"Goodnight, Jarred." Roxanna said, giving a passing nod to Jarred as he stood up to head to his room. Her eyes, though, were focused more on Jeffery. They narrowed a slight bit. "I would think you'd be happy that we're all alive, Jeffery." She made a subtle move with her hand, wiping a drop of water away before it finished rolling down her cheek.

After a moment's silence she moved on to what was truly bothering her, "You shouldn't have killed Krieger. What he did to the student was wrong, but we could have used him. A life for a life isn't always the best option....and I believe you reacted too swiftly. We can't function as a team if you're going to shoot everyone who offends you without discussing it with the rest of us."

"Right." Jeffery nodded, sitting up to look at her, his eyes narrowed. "No, you're right. 'we could have used him'. Hey, you know what? I bet we could use Lincoln too!" He face-palmed himself. "Wait, that's right, he's a psycopath murderer who's tried to kill us!" He turned serious as he glared up at her. "Maybe you should think before you talk about things you know nothing of."

Roxanna flinched, "Lincoln made me a widow, Jeffery." She kept her ground, despite the massive height difference, her arms folding across her chest. "But if it would give us a good foothold, and save our lives, I would use him."

"If you recall, you're the odd man out here. You're the only one without powers. Perhaps it's you that is talking about things you know nothing of."

"I'd rather be good than have lucky genes. How much have you helped?" Jeffery stood up. "I'm sure I don't know what I'm talking about. Sitting in a bathtub all day? Must be hard." He glared down at her. "But you know what? You're right. Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Next time you can get told to play coward."

Jeffery moved past her, walking out the door.

"Ridiculous man." Roxanna said as she watched him disappear out the door. She turned to the bottle, giving herself her own shot. "We can do better without him." She took a quick drink, "No better than Kat on one of her tirades."

"Marcus, Rook, the rest of you, I'm heading to bed. It would be kind of you not to bother me further."

Marcus spoke up sharply as Jeffery walked past.
"Or, maybe we could calm down a moment and not let our emotions get the best of us," He stood, setting his teacup down, "Krieger was too unstable. He got mixed in with outhers and tried to drag us down, in addition to killing a child and leaving him in a closet. We could of used him, correct. But, the question is 'Was he worth the possible trouble?' What if he decided he wanted to eat Kat, or me, or even you?" He said, turning to Roxanna, "I agree that Jeffery acted on a hair trigger, but he acted right. And he hasn't exactly opened up shooting every time we've had a problem, either. This was a tough situation, you understand?"

Daryl yawned as they talked.
"Hey, you guys do your thing and bicker. I'm out." With that, he wandered off to bed.

Roxanna paused to glance back at Marcus, "he's gone, Marcus. He doesn't seem all that stable at the moment either. I'm not even sure why he was here, to be honest. And apparently, neither did he." She turned her head with a slight flick of long wet hair behind her. And headed to bed.

"Good night, Roxanna."

Tyson moved around the old man into the room full of books and his face seemed to lite up, though no smile was present. So many books. What would they need with this many? He pondered on the subject as he turned his physical attention to other things, namely the space on the floor. He didn't need two invitations to get the point of resting. In a cat like manner, he stretched himself before lazily meandering over to his designated spot. Without blankets or a pillow, he dropped to his knees and then stretched out over the rug.Rolling over to his back, he gave the old man a thumbs up, signifying his content. Tyson would have told the old man how grateful he that he was doing this for him, however he simply didn't have the strength to take the strain that came with talking.

Tyson curled up into a fetal position, his back to the door and waited for sleep to take him to the morning. He would sleep without the comfort of a makeshift bed for tonight and tomorrow night. For right now, he wanted to get the feel of the room. Literally. With every breath, the room's air stirred. It was weird to him. Unfamiliar. Being outside meant he wouldn't feel the sensation of the air responding directly to him. If this was the case, he had less control over his powers than he thought.

Slowly, but surely sleep took the boy. It would not be long before he woke up, early the next morning to train himself like he always did. For right now, he would rest.

