Shina looked up at the newcomer, before rising to greet them. "Yes, we are the caravan you heard about. I'm Shina Kiremono, the caravan leader. If you would like to join, we would be happy to have you." A red-clad arm swept to the side, gesturing to the large pot of oatmeal over the fire. "Would you care for breakfast?"

"Good!" His smile lit up briefly before it suddenly vanished as the girl had begun to speak, gesturing to the pot of oatmeal that was still over the fire. Should he be taking food from people he was just greeted by? That didn't seem like a wise move, but he enjoyed the friendly offering. He pulled his hood down, letting it fall over his back, "Thank you, but no thank you." He spoke gently, holding his hand out in front of him as if he, himself, were gesturing something but quickly putting it down.
"But, yes, that's why I came. See, I haven't been able to explore, and I've always wanted to. I'm also skilled as a healer, so I'd also be good help," His voice drifted off at the very final word, Charlie scratching to back of his head, ruffling his black hair a little bit just above his neck, "So, thanks for the... invitation?" His words seemed more like a question than actual speech.

Heal was putting his things away before he looked up curiously at hearing Shina greeting someone, finishing putting away the last item ball away, he went to see who the new addition was, catching up just the last sentences. "Its nice to see we have another healer..." He chuckled softly before turning towards Shina, handing her a small glass bottle. "Could you give this to Shikari? Its a calming oil my father gave me specially made for Electric types. I use it on Tripod when he is is having one of his panic attacks. Maybe it will help with Chiyo's catatonic state if she massages it into her furcoat."

"If you are sure, there is plenty for everyone," Shina said, before continuing. "We are headed towards the Great Lake now, before turning north. We plan to visit the Howling Forest, Motterossa, Xine's Peak, the Carona Coast, and Inhinx, along with a variety of other areas along the way. And of course, healers are always welcome."
Hearing Heal, Shina nodded and took the bottle. "Excuse me," she said to the newcomer. Stepping over to Shikari, she handed over the bottle with murmured instructions.
Before she returned to the gentlemen healers, Shina glanced over at the pot over the fire. Even with all that had been eaten, it was still close to two-thirds full. She...might have overestimated when she put the breakfast together. "Actually, I don't think we are going to be able to finish what we have cooked right now before we move on. Would either or both of you care to help make some of the oatmeal into trail bars?" Shina asked.

A smile lit up the male's face again as soon as he pulled the hood on his robe over his head. He glanced at the girl for a couple of seconds and turned towards the caravan. He eyes flickered back and forth steadily until she was done speaking, "Trail bars?" He questioned. What was a trail bar? To be honest, he'd never heard of them before. Unless... Oh, yes. That's what she meant. They were simple snacks, "Not sure how to make them. I could try, though." His voice sounded a bit wistful, "Anything for my new companions."
The grin he had briefly formed into a smirk before it faded away.

Heal looked at the left over oatmeal, that was quiet a lot more then they had needed. "Well...I never made trail bars without an oven, but i am willing to learn anything new.."

Shina smiled and went digging into her many items balls. "It's actually easier than it sounds, I do it a lot when I am on my own and have leftovers." From the item balls Shina produces a large mixing bowl and several heavy, lidded pans. One looks soot stained and well used, while the others are apparently brand new.
"You take the oatmeal, add a few more oats, a sweetener, I like crystallized honey, more fruit or nuts if you like, then pack the thickened batter into the pans. Then the pans go in the coals, and what comes out later is delicious trail bars!" Shina's hands were not idle as she spoke, scooping out a portion of oatmeal, adding oats, nuts and a golden granulated substance that was presumably crystallized honey.
"Could you two oil the pans for me?" Shina asked as she stirred the thick mixture, nodding her chin to the bottle of vegetable oil she had set out, along with two small flannels that were apparently just for greasing pans and the like. At home Shina would have used butter or some other grease, but out here she preferred vegetable oil for it's long shelf life and lack of need for refrigeration.

Shikari wasn't even paying attention to the conversation. She was completely absorbed in what she was doing, gently but firmly massaging the oil into Chiyo's still-dirty fur. Ugh, she thought. This is turning it into mud. After wiping off what oily mud she could without taking the oil completely off, she broke concentration for a moment to take in her surroundings. Were they ready to go? No, but - a brush against her hand made her jump hard. Wha- "Oh my gosh!" Chiyo had put her nose in Shikari's hand. It was only a small gesture by the amount of movement it took, but it spoke volumes. Now Shikari really did cry.

Noir was a hungry pokemon, and he had just come across a caravan, whatever they were, they had food. He leaped from his tree and glidded down other the grass before bounding toward the oatmeal and frankly just sticking his head in.

Shina looked down at her lap bemusedly. Well, the look was really more directed at the wild Emolga perched on the edge of the bowl, and a little on her leg, with his head in the batter. He was eating enthusiastically, and completely ignoring her. "Well, this batch is obviously not going to be a people batch now, so we'll cook it last. I'll add a bit of food-safe dye so we can tell the difference. We'll just let this little guy eat his fill, first. It isn't like we are short on food."

Heal finished oil another pan and raised an eyebrow when he heard Shina talking. Looking up, he spotted the wild pokemon going at the oatmeal. "Not feeding the wild life that you are not planning to capture is a very hard concept for you, isn't it?" He chuckled, smiling good humorously. "He is certainly rather bold at coming into such noise people filled place...Hopefully Team Rocket or pelt hunter doesn't get him one of these days."

"Oh, I do hope not, but I really shouldn't catch him, even if he does seem hungry and friendly. I already have an Emolga, after all," Shina said with a worried little moue. Honestly, she had expected the pokemon to at least startle a bit at her speaking, but he was just eating away with single minded determination. "Besides, I don't think shooing this one off would really work long term. I didn't toss him scraps, he clambered right into my lap to get to the food. There doesn't seem to be much, if any, fear of humans in him."

"Well, we could always have one of our pokemons use a low level attack on him to scared him off or wait until one of the emolgas owned by one of these trainers to chase him off. Specially the one that is building a nest, I don't see that one being too friendly towards a pokemon stranger around their territory." Heal didn't do much but observe when he was quiet, he was still getting used to meeting large groups of new people, so he tended to pick up on a lot that happen around him. "Perhaps someone else will see it and just capture it, I suppose its a bit early to say."

"The nesting one is my Tenka, another reason not to capture this one. I think I'm about to get a second Emolga no matter what I do," Shina admitted. "Tenka has been bringing Maya food, and cuddling with her, and fluffing his tail a lot. I think we can just leave this one be. As friendly as he is, he would make a good pokemon for someone, and there are lots of trainers in the group without their own pokemon," Shina suggested.

"Hmmm, is that so?" The dual-color haired healer gave a soft smile. "You might find yourself a pair of eggs soon. Arthmael was acting like that a little while ago as well...." He grabbed his backpack and pulled it closer, opening it just a bit for Shina to see a warmly wrapped up egg snugly resting there. Heal closed the backpack up when the ninetails started growling protectively. "Anyways....."
