Adrian cocked his head as he saw Lillian move around the nose of the car before a very slight smile flickered over his face as he, in one startlingly fluid movement, unlatched the seat belt and scooped Lillian up in his arms bridal style. "Or maybe I can help you get inside, sweetie," he said with a faint teasing smile. His eyes were a cheerful indigo with navy edges though he wasn't too surprised when Rōkai leaped out of the back seat and followed them as they walked towards the house; he knew she would notice the pain in her shoulder ebbing away with each step as he focused on walking while healing any other damage to her body. He didn't, however, notice a few drops of his own blood falling into Lillian's mouth from his own which would enhance the healing greatly on top of tasting sweet.

Lillian looked to Adrian as she watched him getting out of the car and scooping her up before she could even protest. Yet it wasn't like she would because she felt like a princess being carried like that. She nuzzled her face into Adrian's neck as she hugged him, before saying. "That'd be just fine." Her face was turning pink, though she didn't care if her parents or anyone saw that she was blushing. Looking up she saw Adrian's eyes and she couldn't help but smile. Her purple-blue colored eyes glittered in the porchlight softly as she looked into Adrian's eyes, feeling that she'd get lost in his eyes, thought that didn't bother her at all. Feeling the aching pain in her body slowly ebbing away she wondered if Adrian was responsible and smiled. "I am feeling much better now." she said just before the blood dripped in to her mouth. It did not taste like blood, so she didn't think that's what had dripped into her mouth as she kissed Adrian happily.

Adrian chuckled softly, hugging her gently as she spoke while blushing before she kissed him. He was momentarily surprised as he felt something shifting in his mouth that wasn't his own tongue. He exhaled slowly as she pulled away, a slightly dazed look in her eyes. "Daring little minx, aren't you?" he murmured with amusement. He saw the door open as they got closer to it as Rosaline came out, obviously ready to go to work. He didn't see the bruising on the side of his face and the blackening eye, both being on the right side of his face. Small droplets of blood dripped from the hand holding Lillian's shoulder, though it wasn't coming from her. He had yet to realize he had several cuts on his fingers and palm from helping Faith get out of the barbed wire.

As Lillian pulled from the kiss she looked up at Adrian and nuzzled him. She heard him speaking and her face turned ever redder, though she did not mind it. "Problem?" she asked playfully, in reply to Adrian's words, just as she heard the door opening. She whipped her head around, looking to see if it was her father, yet it was her mother, thankfully. Rosaline looked at the two and she smiled before talking. "Lillian did you have fun with your friends, or were you secretly trying to hang out with Adrian? If so I'll not be angry, nor will I tell your father if you were. I-- Oh my goodness... What happened to you Adrian?!" she asked suddenly as she noticed the bruising on his face and the shiner on his right eye. She knew that she had to get to work soon, though she wondered if she shouldn't just check Adrian right here and now. She also took notice to the little bit of blood that was dripping from his hand. Rosaline had not taken notice to the fox that was with them, yet if she looked down from Adrian's face she would have seen the animal right away.

Adrian sighed, shrugging slightly. "Let's just say a friend of mine ran into trouble and managed to contact me... I helped her, though she did have her arm caught in some barbed wire," he said with a faint smile. He tried not to laugh at the uncertain and nervous expression on Lillian's face, though he found it adorable.

Lillian looked to her mother, yet turned her gaze back to Adrian and asked him metally if he'd let her mother check him out because she thought that it might be best since he'd had his head slammed against an air conditioning unit. As she did this she heard her mother talking and she sounded shocked. "That does not sound good at all... Has she been checked out? And do you want me to check you out? I have some time between now and the time that I have to get to the hospital, so I could check if you're all right." Rosaline said as she shifted her bag on her shoulder and gave Adrian a look full of questioning and concern for him.

Adrian tilted his head slightly. "She has her sister, or to quote her words 'Kate will take care of it', and besides, the wounds were fairly shallow compared to some," he said quietly, wincing slightly as he shifted, not noticing the trickle of blood that ran down in front of his ear. "It wouldn't hurt," he said to her concerned look about the check-up. He knew she'd be fairly surprised at how roughly he'd been treated and the fact that he was still conscious through it all.

Lillian hoped that Adrian would let Rosaline check him out and she was relieved that he said he would. She had heard that his friend had said that 'Kate would take care of it' because she did not want to see anyone that was close to Adrian hurt or not being able to get checked up on. "Well, let's get you inside, dear. I wouldn't want you to have to wait any longer. And I could take you in to the hospital and check you there if I feel that I'll be late. Although, this probably shouldn't take more than a few minutes to be sure that everything is all right with you." Rosaline said as she turned around, holding the door open from Adrian and Lillian before walking inside and setting her purse on the couch.

