Vanth herself was a bit of a mess. She'd been up for days getting her booth set up and checking in with a few others. Maybe the undead didn't need sleep, but she did. Overall she was a little rumpled and messy and didn't seem to notice.

He almost said 'you couldn't pay me enough.' Almost. There was a level of disgust which flickered through his metallic gaze as Rowly said it, and it had nothing to do with the thought of having a three-way with another man. What stopped him was the way he noticed Bella shivered, that same sort of shiver which was on par with his own disgust, not at all sexual but almost disdainful of the thought. He watched them for a second, his eyes narrowing a little to size up the were-penguin, wondering if he was possibly making fun of him, or if he was really being genuinely good-natured about it. His grin and playful little taunt left him thinking the latter. Relaxing a little as he contemplated, Cain almost still bowed out of the social interaction, really having little interest in 'hanging out' with the group which consisted of two females who did not like him at all, even if Rowly seemed to be decent enough, as far as non-demons went.
Except then Bella whispered something, something she probably didn't want the Baphomet to hear, the subtlest tones he could pick up sounding not-quite-pleased with the idea, and that was it.
"Perhaps I should," he replied with a slightly devious smile, his eyes flicking to Callie to give her a wink. Her look seemed to only amuse him, or perhaps encourage him, enough that as he approached the group, giving a little nod to each of its occupants (with the exception of Bella,) he offered Callie his arm in what was most definitely a flirtatious action only half disguised in courtesy.

The coo was more than enough to get Red up and out of her chair, hands slamming down against her booth hard enough to send her pins flying up to clash and jangle against each other before falling in a disorganized mess again. " No." Her pumpkin mask nearly crashed against Dis' face. "Straight. Up. No. Either we arm wrestle, or I'll call Pyre over to start a fire you can go die in." Her words were rushed, nearly tumbling over each other in an effort to get them out quickly.

What was turning everyone's heads back just as quickly was how Vanth was standing on top of her table with a ukelele-looking instrument and singing at the top of her voice about minipet rights. Most of the song was muffled by the pumpkin on her head. That was why she wore her comically large 'MINIPETS ARE FRIENDS, NOT FOOD' pin today.
The instrument rolled a few of its eyes, the rest of them giving pleading looks at the passerby to put it out of its misery.

Una Sullivan was sweating blood. Literally.
The Crom Cruach tried to stay attentive anyway, dressed sharply and surrounded by books, papers, charts, and photographs of the community service she'd done these years at Amityville. But was it enough? This was the big night, after all.

The key reason for her nervousness being that she was quite thoroughly singed. A fire had broken out while she was on her way to her booth. Fire resistant as she was, her clothing was not. Even her little red Defenders badge had been half-eaten by the flames.

Sophie wasn't all that interested in the ethics and hesitations behind the food and the company they keep, and so while they all had their little tiffs and ranted, the Mirror Ghost occupied herself by doing a little dance to the tune in her head. Most of it involved wriggling her hands in front of her, humming every now and then as if to make sense to what was going on. "Are you done now?" She inquired of the group, looking particularly bored. At least she had stopped dancing, her once wriggling hands now put firmly on her tiny waist. "We're graduating, can we like---just go get the jackdamned pizza and be happy we're finally going places?" They could screw each other's brains out after, this was the time to be celebrating!

But it was going well, all things considered. She had a carefully memorized demonstration that won people over where her somewhat charred appearance didn't. It was enough. The cards and brochures were beginning to stack up, and more importantly, they weren't from the janitors.

"Mmmmmm You know how cute you are when you get angry? Very." Purring, he sat himself down on the other side reaching out for her hand. "Call over Pyre if you want, she gets me hot already." He was apparently still going to challenge her to that arm wrestling match. "And you should know I'm always up for a three way."

As for Its outfit, Yari had dressed as It did every day. There was no reason to give an untrue first impression. Besides, what was the point when you always looked this fantastic in a robe?

Tarot huffed and stuck her tongue out at May. “Will not! Those are one of the things a twin just doesn’t do!” Then she paused. “Although, I really do hope he gets together with Selene and have lots of scarelings.” She smiled softly. “Then I would be an aunt.”
“It’s alright, Tex. You don’t have to get me cider if you can’t carry them all,” she reassured him. Tarot took the moment to curiously poke Matthew. “Matt, are you okay?” She searched for another chair and placed it beside Kani’s. “I’m afraid I didn’t, but it looks like cups won’t be too much of an issue.” She leaned over to garner a closer view of Tex and Malthor.

Yari spoke fairly slowly and with eloquent, overly-proper grammar. Sometimes people got annoyed, sometimes they saw the intelligence and demanity behind the proper facade... or maybe they just liked the way It moved its hands and gestured. Either way, It had collected quite a few cards, and while it had not done the best, what could be expected when you had no set goal in mind? It was lucky to have anything... bah, bad feelings!

But even if her booth didn't look the best, Octavia herself was in fine form. She had a sweater that was a jack-o-lantern itself, and her apron was black with a haphazard pattern of smaller jack-o-lanterns. A nice pumpkin plant green skirt broke up the colors again, and then there were her jack-o-lantern tights. And she was as peppy as ever despite her late start.
So calling out to passing potential customers? Worked perfectly. And she certainly looked the part of a dayscare worker that really cared about the scarelings.

Yari sat at Its booth, tapping its fingers and watching Its surroundings. It couldn't see much through Its drapes... ah, who cared? It stood, brushing Its robe down and beginning through the crowd... just a little. Maybe people would be attracted to it more as a person than as a booth. It wanted to see the competition, at the very least.

Telling scary stories to prove how well she could deal with children? They were chilling. Then of course, having the business ghoul and her son stop by and personally tell people about what she did went far. People walked away with her number in hand, and more than one stressed parent had the looks of relief.
Of course, there were those that just flat out walked away because they didn't have kids, but all and all she felt like a success. Maybe it was just her cobweb nails that had given her that special edge.
