as they started to figure out the trade. Apollo accepted the trade - his froakie for Leon's spare swablu, and the pokemon were exchanged. "Thank you. I'll take really good care of her." Leon smiled, tucking her ball into his bag. He'd have to rearrange his team soon, and by then, he'll figure out how to approach training the frog. The two exchanged numbers, and both happened to have messages to reply to. After adding Apollo's number to his device, he cast a glance around, noticing a poster nearby giving more details on the fair that his friend had mentioned. Certainly seemed like a fun time. Leon responded to Isis' text from the night before, and invited her on a 'date' to go to the renaissance fair with him. Well, or at least meet him there.
After he had sent a response to Isis, it seemed that Apollo was finished texting too, asking him what he was up to. "Ah, well, there seems to be a renaissance fair going on. I'm going to head there to meet up with my girlfriend." Leon responded, gesturing at the poster nearby. "If you have nothing better to do, do you want to come along? Platonically, of course." the raven haired male asked the blonde.

Pearl watched, with her head to one side, as Inari began to chase her own tails. Although amusing to watch, it wasn't what she'd had in mind. "Hide N' Seek, remember?" she called out, trying to jog her friend's memory. "I'll hide and then you try and find me!" Maybe she had to be more specific? If that was the case then she could definitely do that.
Apollo grinned when Leon promised to care for the Froakie he'd been traded, relieved that he'd managed to find another decent trainer to give the pokemon to. Man, he was good at this. Maybe he could start volunteering at an adoption center, if he got on television he was sure his good looks alone could persuade a few people to look into adopting a pokemon. "You're welcome, I'll make sure to do the same with that Swablu." In fact, he already had a name picked out for the pokemon. Swablu were rather sing-song birds, or at least they were in his head, so why not name him after a choir section? 'Alto' seemed appropriate, it was the highest note a man could sing in-- though there were a few gifted few that could sing Soprano. With the pokemon trade squared away the two worked on exchanging numbers, Apollo taking that time to reply to a few messages he'd gotten earlier.
When he'd asked what plans Leon had next the raven-haired male made mention of a Renaissance Fair, an event he'd be going to meet his girlfriend at. Apollo followed Leon's hand as he pointed out a nearby posture plastered on the wall, explaining the event in greater detail. "Hm," he regarded it with mild interest before he turned back to look at Leon, raising an eyebrow when he put emphasis on joining him as a friend. "Sure, sounds fun." He looked back at the poster, the fair was right next to Anville Town? "You go on ahead to the train station, I'll meet you there." The bright-haired male slipped his hands into his pockets before he began to make to return to his room, whistling for Pearl to join him. Even if she was having fun, he couldn't leave her with Leon to watch over as he moved off to the train station.

Inari stopped chasing her tails, tilting her head at Pearl as she reminded her of the game they were playing. However, before they could play some more, the eevee was called back to her trainer. The fairy fox returned to her trainer, too, jumping on Kai's back nimbly. Kai wasn't bothered by the fox getting on his back - he was quite used to her by now, merely grumbling as she padded on his back.
Leon smiled and gave a nod when Apollo said he'd take good care of the swablu, too. Though he had just met Apollo, he had a feeling he wasn't the type to mistreat pokemon, so he believed him. They exchanged numbers and responded to messages, then Apollo asked what Leon was up to. Leon told him about the Ren fair, inviting him along platonically. Apollo seemed to think about it for a moment, but accepted. "Alright. I'll meet you at the station, then." Leon replied, waving to the blonde as he left with his eevee, presumable to wrap some things up? Either way, He returned Ren to his ball, then motioned for Kai and Inari to follow him.
It wasn't long before Leon was at the train station, getting a ticket and standing aside, waiting for his newly made friend. He got a brief response from Isis, and he got right to replying, grinning. He couldn't wait to see her. Though, he would have preferred to drop in on her to surprise her, but the fair was going to be fun.

Pearl, who was all ready and geared to continue their game, stopped when she was called back by Apollo, her ears falling back in disappointment before she reluctantly turned away to bound after her trainer. They'd been so close too!
The corners of Apollo's mouth lifted up in a smile, the expression matching Leon's currently. He was rather pleased with how his day had gone, he'd traded three pokemon and gotten two numbers and a pokemon of his own, and now he was going to a Renaissance Fair, Leon having invited him. The fair was in Unova, which was where he needed to be returning to anyway, which meant that he'd need to get Kahn and his saxophone case before he left. Apollo excused himself, encouraging Leon to go ahead to the train station, and recalled Pearl to him. Together the two returned to his temporary, room where Kahn, more or less, awaited them. The Persian opened one eye when the door opened, his tail twitching in mild interest. "Come on Kahn, we're going." He gave a yawn and then a luxurious stretch, getting himself together, before hopping off the bed to slowly join his trainer at the door.
Apollo made sure that he had everything together, saxophone case held firmly in his hand, before he made his way back into the lobby to return his room key. He gave the room a quick sweep, taking note that Leon had already gone off, and with a wave to Nurse Joy and another word of thanks he left the center to head straight for the center. This Renaissance Fair.. its stalls and vendors would all be dressed in medieval wear, wouldn't they? A few of the visitors probably would too, perhaps he'd get into the spirit of things as well and purchase a costume when he got to the fair, there was bound to be a stall selling them. It didn't take long for the musician to reach the train station and, with the line relatively short, he was able to buy his ticket in a timely manner before he moved to join Leon, the male easy to spot with both Kai and Inari still out of their pokeballs. "Ready to head out?" he questioned, shifting himself slightly.

