After El Diablo Loco finished eating he walked out of the kitchen area and down one of the corridors leading, either, to the Bridge or to the deck- He forgets where it leads sometimes- just to see who else was awake besides the workers. Diablo looked around as he walked down the corridor, then made a small left and down another, maybe hoping to see a friendly face- Or Jak. While he walked, he tried to keep his boots quiet on the wood floor, then noticed that the wood looked a bit cleaner than usual. When he finally got to wherever he wanted to go, which turned out the corridor lead him to the deck, he could see some of the men finishing a couple things. He could also smell the new wood, the polish, and he could hear the sound of power drills being used. Along with hammers, and some of the workers talking. Meanwhile, Just down on the docks. . .Alberto adjusted his goggles as he watched his men finishing up the last few touches on the ship. Even though the ship was just about finished, his job still wasn't done. He still needed to finish his task in getting the shipment to Valua as quickly as possible, and he wanted to make sure it got there; Diablo then caught his eye, Alberto smiled and waved. He called out to him, "Hey, Loco!!" Diablo looked around for a moment, he finally saw Alberto and waved back, and then he began to make his way down to meet him. If Alberto could get Diablo to talk his captain into allowing him to tag along, it would make the job easier. . . Meanwhile, at a Bar in Valua; Time: 11:39am. . .Captain Escudero was twenty minutes early, because he wanted to have a moment or so to himself. As much as he was in a lot of pain he felt that he had to keep his composure, so as not to display any signs that he was indeed a mere mortal man in front of his men, and the Valuan people inside the Bar. His two best men were stationed just outside the bar to make sure at least some peace was kept. Escudero knew that the man he had sent for may be late, so he took his time with his morning tea and just relaxed. When he knew nobody was looking he popped a small pill and then washed it down with his tea. In a little while he would less pain than he was feeling now, "Commander. . . Once he gets here, I want this place cleared out and I want the employees to keep silent. . Pay them from my personal stash; That should keep their mouths shut. ." "Yes, my Lord."

Scott sat with Mandy and Iroquois on the bridge of the ship as the three cleaned weapons. Scott had just finished reassembling one of his revolvers as he sighed. "I'm getting restless, when is the orchid going to be finished?" he asked nobody in particular. "Patience love, tame your itchy trigger finger" said mandy, polishing her precious rapier. Scott frowned and began to load his ammo belt "I still don't know why we where attacked, this must mean that the new valuan empire has agents in the republic armada" he said as he holstered his pistols "At any length..." his pistol clicked, armed "I'm going to end him" he said.

Imogen strolled out of her room her cane on her shoulder as she walked. Her path was an easy one and memorizing such a path was simple. It would be one of the few times that she didn't look blind but rather normal. Other than the exception of the soft silky white fabric that hid her charred eyes, she looked normal.
The aroma of food had willed her out of her cabin and expected the chef from last time to be present. Only to hear the stillness of the galley along with the sizzling of meat did she conclude that she was alone.
"Not like I need the company to have a meal." Sitting down she took a plate of already prepared food.

El Diablo Loco made his way down to Alberto, he smiled and said to him in the language that they speak, "She is looking very beautiful. Thank you for taking the time to fix her. When would you like to have your payment?" Alberto put a smile on as well, but in all honesty he was feeling uneasy, "Any time that is best for you, just not too late." both Diablo and Alberto laughed, then Diablo said, "I can pay you now- Actually, from the way this is looking, I'm considering paying you a bit more. I had no idea you'd do such a good job on fixing her." Alberto's smile became a nervous one. As the two stayed out on the docks, standing in the cold air, Alberto was almost paranoid because noone had found out about the secret compartment on the ship. Diablo looked at Alberto, who now seemed to have something on his mind, "Hey. . What's the matter?" Alberto snapped out of it then he said, "Nothing!- Um, actually, there's something I would like to discuss with you. This isn't a very big thing, but. . It's something I'm going to have to do." Diablo was now a bit confused, he thought that if Alberto needed something he would tell him. He wasn't aware that he was having problems. "Well, 'Berto, what d'you need?" Alberto looked to Diablo, and he stayed quiet for a moment. He wasn't sure how he was going to get Diablo to allow him to tag along to Valua. .

Scott went to find Diablo to see if they where ready to ship off. He found the sailor talking to the man that had fixed up his ship. "Diablo! Are we ready to shove off?" he asked.

Just as El Diablo Loco was waiting for Alberto to say something, he heard Scott talking. Diablo replied, "In an hour- Maybe two. They're almost done with the repairs!" Then gave Scott a big and bright smile. Alberto cleared his throat then he asked Scott, "Sir, if I may, I would like for you to take me to Valua. I've got some important business to do there. This city isn't the only place I have buisness in, and in my line of work I have plenty that can't always make it to my side of the world. . So, if you don't mind, Hermano, may I hitch a ride from you?" Diablo looked over at Alberto, quite surprised, because Alberto almost sounded desperate. He had hoped Scott didn't notice it, but since Scott didn't know Alberto he thought the tone would go by unnoticed. "Well, Alberto, it depends on where you want to go- As long as it's not to Esparanza."

