Haucon felt Aidan's hand on his arm and turned partway back to see her face and hear her. He nodded to accept the proposed course of action and began to follow skeleton, falling even with Aidan. "Weird morning." he said quietly to himself. "Almost makes me wonder, no, hope that I"m dreaming." he added shaking his head a little as the skeleton lead them toward North Gate.

Raitishi
Finding a lack of comfort in the empty streets of Chronopolis, Felecia headed toward the Inn that Shane had mentioned. While she walked through the streets she felt as if it'd be the last time she'd ever see them though she blew them off as hysterical thinking...
Standing outside of the Bar, she inspected it and walked in cautiously still not trusting anything from what had just happened

Shizuru and the detective were still in the tavern bar/inn that Shane owned. "Seriously..." The skeleton looked like it was still crawling around. "Hi, young lady," the doctor said to Felecia. "You shouldn't be wandering the streets now."

Aidan Vale The Apothecary

Aidan laughed lightly, and nodded. "There are certainly a few things I'd like to forget about..." She looked back over her shoulder at the blackened remains of her shop, and frowned. In all the excitement of this morning, she had nearly forgotten that only a few hours ago, she had fallen off a ladder, cut her lip, and injured a customer. "It certainly is turning out to be a banner day..." As she spoke, the sarcasm in her voice was practically tangible. Returning her attention to their skeleton guide, Aidan hoped bitterly that the events of this morning were not indicative of the rest of her day. Judging by her current situation, however, Aidan found it unlikely.

As Shane spoke with Lyris, he noticed the skeleton point to his badge and shrug its shoulders, then point to the North Gate. "Hmm.. I don't like the feeling of this, but I guess we should..." he was stopped as the skeleton started walking and the man and his elf-friend followed it. Raising an eyebrow, Shane stood up and started following as well, but turned his head back and asked, "Coming, Lyris?"

Lyris was leaning back, arms crossed, trying to catch the attention of the elf-girl who had appeared when Shane knocked him out of his concentration.
"Coming, Lyris?" Lyris leaned forward, noticing that the other two had already started with the skeleton. Lyris sheathed his swords and shrugged, "Suppose so." He started forth, but not out of interest for the skeleton. He was interested in something else. His job. He had a slight suspicion that this was the work of demons, and spoke his suspicions to Shane and Shane alone.

(You remember Lyris is a demon hunter, correct?)

((Yes, I remember. Let's see if he's right.))

The Northern Cemetary by the castle was a gated region with many headstones of various shapes and sizes. While the piratey skeleton paid no need to the burial grounds as it walked through, leading the others, the others may have found it strange that there were a few freshly earthed graves. Holes in the ground that should have been covered. One even had an open coffin in plain view. Another one, if one looked closely seemed to have collapsed and go deeper underground...

((By the way, you can manipulate that thing at the East Gate if you'd like since you introduced it to the role play.

Ah, I forgot to mention this earlier. If anyone has issues with Adam cursing so much, I can tone it down.))

Articx-Frost
Shravra the metalsmith
You're the one that should know.

It took them longer to reach the South gate that it should have. Every time they crossed the paths of anyone, Shravra had to either hide the skeleton or endure screams of confusion. More often than not, people would look around for guards to call for help. Eventually he reached the gate to the sight of the infantry section of the military defending it. "Shrava, what the hell is going on?" Locating the voice as belonging to Captain Adam, Shravra merely shrugged. ”Captain. If I knew what was going on, I would be in my shop trying to fix it up right now. As it is, I've been following this skeleton from the middle of town to here. I'm not sure if it's on our side or not though.”

Adam stared down at the elf with hard eyes. You mean this damn punk's just been following that thing around?!! he thought. "Goddamnit. We don't have time for this s**t. Men, ready the door and get that thing out of here!" Better the skeleton outside than inside.. though it was intersting that the skeleton that was with Shrava had not attacked anyone and was making its way to the gate.

Some of the men shied away from the skeleton as it approached. Who could blame them? It wasn't an everyday sight, and it defied logic.

The skeleton looked back at Shravra again and nodded at the sword and pointed at the gate.

"Err... i wasn't expecting anyone to be here but oh well..." She said as she sit down at the nearest table.
She organized her things and placed them on the table after she grabbed her book and began reading from where she left off...

Ian the Archer
I think it's angry...

Following Kira's orders, the crowd surrounding her scattered as the fire sprung to life in her hands. A simple fire ball, that was all she had called up. Faintly in his own guttural language, Ian cast a supporting spell of accuracy and damage over the fireball, intending to help out without being seen to. The actual effect of the combined spells caused the fireball to speed up and grow in size, before decreasing again as it compacted, making it denser and more solid. The troll however still seen it coming. Rather than moving to cut it out the sky as it had done with the arrows, it lifted up one of the soldiers on it's own side as a shield, which disintegrated with the power of the flames. In response to the magical attack, the troll let loose a roar that deafened the soldiers immediately around it, and sent the horses into a panicked frenzy. The riders would be able to regain control, but that would take time to calm the horses down again. The enemy, spotting an opportunity, gave another battle cry and charged once more.

Shravra the metalsmith
I'm going to go with my gut feeling.