It actually didn't seem to take Apollo all that long to meet him up at the station. They both had their tickets bought, and all that was needed was for the train to come in so that they could board. "Sure am!" Leon smiled. He then noticed a white persian with him now. "Your Persian is quite stunning." he commented, as they waited for the train. It wasn't long before the locomotive showed up, and Leon boarded the train with Apollo. And though he got some looks for it, he left Kai and Inari out of their balls. It wasn't like they were misbehaving.

Apollo couldn't help but chuckle at Leon's excitement, though whether or not that was from heading to the fair or seeing his girlfriend he supposed he'd never know. Kahn, who'd settled at his right with his tail wrapped around his paws, lifted his chin in appreciation when he was commented. "Careful, give him too many compliments and his head'll get too big," he joked, one hand moving down to pet his Persian's snowy head. Kahn's nose twitched, now wasn't that just the pot calling the kettle black? "Thank you though, his name is Kahn." Soon the train arrived and the two males, accompanied with their pokemon, boarded. Pearl was the last to join, and before she could even step aboard she felt something grab onto her tail. She turned around, confused, though relaxed when she saw another Eevee, unfamiliar to her but definitely friendly. "Hey there~" she greeted, eyes sliding to the open doors of the train. "Are you getting on too?" The brown fox straightened up, eyes sparkling with joy. "Sure am! Now c'mon, we don't wanna miss the train!" Pearl nodded eagerly and, with her new friend, joined Apollo on the train.

Isis didn't comment, since she felt like she had a mix of both somehow, and she still wasn't sure which was worse. Not to mention, apparently she was forgetting things left and right. If Isis ever had a blonde moment before, this was her worst. "I don't remember you saying that at all!" Isis lightly smacked the side of her head with the heel of her hand, as if racking her brain to try and remember. She recalled doing that interview with Zero all those years ago at the chingling fair, but not so much the conversation when he mentioned being a contest goer for the first time. "I'm sorry, that was such a long time ago... My memories of our first few meetings are really hazy... I was just panicked and looking for Blaze and ran into your group at the time..." Isis sighed. She really only had better memory when she took a picture of something. Her camera was quite literally her photographic memory. "Y-yeah I guess that makes sense... I just thought you were really good I guess..." Isis chuckled sheepishly. She still did, technically.
And speaking of unclear memories, the idea that they had met before in the past without knowing it was certainly an interesting one, though Isis suggested that the only way she would remember him would have to involve some embarrassing accident involving the dumping of concessions on him or vice versa. She laughed as Zero suggested if he was supposed to be trying to recall such a memory, or if she was suggesting she hadn't done it before. "Haha, oh gosh, neither. I know I didn't do it to your or I would remember, because I have done it to other people and I distinctly remember their faces because I was so horribly embarrassed, and none of them were silver haired, so that rules out you and two of your friends." Isis chuckled. "Yeah.... I think I would remember seeing an opening act like that before, but then again I would think I'd remember something like the fact that your father ran the master contest hall too." Isis laughed and shook her head in dismay.
Considering the fact that they'd been ignoring the Fuchsia beach entirely, Isis suggested that perhaps they fly on to another destination and perhaps continue their discussion there. Though as Isis took off, she couldn't help but notice a golden blur zip by soon after she had started flying. Soon they landed in Goldenrod City, and Isis once again let Nocturne return to the sky soon after Isis hopped off of her. "Goldenrod was another pretty notable place, I mean, up north you have the nice gardens and the pokeathelon, here you have the game corner, which I still have yet to try, and lots of shops too~ It's kind of like Lumiose, but slightly less overwhelming." While they were on the subject of things forgotten, they went on for a bit about the possibility of having met before, or at the very least, one having spotted the other back in those days. Trust me, she can have a temper now, sure, but she's mellowed out a lot since she was younger. And I mean like, exponentially so."
Before long though, they opted to skip the beach trip proper and just move onto the next stop, hoping to make good time to the fair. When they hopped off their respective fliers, Isis immediately gave a brief overview of Goldenrod, and Zero scanned the area until his gaze finally returned to Isis. "Certainly seems like a nice place. If you haven't been to it, why don't we visit the game corner then? Should take too much time."

They discussed the possibilities of spilling concessions on Zero or his friends, and based on what Isis had described, it ruled out everyone, especially Andreas, since apparently the young black haired female would have flipped.
