Mort spun around to try and locate the canine, but it was a very slippery prey. His reaction times were slower than desired still, however, and the wolf remained elusive. The hunt was on.

And then the growling came. Ooooh, the growling. Mort was on edge, FEAR already gathered in his fist should the wolf have come nearer. But in this instance it did not, and the zomboil only caught the glimpse of a shadow before it disappeared into the brush.
No fight? Yay. No mount? FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUU-

From the antics of the past hour or two, Mort strangely drained. While by no means was he ready to quit the task, he did decide to take a break and leaned back against a giant tree, enjoying the shade while he could.

There had to be other things besides odd goats and foliage munching turtles on this island, Imryn muttered to herself while pushing through get another bunch of leafy bits. Though something felt a little... off... while wandering through this part of the jungle. As if she was being watched. Slowly, she began scanning the area, floating around in a circle until her eyes landed on a rather irritable looking wolf.
'Oh boy... this... well at least it looks more intimidating than a turtle or a tree goat.' She grimaced, gathering up what FEAR she could to attempt to tame the creature.

To win or not to win... Well that wasn't even a question. She needed to do this. Taking a deep breath and putting some of her fears behind her, Imryn stared down the wolf, who stared right back. It was doing a quite a good bit of growling and circling around her... but didn't seem to be as hostile as it was a moment before. Hey, it was a plus.

Whatever it was that she was doing, it seemed to be working. Trying her best to imitate the Horsewomen from earlier, using her FEAR to tame the beast, it eventually calmed and came over to her side. Honestly, this didn't seem all that hard to her.. though maybe it was finding a creature that was the hard part? Mea was happy to have filled up on a bountiful feast just moments before skipping off to class. The Puca had run off again, but she was sure to find him again and probably tempting some animal away and claiming it as his own. The rabbit contemplated which mount she would attempt, or even how comfortable she would be while riding on another animal. It was a strange concept, but when in War...
She giggled and bounced away happily to find some sort of animal she could mount and maybe even call friend. She shuddered slowly, what if she found something bigger and hungrier than her? If that was possible. Shrugging she sniffed along, picking up the scent of something...
It was something familiar like something she had probably eaten sometime in the past. Passing through some trees the Mouryou stopped and stared as fuzzy legs came down from a large tree and she stared into the face of the large beast, flicking her ears some. "I've eaten little things of you. But you're furry, like me." She said with a smile, reaching for a lasso on her hip.
"Let's be friends, huh?"

15 - As you come across a river, you see a small dragon lurking just beneath the surface.
Vaith fistbumped silently inside. He really couldn't have asked for a more perfect mount. Vaith started to strip himself of his yellow coat, realizing he wasn't going to get anywhere if he stayed on the shoreline. Time to step in .. He lowered his shoulders, as the cold feel of the water wrapping around his feet .. The vine rope hung in his hands, hanging it on a low-lying branch.
"Stealth. Always the way to go. Personally, I think you're perfect for me. Am I perfect for you, is the question I guess."

Vaith's Fear: (7 + 2) - 6 = 2 FEAR
Dragon's Fear: (4 + 2) - 6 = 0 FEAR
SUCCESS: ROUND ONE (WIN) + ROUND 2 (??) + ROUND 3 (??)
Vaith reached his hand into the water, his legs already partially in the river. He stayed silent for a bit, unmoving, as him and the dragon eyed each other.
Eventually, Vaith simply sat in the water for awhile. The dragon circled around him, not yet attacking. He did feel a brush of it's tail against his arm, raising an eyebrow. Stay will, Vaith, still.

A warm feeling erupted from her and she felt her FEAR seemingly go to work while she approached the large arachnid. Smiling, she could feel it go rigid as if on edge. "Shhh, I'm not going to eat you. Or hurt you at all. I promise." Falling on deaf ears, or did spiders have ears? Mea twitched in confusion and shook her head.
"Let's get this started." She said with a grin, moving to begin her attempt to subdue the creature. It seemed to be paying attention now, slowly moving near her with eight curious eyes looking her over. "There now, there." She said gently, putting out a hand towards it and placing a tentative hand on a large, fuzzy leg.
Shying away the tarantula scuttled gently from her touch, staring back at her suspiciously. "Don't be like that." Mea said, scrunching her face a bit before relaxing it. Her entire body seemed to relax all the same and she tilted her head towards it, holding out her hand again. "Let's try this again, you can trust me!" She nodded in agreement to her own words and grinned.
Things were going well so far.
Mea: 6 + 1 = 7 - 6 = 1
Tarantula: 1 + 2 = 3 - 6 = -3

Vaith's Fear: (5 + cool - 6 = 7

SUCCESS: ROUND ONE (WIN) + ROUND 2 (WIN) = SUCCESS
Vaith didn't think physical overpowering was the way to go either. He just couldn't fathom it, without scaring off the small dragon in the water. Especially, since this was it's element and Vaith wasn't sure if he could run into a dragon once more. This was going to be a pickle, Vaith thought, sitting in the water. He had stripped off some of his clothes on a rock, so he was basically only in black pants for now.
He put his hands on his ears, like adjusting a pair of headphones as he forced himself to concentrate on his fear. He tried to adjust it like he normally did, lacking the whole actual process of attacking. It was like holding a sword perfectly still, it was hard. Hold it but don't actually wield it. That was something along the lines of his train of thought, his eyebrows creasing even further.
He felt something hit his face.
Apparently, Vaith's expression was too tempting.
Way to bond, through faces. Vaith might have slapped the dragon back.

Allowing her FEAR to branch out again she stared it down with her bright pink eyes, a small grin coming to her lips while she remained perfectly still. Like in hunting prey all that could be required was patience. Mea was not particularly good at such things however, but the idea of letting down her gracious hosts was something she didn't want to consider.
Taking a step towards it she was staring it down still, eyes unmoving from her current engagement. Pressing forward with a few small steps she held out her hand again, reaching to it's head she gave it a pat, staring into it's large eyes. Already it seemed that it was fine with her presence and accepted that her FEAR had subdued it.
Mea: 5 + 3 = 8 - 6 = 2
Tarantula: 4 + 3 = 7 - 6 = 1

CAUGHT TARANTULA!
It was a sort of squeal that it made while Alamea gave it's head a slight scratch, which she assumed was a sound of happiness. After a moment it moved back, shaking it's body and moving around her body. "So we're friends then!" She shouted happily, twirling as it motioned around her. "I'd give you a name but we're only gonna be friends while we're here, so I'll just call you Tara for short, okay?"
She wasn't sure if the next sound was good or bad, but shrugged and moved to the side of it, placing a hand gently on the back of it's body. "Wanna show me around?" The rabbit smiled and the tarantula began to move, guiding her along.