Marcus finished his tea, before making his way to his room.

Rook, on the other hand, stayed sitting in the dining room, and when the morning came, they'd find him passed out there.

... We can do stuff now?

Cine-post

In the dead hours of the night Kat came out of her room looking tired but frazzled. Her strawberry-blond hair was slightly mussed, though she continually tried to straighten it with a restless hand as she made her way towards the kitchen to either cook to distract herself, or find that bottle Jarred and Jeffery had been nursing before they'd all headed to bed.

Sam was sitting in a lounge off from the hallway, relaxing in a nice chair with said bottle and a wide glass filled with scotch. "Yo, Kat." He called to her as she walked past the door. "Whatcha doin' up so late?"

Kat slowed her steps as she caught sight of Sam, a shiver running down her spine as memories of her dream ran through her head. She watched his face a moment, as if waiting for it to change, and when it didn't she started to breath again, a half amused smile crossing her lips. "Weird dream, and what the hell are you doing up right now, kid? And drinking?" She walked over to the wall next to him, leaning against it. "Let me see the bottle a moment. I could use a sip."

"Couldn't sleep, thought I'd go out to the main room and watch some TV, but the big one's snoozin out there, so I found this bottle and helped myself." He passed her the bottle. "You ain't gonna be all up on me 'bout underage drinkin'n s**t, are ya? Given the circumstances?"

Kat took the bottle a soft chuckle coming from her mouth before she took a small drink. "I can't guarantee I won't. I sometimes lecture people when I'm drunk." She enjoyed the rich burn before passing the bottle back to him, "Don't think me being drunk is a good idea though. I'd end up doing something impulsive, like hopping into some man's bed."

Sam chuckled, taking another drink. "Hell, I'm havin a hard time seein how that's supposed to be a bad thing." He leaned back in his chair, draining his glass. "Don't suppose I'm that lucky though. Don't know where the coach crashed, so you might have to knock on doors if you gonna take another hit of this."

"You're already doing one thing illegal, Sam, I'm not going to join in on the illegalities, sorry to disappoint." Kat closed her eyes a moment with a slight groan. "The coach...I kind of ruined that. Rather badly in fact. I shouldn't have kissed him, but I wanted to..and obviously it didn't end well. I doubt he'd be kinder than last time, finding me in his bed again, and last time he wasn't kind." Kat's left eye peeked open slightly, showing a bit of silver. "I had someone else in mind."

Sam smiled, nodding. "Kinda figured. How much time alone you two spent now? Surprised to hear you didn't come from his room just now." He took another drink. "So what're you waiting for? We could all be dead tomorrow. Seize the night or some s**t."

Kat's smile tightened as she let out a small chuckle, "Seize the night, hmm? I don't know a single thing that's going on in that man's head. You think it would be wise to just seize it as you so put?"

"Most people can't read other's minds, you'll get used to it." He shrugged. "It's yer call. Take another drink if you need the courage, but you might as well."

Kat held her hand out for the bottle taking another drink. "Do you know which room he's in?"

Sam chuckled. "Second door on yer left, girl. You can take the bottle if you think it'll help loosen him up."

Kat shook her head, handing the bottle back, "I'd rather he have his full senses. A man in control of his own mind is part of the appeal." She stood up and moved to the door giving it a soft knock

In the morning Kat quietly snuck out of the second door on the left. Her hair seemed mussed and she was wearing a t-shirt that was too large for her.

She made her way to the kitchen, rummaging through the cupboards before settling on making pancakes.

Rook stirred as she began to mess around in the kitchen.
"Morning." He muttered as he stood and stretched. He stepped into the kitchen, his facial features slowly pulling taut, his body having relaxed and let them distort while he slept, "Rough night?"

"Would have been better if it had been quieter, but, that's what I get, I suppose. So, aside from pancakes, what else do we have in store for the morning? Anything I should know about these sliders? Or, for that matter, why the Keepers have been so quiet?"
