Fudou took a break to flex his leg muscles and shift them around a bit. He could feel the sensation of pins and needles rushing in entirely too quickly, and even just an accidental nudge or jostle of his feet caused him to seize up for a few moments. It was mostly annoying and awkward, especially since it meant that he would be stuck at his seat for a few more minutes even if he got these last two knots out quickly. He looked over at Takami and was surprised to see him actually off in a corner. Small yips came from that corner as well. So he was dealing with their lunch problem? He failed to see Takami leave Pakku's lunchbox open for Chiisana, but he didn't miss the smirk Takami threw Pakku, though he didn't think much of it. His own patience towards the Inuzuka was running thin since the kid didn't seem to know how to control his own animal. (Fudou didn't have a strong grasp of the whole 'ninja partners are not pets' thing yet.)

Fudou was oddly touched when Takami plopped his lunch in front of him. Normally, he'd just nod, but this guy was just so... he couldn't really describe him. Simple? Happy? Friendly? (Probably what his impression of Shiro would have been if they hadn't first met under sparring circumstances) "Thanks," Fudou said, riding out the wave of pinpricks at his feet. He inhaled some of the smell of the bento to keep himself going and looked to a side. The Hyuuga was studying the scroll, except when you looked harder it became clear that he was just lost in his own little world. "Focus!" Fudou then leaned over his legs and tried to untie the second-last knot, at his calves. Ko-sensei would probably have made these knots tighter to make up for the fact that he had full control of his arms now. It took a bit of manouevring with his chakra to get the knot loose, but eventually he was able to suss out the individual threads and untangle it with his fingers.

The boy smiled at his new friend, the usual warmness in his eyes. "I promise I'll focus!" The boy jokingly moved away from his friend, turning his back to Fudou, allowing him to finish untying himself, and then eat his lunch. Quickly, Takami opened the next scroll, finally focused, and quickly began to read about poisonous spiders and insects, and then the boy, as he had done before, started to organize the spiders from least effective to most deadly, writing less descriptive for the smaller, ineffective spiders, such as a garden spider, and making just slightly more detailed descriptions for spiders such as the wolf spider, finally getting to the final two, most deadly spiders, the black widow, and the six-eyed sand spider, both killing the victim within a day or two. Taka got a knot in his stomach, reading the side effects of a black widow bite, severe pain, paralysis, and finally death from a paralyzed heart, he was thankful that he parents kept their house so clean, completely afraid of spiders. The boy moved onto the final spider, the six-eyed sand spider, being rumored as the most deadly spider in the world, mostly living in warmer, and, well, sandier climate, such as Sumagakue. The boy was also thankful for the spider's mild temperament, also noting the antidote for each of the venom's and making a note on how to use chakra to extract the poison of the spiders. The boy moved onto the next half of the scroll, various insects, such as scorpions, caterpillars, and beetles. Quickly reading over the various insects and making notes on each of them, and sketching pictures of each of them, the boy finished graciously, tying up the scroll with lavender boy, and turning around to face Fudou, "Think fast!" he joked, throwing the scroll at his young friend.

(Imma go to bed now Kouri!
I hope that you're still awake in eight hours when I wake up!
Anyways, good night!
+1 to Fuduo)