Adrian walked into the doorway, letting Lillian's feet touch the floor in the process. He didn't think of it the way some people would think of it. He shifted, shedding his vest and jacket which revealed quite a few bruises and scrapes as well as the severe burn on the back of his shoulder. He wasn't surprised to find several cuts on his upper arms had partially healed, though some of his injuries were fairly harsh by normal standards.

As her feet touched the floor Lillian sighed, wishing that Adrian could have held her longer, though she knew that she would have to be put down if her mother was to check him. "I'll be in the kitchen getting something to eat." she said as she left her mother and Adrian alone. As she walked to the kitchen she said something about hoping there were still some of her brownies left and something about eating ice cream with them. Rosaline rolled her eyes as she heard her daughter mentioning eating desserts. "I swear, that girl eats too many sweets." she said, a chuckle in her voice before she turned to Adrian and saw that he looked like he'd taken a serious beating. "Oh my goodness... What on earth happened...? What did those people do to you when they were fighting you?!" she asked, her voice sounding between a mixture of shock and concern for the boy's health.

Adrian shrugged. "Not much; they tried knocking the bolts of an air conditioning unit in with my head and tried to toss me off a six story building... other than that? Not much," he said with a chuckle, joking though he knew while he said it with a joking tone he wasn't joking at all. "Besides, I'm not that surprised that she has a sweet tooth, considering how pleasant her family can be," he said quietly, referring to Rosaline herself.

Rosaline listened intently to Adrian's words with worry in her eyes. "That is nothing to joke about... You could have been killed..." she said, her voice half scolding, half worried for Adrian. Rosaline knew that she'd have to check Adrian for a concussion, as well as check him to see that none of the wounds that were on him had a chance of getting infected. She was about to say that she'd be right back, though she caught Adrian's words just before she could speak. "That's really sweet, though you have to sit down... I need to get some things to clean your cuts, scrapes and whatever else that may possibly get infected. As well as other things that I think I might need while giving you your check-up." she said before quickly heading to gather what she needed and coming right back.

Adrian shrugged as Rosaline spoke in a mildly scolding tone. He sat down near the table, not surprised at her words and not really minding them. He gently scratched Rokai's ears as she settled next to his feet, though his double vision and disorientation had faded to a throbbing headache.

Rosaline sighed as she prepared to give Adrian a full check over, without having to remove his clothes. Although, before she was able to get anything done she noticed Rokai and she stepped back around a foot or two. "Where...? That came in with you...? And that's a fox right? Or no? Because it looks much more muscular than a fox should be..." she said, in awe of the animal, yet her thoughts turned to Lillian and wondered where she'd really gone. "Lillian! You get in here this instant!" she barked and Lillian walt into the living room from the kitchen whilst licking the ice cream and brownie from her spoon. [colo=purple]"What's up mom?" she asked before looking to where her mother was pointing. Lillian sighed and admitted to her mother that she'd gone to her uncle's house, but the fox had not come from her uncle that liked creating hybrid animals. Rosaline sighed at her daughter's words, though she was at least happy that Lillian had not gotten hurt, or so she thought. "Just do not go there without telling someone... You know how I feel about you going there alone... I know that he's your uncle on your father's side and that he is actually a respected man. But I don't want you going there and risking getting yourself hurt by those wolf hybrids..." she said before turning to Adrian, telling him that he may need to come into the other room while she gave him a full check-up and cleaned all his cuts, scrapes and burns before having to get going. She knew that she'd be cutting it close getting to work, though she wanted to be sure that Adrian was all right before she left.

Adrian patted Rokai's head. "She actually lives with me, with her sibling, and they were born naturally," he said with a slight shrug though he wasn't surprised at Rosaline's words. He stood carefully, blinking as he realized the headache was still painful and throbbing, but not as bad as it had initially been. "Lead the way, though considering there were seven of them and one of me... I know I got off light," he said quietly; he knew exactly how he'd gotten the concussion, though. A Pursuit Cop had gotten him from behind with a Taser rod, creating the nasty burn on the back of his shoulder, then a second clocked him across the face, loosening his tooth, disorienting him, and slamming the side of his head into the air conditioning unit; the man had then tried to kick him back into it, but he'd narrowly evaded it before getting tackled almost over the edge of the building by the same guy that had Tased him.
