I don't speak much German...
You are from Berlin
-or-
You are not from Berlin
-or-
You are a dounut (Eddie Izzard humar)
-or-
You are not a dounut
It means "I am not from Berlin."
Ich bin nict ein Berliner. is I am not a jelly donut.
What makes it really sad it that it was a very stupid a** mistake to have made. For one, it's Berlin, not Berliner. So even if he used "nach" meaning "from a place" instead of "ein" which is an article describing the gender of a noun, he would have said that he was from a jelly donut.
How that mistake was made in the first place baffels me.

Berlin. How is it that I keep running into reminders of History class here? Because if you haven't guessed, we're studying WWII now, and at sometime today, in the midst of my teacher's lesson, I know she said Berlin.
It was still an interesting lesson though. What with the rumored Roosevelt conspiracy and the bomb on Hiroshima.

Oddly enough, Nagasaki got ******** over because our third target was covered in clouds... Because, you know, accuracy was very important.

Yes, Maru is currently a staffie, but I haven't seen him in a few days, so I don't know where he went... sad
Anyway, should we close staffie submissions while I'm gone, or does someone want to step up to the job? 3nodding Please let me know!

I think we have a good staff right now. I think with to many staffies this place would get a little crowded. I am still pretty new here though so it is just an opinion. I think that unless someone leaves and we need to fill the 'position' we should close staff applications.

Gypsy_Hart Speaking of work, is there anything I need to be doing right now? (Other than continualy adding to Writer's Aide) Nope, I think we are good! Thanks to everyone for their hard work. I'm going to go edit the draft again, and we should be ready for publication once BOI and FRU have been decided. whee

Jahoclave Serieve Berlin. How is it that I keep running into reminders of History class here? Oddly enough, Nagasaki got ******** over because our third target was covered in clouds... Because, you know, accuracy was very important. My teacher brought up the theory that Roosevelt knew Pearl Harbor was going to happen, and that he provoked the Japanese because he wanted to get into the war while still keeping the Americans who wanted to stay isolated happy. It seemed that an attack would be the only thing to rile us up enough to support joining the war. Then again, she also said the government had hints indicating 9/11 was going to happen too, but between all the other hints of threats, they couldn't tell it was real. We were a bit unprepared. *sigh* As for what we do now, we still have 3 days until publication. I suggest using it for editing and proofreading and suggestions. Are there any announcements we want to make to the audience? Something new we want to try while Alice is still around? What about our scavenger hunt, did you want to do that again Alice? I thought you'd mentioned it before. And Jaho's Project will be due next issue, if we want to keep the alternating trend up. That'll need some concentration later on. *cough* Alice won't be here for it.

It seemed that an attack would be the only thing to rile us up enough to support joining the war. Well he did goad the Japanese into it. After all, because of our blockades they were forced to take action to get the materials they needed. Then again, they did rape Nanking. Basically I give it a draw. Both sides were being dipshits. As far as actually knowing. We knew they were going to attack somewhere. The radar station ******** it up as well. And they all decided to just ignore Patton who had written a paper on the subject matter and actually pretty much predicted what actually happened to a T. Then again, Patton usually got things right. Quote: Then again, she also said the government had hints indicating 9/11 was going to happen too, but between all the other hints of threats, they couldn't tell it was real. We were a bit unprepared. *sigh* Also, we knew they wanted to attack us with airplanes. We didn't know how or where. We didn't even know they'd use them as missles. Quote: And Jaho's Project will be due next issue, if we want to keep the alternating trend up. That'll need some concentration later on. *cough* Alice won't be here for it. That's more of a thing that I'll be getting out of school at the end of May, so I figure I'll have the time to set it up for the June issue. It really isn't set in stone.