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

After throwing the scroll playfully at his new aquatint, Takami turned back around to focus on the next scroll, grabbing both the first and second half of 'Marine Animal Poisons,' and the young Hyuuga thought about Fudou sitting behind him, and wondered if Takami was being rude having his back turned to his friend, so that they could both finish their work? No, they both had to finish their assignments, and they could talk later, after all they were already meeting after school, Takami planning to loan his notes to his new friend. The boy opened the two scrolls, and laying then side by side, mentally separating the animals from least to most toxic, starting with Sea Lice, and ending with the Blue ringed Octopus. The boy wrong down generic information on each animal, such as where they live, what they look like, what symptoms their poison leaves in the body, and the final effects of the poison. Takami also noted the fact that all the poison's could be extracted with chakra, though the amounts increasing as the list went on, and then the boy read over the first few animals, Sea lice, Fire Jellyfish, and Sea Nettle among them, causing only slight damage if they're touched, moving onto a slightly more dangerous animal, Sea Amemone, causing Paralysis for a slight period of time, which would be more than enough for someone to get ambushed, or attacked by another animal in Taka's opinion. The boy continued down the list, drawing detailed sketches next to each animal, and trying to make the notes sound they best as they possibly could, the boy practically copied all of the descriptions straight from the original scroll. The boy finally moved onto the final two items on the second scroll, the cigarette snail and the blue-ringed octopus, both causing significant damage, and paralysis, and in the case of the blue ringed octopus, the victim is left mute, unable to scream for help. The boy shiver, looking over at the wall, "I never realized there were so many dangerous fish," the boy muttered to himself. He rolled up the scrolls individually with the lavender ribbons, putting them to his left, the boy looked down beside him to the right, seeing only the two books left, a smile edging it's way onto his face. Picking up the book, the boy opened the cover, and began to read.

This guy was way too open! It was weird! Was that what they were like in noble families, since they had the luxury not to be so guarded? That Uchiha had been pretty cheerful too under that veneer of politeness. It was completely unlike what he'd learned from TV and performing troupes though, where they were always the center of dastardly plots. Fudou shrugged, he wasn't one to dwell on others' issues for long and he returned to untying his knots. He only had one left... and then, lunch!

Fudou leaned over, but did so too quickly, or moved wrong somehow, and felt his chair tottering precariously. Something about his center of balance had been wrong then. He quickly went back to his original position, just in time to catch a scroll that Takami tossed over. It was one of the ones he had been studying earlier, and one word printed on the top was enough to catch Fudou's interest. Poisons. Wasn't the Hyuuga studying medicine? Fudou was suddenly a lot more interested than before. Since Takami seemed to be working hard on his studies, though, Fudou decided to give him some silence.

Deciding he had rested enough, he leaned down again to work on the last knot. It really was tied tightly, just as expected. After a few moments of pulling at it with his nonexistent nails (he just had to go cut them this morning), Fudou gave up trying to do it without chakra. He made the hand seal and out the chakra came. Carefully, he guided it into the tiny spaces between the individual strands of rope before pushing the chakra out. This created enough slack for him to be able to pick the knot apart... and he was free!

Looking down at his book and reading intensely, the young Hyuuga jumped at noise behind him, almost as if Fudou had finally gotten out of the knots. The boy quickly turned around, seeing his friend stand behind him, the untied rope laying around the chair, he gave his friend a big smile. "Awesome! You did it!" he congratulated Fudou, and then turning back to his book wondering if Fuduo would leave now, hoping his aquatint wasn't just staying because he had to. The boy finished the last page of the book, and lay it down on it's front cover next to him, grabbing his notes scroll, the writting down almost the full length of this third sheet, and his pencil.

Seeing the pencil was dull, the boy threw his arms behind him and stood up in one fluid motion. He walked quickly to the other side of the classroom, and sharpened his pencil with the old fashioned sharpener on the wall, swiftly returning to where he was sitting before, his eyes looking at the floor the entire time he was walking back. The boy started with the notes, writing the ingredient of the many useful concoctions, some to use on himself or an ally, while others to use on an enemy. The boy quickly worked through the descriptions of the burn cream and painkiller stopping suddenly on the next one, 'Sedative and Truth Serum' knowing this might one day be useful, he made a small star next to the potion's description, 'Using ten portions of Corriander and a single portion of Valerian, substituting the Corriander for a single portion of Hemlock, the user can easily force the truth out of any enemy that is unlucky enough to take this potion. This potion may be taken orally, or by force through an injection.' The boy finished with the first of two books, and looked down at his lunch, and then at Fudou who stood behind him still, "Hey, Why don't you find a place outside for us to sit and finish our lunch?" He suggested, "I'll be out really soon, I just have one more book!"

Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

The smile Akeru cracked at Shironaegi's playful answer was uneasy, but the boy's reply was enough to placate the beginnings of more turbulent feelings. For now, at least. After all, it was useless to think too much on the matter, besides didn't he hear what he wanted to already? This child was not of that family, and from the joking manner Inechi-kun made of the situation, the boy seems to not have any relations from the Senju. Yes, he was being silly. Even he probably had more closely related kin in the imperial family.

There was absolutely no need to muse so about how strongly the blood of the Sage will manifest this generation.

He quietly returned Yae's greeting next.

"It's a pleasure also."

He wasn't particularly impressed by this child's manners, eating while talking, but he was not one to comment on such things. He was neither her brother nor her parent, such a task was the role of family, not an instructor's. Besides, he wasn't even an instructor yet.

Easily enough, he fell into an even quieter role, remaining attentive as the children talked to each other. As the new girl complained vibrantly about the Chuunin teacher, a steady frown touched his lips before deepening all the more he listened. Manners of that child aside, he was growing steadily concerned that his suspicions of Amaya-chan's story was actually right, and the latter had only been kind enough to defend the Chuunin instructor.

Perhaps he should have a good talk with this Ko-sensei.

The third time, Fudou was ready for Takami's barrage of niceness. He merely nodded and smirked. He had to say, he was pretty hungry, and he was about to leave Takami to just sit there and read his scrolls like he seemed to be so intent on doing. They were going to meet up after academy ended anyway, right? Before he could take the first step, though, Takami spoke and made his decision for him.

Fudou smirked harder. An idea had just occurred to him. "Sure thing," he said, picking up his lunch and utensils, and Takami's too. "I'll be waiting outside the academy doors. If you don't hurry up, I'll eat your lunch too." Without any more preamble he made his way out of the classroom with both bentos in hand. He had to place then on a windowledge momentarily so he could stretch his stiff muscles out again, but soon he was sitting on the academy steps, eating his lunch and watching the other students hang out near the throwing range. He could see from the characteristic colour that Shirogami was there, and the pink-haired girl too. If he squinted, those figures were probably that other girl, and Yae... and with them was a really tall guy who seemed to be teaching them. Another teacher, perhaps? Fudou was honestly too hungry to be any more curious at this point. This food tasted better than anything he'd ever had.

On such a fine day, it was a wonder why anyone would be in so ill a temper. After all, the sun was bright, the spring clouds kept the village from getting too suffocatingly hot, the birds were chirping delightful songs while nested comfortably in the boughs of flowers... The weather was top-notch beautiful, that was fine and all, but there was one tiny detail. Senju Harusame hated spring.

It wasn't because she was allergic to the flowers or anything, oh no no no. That would've been rather impossible, considering her family's specialty and if constant exposure had anything to do with preventing certain allergies. But whatever, she wasn't a doctor or anything, she'll leave that to the theorizing Eseinin of the Hospital.

It wasn't even because spring was the time when engagements are made, when lovely-dovely young couples exchange gifts after the especially difficult winter missions were over. Normally, that would irritate her to no end, but today she was completely unhappy for a very different reason.

She should've been happy. She should've been ecstatic. Today was the day the Substitute allowed her the one dream that overly protective head of family refused to let her (and his Sensei before him) when they held the position of Hokage. Naturally, with the Substitute finally allowing her to take a Genin squadron (provided they graduate the Academy first of course), she was quite eager to meet the children.

But that was odd. Why did the Hokage say the "second team"? Was she, the most respected Taijutsu master of Konoha, being delayed for an insect?

That had been the first strike.

The second unforgivable strike was thanks to the old geezers. They had insisted for her to dress up (provide a good first impression, they say) so that she does not permanently scar the minds of innocenct children showing off her toned muscles on the very first pre-meeting. So here she was, dressed in formal clan robes, and watched with annoyance as the Elder whom insisted on escorting her bade her good luck and rounded the corner.