"Goddammit. We don't have time for this s**t. Men, ready the door and get that thing out of here!" Outside the gates? What's outside the gates? Something dangerous? Rushing to a small view point set into one of the walls, Shravra found that their was a hoard of soldiers in strange garb, with a different skeleton terrorizing the front few rows. That was enough to clear any doubts in his mind. Stopping the skeleton as it reached the gate exit, he bowed in respect of what the elven bones were about to do, presenting his sword at the same time. ”Captain, I'm going to hope you trust me on this one. I don't think that these skeletons are out enemies. This one has came from the other side of town and has done nothing dangerous at all. It wanted to come here for a reason, and I think that reason is to help defeat the enemy outside the gates.” Lifting his head again, Shravra watched as the skeleton moved out the gates and towards the soldiers with what he would believe to be a determined walk. I just hope I'm right with this one...

((Felecia, Shizuru, and the investigator, and...Isabelle maybe))

The investigator had still been in disbelief at the skeleton and although he thought he was hallucinating, an after effect of Adam's punch. But clearly he wasn't hallucinating. The bartender had leapt out the door, and the doctor had stared out the window, and the investigator had caught glimpses of the skeleton and heard the comments from the doctor.

The new girl that entered the tavern inn was probably the one that Shizuru had yelled at earlier.

The investigator stood up and sighed as he watched Felecia sit down and read. "I'm sorry, doctor. Thank you for your help. I think I'd better get going now to town hall." The two ladies were welcome to join him if they wanted to. "It might be safer there."

But on the way, they would pass Isabelle, who was ironically on an assassination mission targeting the investigator.

-----
((Added note for Haucon, Aidan, Lyris, Shane. I confused my gates.

North = Allen
South = Adam, Shrava
East = Kira, Ian
West = ocean + Kevin))

While the skeleton seemed to be heading for North Gate, EastGate was also on that route if they took a turn in the cemetery, which the skeleton would be doing.

((Edit: I finally updated the summary.))

Shizuru frowned. "You sure you're ok?" The investigator was her patient, and she wasn't going to let him go unless he was fine. As for the girl that had just sat down and started reading, Shizuru blinked. The same timid girl she had yelled at earlier to get away. "Well, you seem calm," she said flatly.

"Let's go to the town hall. Maybe they can tell us what the hell is going on, and why we're all hallucinating and seeing skeletons!" she grabbed Felecia's shoulder. "Come on."

Shizuru still didn't believe in magic, but skeleton's walking didn't make sense unless it was a puppet being moved by strings from a distance. A very convincing puppet.

((South Gate))

Once the skeleton was out the gate, the Chronopolitan soldiers once again sealed the gate and barricaded.

Adam looked at Shrava and then back at the archers next to him. "You, tell me what those two things are doing. Watch them." They nodded, and the captain headed down the stairs to arrive next to the metalsmith. He sighed."I don't know, Shrava. We already got one of them things out there, and it attacked me. Almost killed me too," the captain grumbled. "How could this one be different?" Adam wasn't magically inclined, so he naturally would view all the skeletons as enemies based on his previous experience.

"Captain, they're both attacking the enemy!"

"Well, that's good. There's no one else for them to attack out there after all," Adam declared. He touched his chin. Sh*t... no telling what they'lll do when there's no enemy. Still no message from the other capts yet. "Who the f is attacking us anyway?" Unlike the utterance of Eurosia at the East Gate, there was no sign of that at the South Gate.

Shravra the metalsmith
That makes more sense.

The other skeleton would make things more difficult to explain as he didn't know that ones intentions. Not that he knew the others intentions either, but he could guess on that case. ”I'm not sure about the one that was already here, but I don't think that the one I followed isn't out enemy. It had every chance to attack the city on the way over, yet it didn't. Instead it goes out and attacks out enemies. That sounds like an ally to me.” Shravra paused to think about the other one. There was something that didn't fit in what the captain had told him. And then it hit him. ”Captain. You said that the skeleton attacked you. That doesn't sound quite right. Did you perhaps attack it first, thus provoking it to protect itself?” That would make more sense from the magic hating captain.

She was still attempting to read the book when she grabbed her shoulder though she still tagged along (with the book).

"I wonder if these skeletons are real... that man from before defeated one... so....hmm"

((Postie post. Just so you all know, I'm in the last three weeks of classes leading up to finals. I have several papers of unholy length to contend with so I may be touch and go. Feel free to ghost me along and I'll catch up as soon as I can. 3nodding ))

Haucon wished there were something he could do to comfort Aidan a little because honestly, compared to her, his day was a picnic. He pat her on the shoulder somewhat awkwardly and perhaps a little too hard, like he would to a reassure one of his equine companions. "Well, it can't get much worse, right? I mean, we're literally following death right now..." he said with a sort of laugh.

They followed the road and he and Aidan started to catch up to Shane and Lyris. Haucon nodded to the barkeeper, but still couldn't remember his name. Before long the cemetery came into view and a shudder ran through Haucon's body involuntarily. There, where there should have been a peaceful graveyard with tasteful headstones, there were many open graves. He knew without having to look that they were empty, their previous occupants having climbed out with the same phenomenon that brought their guide to them.
