Feeling she had practiced enough, Rille brought her flute slowly to her mouth and began to play. At first it was just a gentle, quiet run of notes, but it blossomed slowly into the tune on her sheet of music. The minor air, written for a violin, was tricky to play on her flute. She had to stop several times to change a note or remind herself of a fingering, but as she played the song over and over it slowly improved until she could play it all without stopping. She began to change the melody, adding new notes and rhythms, until it sounded nothing like the original. She stopped, letting the last notes hang in her ears. Then, putting down her flute, she smiled to herself. "Wouldn't Da be proud," she whispered. "If he heard that he'd let me come back on the road with him...and forget about this school...for sure." She stood, streching with a groan. She'd been sitting for far too long. Tucking the flute back into her bag, she left the room and set out at a slow run to strech her legs.

Natsuki finally stopped playing when she ran out of breath. She sighed and looked at the flute like she hadn't been playing. Still sitting with her back against the wall, she listened to other students play. Once again, she pulled the flute up to her mouth and began to play. This time, her playing was slow and flowed like a river. This melody had been a specialty for her, one that she had practiced for years. Closing her eyes, she played on, adding new notes to it every now and then.

Chrono looked around the auditorium "Wow... this place is big! So Eri, do you like to play any intruments?" He smiled at her softly, still admiring the building "I can play both the guitar and viola..." He said quietly. He looked at Eri then headed to look through some instruments, trying to find a guitar. "Wait a second...I wonder if..." He looked at his shadow, and tried to make a guitar, it finally came out "I knew it would work! THough it is a bit out of tune... heh" He said trying to tune the instrument

She shook her head."I have no talent.Instruments aren't my thing."she said.Eri watched him create a guitar from his shadow.She looked at it curiously."What does that thing do?"she asked.Eri didn't know much about musical instruments.Well she didn't know much about anything.Sometimes she felt like such a dunce in this strange world that wasn't her own.She poked the guitar a few times as if expecting it to move.

he stared at her for a second, then guessed ' Maybe her race doesnt play many instruments' he thought to himself, then he got ready to explain it "Umm...it well...makes music, well technically the player makes music, this makes sounds...when you move the string " He played all off the strings at once "It makes a sound...,want to listen to me play?" He smiled at her and he took a guitar pick out of his pocket and awaited her answer, smiling.

She squeeled happily and nodded."Yes! Yes! PLease show me!"she said.Her tail was wagging like a dog's.Her eyes seemed to shine with pure happiness.Eri giggled and bounced around from all the pent up energy.She just couldn't wait to hear the strange melody that the guitar made.Her ears twitched and her eyes widened."Come on!Come on! Play!"she said quickly.

"Woah okay, calm down miss enthusiasm, hehe..." He giggled a bit and began tuning it "I just need to tune it hold on " he smiled at her then started to tune it, he then tried to think of a song to play... "Hmm... I have an idea" he began to play an arabic sounding song on it, it sounded a bit mystical. He loved playing songs like this.

Eri let the music enter her ears and flow through her.She felt as if each note was driving itself deep in her soul.Before she could think,Eri began to move.As Chrono played she began to dance.Each movement she made flowed with the music.It was like her and the meoldy were as one.'This is much better than hummimg to myself.'she thought as she danced.

"Hmm you are pretty good..."he smiled and began to play a soft serenad elike song "This one is a bit slower" He smiled "I think we found your hidden talent... you can dance... speaking oof dances... I heard there is a masquerade ball, umm... would you go with me?" He continued playing, hoping she would say yes.

She blushed when he complimented her dancing.When the song changed so did her movements.She slowed down some but kept up with the melody.That's when Chrono asked her about a ball.He wanted her to go with him.Eri stopped dead."A.....A dance?"she said.She had started to stutter."I...I dont k...know if I could. I mean...a dance?"She looked down at the ground and started pull on her hair."Ummm...Why would you want to go to a balll...with me?"she asked him.

Shino and ieno had entered the auditorium looking for zephel but had found no luck.Instead they found the music auditorium."sweet, shino you know what we finally found it's to bad zephel ain't here oh well."Ieno looked around the auditoruim like a little boy in toy store.
"Ieno calm down at least we found this but not zephel.He looked at the amps for the guitar and he gave them a look that he was intersted in them."Uh i guess it wouldn't hurt to stay a while, and ieno i think you should cheack out these amps."He walked up to them and hooked up his guitar to it."cool"He started playing devils dance floor on it.
"sweet!!"He ran up to them and hooked up his bass to it and started playing with his brother devils dance floor.He looked to the side to see a girl danceing.

He stopped playing "Because...your so beautiful and nice...and I r-really like you..." He blushed a bit, then he looked at the ground too "I-if you dont want to go with me I understand..." a tear dropped onto the ground, he didnt know why he was a bit sad... maybe because he thought she would say no, or he was just really nervous

She blushed.The feelings she had felt before were coming back."No, it's not that Idon't wanna go with you.It's just...I've never felt the way I do now before.You make me feel so many strange things.Not bad things either.You compliment me and treat me like I'm some kind of precious jewel.I don't deserve that.I don't deserve love."she said sadly.Eri turned away from him to hide the tears that were forming in her eyes.