Naturally, as soon as the Elder rounded the corner, the corner of her mouth twitched into a gruesome smile. She tore the cramped satin shoes off her feet, kicking them off over the entrance fence, and since the dress of the hanfu interfered too much with movement, she quickly set to work, ripping parts of it to shreds and tying the ends to make makeshift leggings.

And with that, she marched for the front doors.

The boy watched as his friend left, carrying both lunches, threatening to eat Taka's if he didn't hurry up. The young Hyuuga thought over it, remembering his friend's slim shape, almost like he didn't eat enough. Maybe he would take a while on purpose. The boy quickly grabbed the scrolls, and ran out the door, walking up the stairs to the third floor, the library, and returning the books he was finished with. He purposely looked through each of the book shelves to see what was in store, and found mostly scrolls on E-ranked Academy Jutsus, probably for makeup he thought to himself. The boy moved to the back left corner where the librarian had gotten the books for him before hand. Even though he had just returned them all, he carefully went through and picked out the scrolls with the other thin book, taking them over to his table to check out again for his friend. The boy sat down, the book he was reading opened, just next to the piles of scrolls and began to read, making sure to take a long time, in hopes his friend would start on the second lunch.

The boy quickly got distracted in the dead silence of the library thinking about the events of the day. Although his day started off not so good, for some reason he just seemed to not like the teacher, the boy was starting to get excited in the turn around of events, like meeting his new friend, and learning all these cool new skills! Quickly, the boy feel into a daydream, thinking about his life as a genin, finally doing missions, and bring home money, though the second part was just a bonus, and over all the boy could see himself as a teammate with Fudou, though the boy didn't seem as nice to others as he was to Taka. Quickly the boy got snapped back into reality, looking down at his book, he began to read about how to treat poisons, but again quickly got distracted by the rumbling in his stomach. He wondered what was for lunch, maybe ramen? Taka loved ramen like most boys his age, but then he remembered Fudou again, and how the young Hyuuga wanted him to eat his food. Or did he? The boy closed the boy, too distracted to read right now, and placed his head in arms, and closed his eyes for a minute.

Fudou figured it would probably be polite to at least pretend that he had tried to wait for Takami, so he put his lunch down for a moment. He'd polished off almost half of it in record time, so he needed to give it some time to settle anyway. When he looked around for the poisons scroll that Taka had thrown to him he realised that he'd forgotten to take it along. Facepalm... However, when looking around, he caught note of some movement at the end of the road. He couldn't see them very well, but two individuals were gliding over, one in very formal wear indeed. Fudou didn't think he even owned anything close to being that formal, or indeed that expensive-looking. Noble clan? Maybe.

Then, when the geezer left, the lady got to work. Fudou didn't get a clear view of what she was doing, but he saw the strips of fabric fly into the air every so often. Eventually, the lady that emerged was dressed in an obviously freshly made new outfit. Also, she was barefoot. Every step was sure and she moved with an obvious purpose. Even without seeing her abs of steel, Fudou knew this wasn't a woman to mess with. So he put his lunch aside properly and got up to approach her.

"Is there anything I can help you with?"

The boy looked down at his book, coping down numerous antidotes for numerous types of bites, slimes, poisons, and every other way that you could possibly get poisoned. He looked down at the newest entry, the golden frog's antidotes, and sighed. There were eight possible ways to get poisoned by this stupid frog, and every different way of course had to have an antidote. He wasn't even a quarter of the way done and already, he'd been working on this book the longest. "I know why they saved this damn thing for last." he grumbled to himself, being sure to warn his friend Fudou about the tedious details of this cursed scroll. Standing up to stretch his legs, and putting an old piece of cloth in page 13, of 62 none the less, the boy stood up and stretched his legs, again walking around the library, smiling meekly at the librarian as she passed him by. He quickly walked back to his seat and continued on the antidote section, getting more and more frustrated as he continued along in this book. This potion goes to this poison, or this animal has this kind of poison, but only in this part of its body, it's heart having a different kind of poison, and you can treat it this way, this way, or this way, but not this way in combination of this way, because that will cause immediate death. The boy felt like pulling his hair out. "I sure hope some on my team is good at this kind of stuff, because I look at this scroll, and I want to punch somebody," he thought to himself, quickly moving onto sea animals, which were gladly a little bit more simple that the rest of the poisons, but looking ahead, the boy saw that the herb section was still ahead, this one, even more tedious then the animals.