Sid took his time getting ready. He polished off the bottle of rum he kept under his bed and took his time arranging it in a trunk filled with other empty bottles like it. He was procrastinating. He wasn't afraid of the man who had summoned him, he simply despised being sent for like some common dog. Once he was sure he had taken enough time he picked out one of his many fancy feathered hats, put it on and locked his cabin door behind him. He called out to one of the crew who dropped what they where doing and marched over to him at once. "Make sure the woman stays on board. If she leaves the ship it'll be you who receives her punishment!" "Aye Captain!" the man said and marched off in the direction of Bethany's room. He set off in the direction of the bar already several minutes late. 'Let's see what Pes-square-don't has to say to me.'
Meanwhile back on board the orchid.....
Jak, who had gotten bored standing around watching the men working disappeared down to the kitchens in search of nourishment.

Captain Escudero took the last sip of his tea, he saw the man he had sent for walk in. Escudero made a simple hand gesture for Sid to come over to him, then ordered another cup of tea. He sat up straight, and said to Sid, "It doesn't surprise me that you're late. . just goes to show that people like you really have no respect. . ." once Escudero got his tea, he took a sip and then he said, "Anyway. . I will cut to the chase, because I am already getting bored with you," Escudero reached into his pocket and then threw onto the table a small sack full of gold. From his experience, men like Sid only pay attention when there's money involved "I want you to search for a ship called The Dark Orchid and bring me a bounty hunter named El Diablo Loco and the ship's Captain, Scott Spyre,. . . but if you can only bring me El Diablo Loco, that would be just as good. Either way, you will be rewarded." As Escudero sat there, staring at Sid, he remembered how much trouble El Diablo Loco caused not only the empire, but for himself as well. Diablo wasn't that well known, but he was known enough for Escudero. And if Sid agreed to the terms, he would soon get his revenge.

Imogen was still taking her time finishing off her meal, taking all the different nuances of flavors. It was a bit different then the meal she had yesterday but just as good. Each cook has there own ways of adding spices and how much of each. It was yet another way of telling their personality.
As she was almost done she caught a whiff of engine oil.
"Lucky for you Jak, someone already made breakfast."

In Valua...
Sid walks into the bar and takes his seat at the Captain's table. After hearing what the man had to say he picked up the small bag of gold and tossed it back and forth between his hands. "You choose to insult someone, quote unquote 'like me', and yet you come to me asking for my help. Then, you insult me again by offering such a small amount of gold." Sid laughs and tilts his head to the side so that it's dangerously close to touching his shoulder. A nasty smile appears on his face and he narrows his eyes at the Captain. "Insulting me twice in a place that I find comfort in is ill advised. Trice will cost you your tongue." He picked his head up and dropped the gold back on the table in front of him. "I have no desire to accept your offer, Escudero. This El Diablo Loco has done nothing to me and unless you have some further intensive, I have rum to drink and woman to fraternize with." With that Sid began to stand up.
Back on board the Orchid....
Jak smiled at Imogen even though she knew that the look out couldn't see it. "Great I'm starving! What's to eat?" she asked and walked over to inspect what had been cooked.

Scott adjusted his goggles and scratched his chin "I think that because of the smashing job you did on the orchid, I could take another sailor aboard" he said.

Escudero wasn't in any way amused, He gives ME the ultimatum?. . . I don't think so. . Escudero clenched his jaw. He was so tempted to show him where the door was, but he needed him. The Bounty hunter and his ship was off-limits now -said his commanding officer-, and he couldn't let the capture be traced back to him. So, Escudero looked into Sid's eyes, and intentionally lied, "More will be given to you once you accept this mission. . . If you don't like it, I can always have your girl get Diablo for me. . seeing as he can't resist a beautiful woman when he sees one." Escudero hoped that this would get Sid's attention and accept his mission, but in case it didn't Escudero sat back and said, ". . But, I would rather this just be a man's job. . . And besides, there's plenty in it for you. So. . . Are you interested now?" Meanwhile, back in The Lands of ice, on the docks. . . El Diablo Loco smiled when he heard Scott give his friend the approval to board. He turned to Alberto and he said, "Go grab your things, and I'll show you to your Guest Quarters when you come back!" Alberto smiled, and gave Scott a small bow, then said "Thank you- And thank you, Scott. It's appreciated!" Alberto walked away to go 'grab his things'. So far things were going EXACTLY the way they were supposed to be.

Sid rubbed his chin. 'My girl? I don't have a girl seeing as Bethany is paid for what she gives. Unless he means her and I don't see how he could. There's no telling where that gear head could be,' he thought. "Convincing her to go against me in anyway would be futile. I'll consider taking on this task but I'd like to know why you're so persistent and why catching this so called bounty hunter is so important." Sid remained standing. He mused over the possibility of getting out of the bar alive if he were to draw on Escudero.

Captain Escudero said, "That is my business. Not yours. Now d'you want the job, or not? Otherwise, I can just turn you in to the Local Authorities- Assaulting law enforcement is against the law still in many places." Escudero was merely lying, but he had hoped it was hint enough that he had influences all over, and all he had to do was say the word and Sid was a dead man.

"Meats drowning in spices mostly." Imogen took her last bite and sat the fork on the plate folding her arms she leaned forward and just sat.