"Hm?"

Her foot paused on the first step, as she stopped long enough to register the one who was talking to her. After years of working on the field, she was rather accustomed to the distinctive signals of colleagues, all whom possessed a rather large amount of chakra. She almost forgot how cute and small the tiny chakra signals of children were!

Her face was delighted, that much was obvious. It gave a certain pretty light to her features, after all, minus the armor of muscles the Senju princess did inherit the clan's distinctive beauty.

"Oh! You must be a student here! Hello, hello... I am Senju Harusame."

She paused a little, wondering thoughtfully to herself what to do first.

"Manabu Ko...newly instated as instructor hunh..."

The look in her eyes darkened and she scowled.

She didn't want to see that annoying Chuunin this fast.

Just like that, the sweet smile was back.

"Will you be a darling and show me around? I would like to meet your classmates. After all..."

How straightforward, no veiling at all of what she wanted.

"For my adorable Genins... I desire only the strongest, most stubborn of survivors."

That tone carried danger and promise.

The boy started finished with the final scroll, and sealed it up. He looked down at the notes he took, five scrolls worth, almost half of what the actual learn consisted of, and then putting them in his left thigh pouch, grabbing the books and steadily walking over to the check out desk. "Uhm, hello," He smiled warmly, "I'd like to check these out.... again, Y'anno do more research and stuff." He didn't know what the policy on lending borrowed books was, and he wasn't hoping they would find out. She smiled at him oddly and handed him the checkout cards for the scrolls and books, putting them in his left thigh pouch, and quickly walking down the stairs, and passing the last person in the rope, seeing Fudou had forget the scroll he had given him, that was a simple enough mistake right? The boy walked in and grabbed the last scroll walking the second flight of stairs and down to the entrance. Taka sense someone knew, and stronger than anyone he's every meet, well besides the hokage himself, as well as a Senju. He could also tell Fudou was there too. The boy quickly approached her, setting down the scrolls along the way, and taking a deep bow to acknowledge her, as well as a slight bow to Fudou. "Hello, I am Takami Hyuuga," he knew not to ask for her name as it might be considered rude, clan speech was very tricky in both the Senju and Hyuuga household.

Truth be told, Fudou was a bit disappointed it wasn't something easy like directions or even something like "Where is your teacher?" Because then he would get brownie points with this Senju and also still not commit himself to anything too much! He also had to tell himself not to be too starstruck. Sure, she was a Senju, but they were shinobi! And he was one in training. He would probably be meeting lots of Senju. Though if they were all like her... his competition would be very fierce indeed...

She was pretty good to look at, though. Well, until a dark cloud passed over it and she mentioned his teacher's name. The storm quickly passed though, and it was almost like it had never happened. And then she talked about strength and survivors in a really creepy tone. What was that all about? Sure, Fudou liked strength, but...

He sent Harusame a small smile, making an effort to be friendly. "Sure. Most of the students are practising over there." He pointed at the target ranges. "There are a couple more students from my class still inside the academy. One's finishing up the Nawanuke exercise and another is reading up on some medicines."

That was when Takami appeared. He nodded at Takami and handed him his lunch. After Takami introduced himself, Fudou added, "My name is Fudou Akio. Where would you like to go, Senju-sama?"

Fudou Akio
