Sigh* It was a sad thing to see a Maiko of the Okiya say good-bye to us this morning but it was her decision.Seikeida had just finished the tour and had brought Raina back to her room. Seikeida told her to do what is asked of her becouse she was a maid and ran to the kitchen to fix brunch which consisted of Jasmine tea, Crumpets, A bit of bread, and a taste of Seikeida's famous rice cakes.
When she had left brunch on the table she went back to her room to fix her appearance. She took her long hair down, brushed it, and put it up in bao ponytails of course she also put in her treasured pin. Then she did her make-up and purfume. Then she changed from her ragged dress to a pleasent white skirt she had just recently bought before she came into the okiya to celebrate.

 Mahou went back to her room and took out a small wooden box from her belongings. Her father had made it for her when she was younger and she often took it out as a reminder of home and to comfort her when she worried about what was to come. She went outside and started doing her daily chores, beginning with scrubbing the floors and dusting. It was hard work, and at certain points, her mind glazed over the thought of stopping and simply leaving, but that was certainly out of the question if she was to accomplish her goals. No, she wouldn't tolerate her own laziness. When she was finished with this, she stood and watched the maiko and giesha come and go, waiting to be called on for help. Post 3

Iyasu kindly smiled to Sadayakko, "It is very nice to meet you, Sadayakko. I'm Iyasu. If you have time, would you please get me a cup of tea and a small bowl of rice?"
She tried to showed the maids kindness whenever she could, and also call upon them as well . . . that if she could keep up with all of the ever growing population.
"I'll be in the tea room," She continued, "Thank you for your time."

Sadayakko found herself smiling in return at Iyasu. "Of course, Iyasu-san. I would be honoured to serve you."
She quickly dismissed herself and began preparing both the rice and the tea. While the tea water was boiling and the rice cooking, Sadayakko began arranging a tray to bring to Iyasu, carefully matching the tray, china, and even the chopsticks. By presenting everything carefully and artfully, she hoped to make a good impression on both geisha and maiko, and especially upon okaa-san.
Soon, the tea was steeping in a delicate teapot and the rice was faintly steaming from a bowl on the tray. Quickly, Sadayakko carried the tray to the tearoom and arranged a place setting before Iyasu. She finished by pouring the maiko a steaming cup of tea. "Is there anything else you would ask of me?" Sadayakko asked quietly with a slight bow.

Touitsu got up the next morning.She got dressed in her worn dress. She then put up her hair.She exited the room to smell lovely smells. She grabbed a bucket and brush and started by scrubbing the floors.After she was done scrubbing the floors. It was late morning by then so she entered the kitchen.

After finishing all her work, Mahou was very hungry. She went into the kitchen to get herself some food, and she served herself a small meal, nothing too grand. She left immediately after eating and retreated to the maids' quarters where she sat down to rest. Exhausted, she felt she needed to draw something in order to relax. She took out a scrap of paper and began to draw, but to her dismay, it did not turn out at all like she had wanted. Mahou tore the paper in frustration, and lay down, tucking the ripped pieces into her pocket, and eventually falling asleep. Post 4

"Oh my, Sadayakko!" Iy-chan said as she gazed upon the arrangment for her small meal. "Thank you very much for this lovely visual." The maiko gave the maid a little bow as a thanks. She looked over the picture before and laughed, "It almost looks too pretty eat!"
She smiled to Sadayakko again before she touched her artistic meal, "I have two more things to ask of you, if you would not mind."

Yokome sat with the other maiko for tea. The other maiko wasn't saying much so she just sat there.

"I hardly go anywhere..except classes." Kikaru fingered the teacup and glanced to the other maiko. "..it's hard for me, since I don't know many others." She shook her head slightly and lifted the teacup to her lips, taking another sip. "I need to be more social."

Yokome nodded her head at the other maiko. 'I spend a lot of time in classes too. I also go to the salon in the geisha quarters a lot to and socialize with the geisha there also. I am always here in case you ever want to talk. So, do you have an older sister yet? I have yet to find one.' Yokome let out a sigh.

Seikeida went over to where she left brunch and saw the maikos eating and chatting. "How is the tea and food?" Seikeida asked politely as she bowed and trying not to sound like she was intruding into the conversation.

She took a sip of her tea and looked over to the two other maiko in the room. She was about to introduce herself to them, but the maid had asked a question, "How is the tea and food?"
She put her tea down and nodded, "The tea is delicious. I haven't tried the food yet though. Thank you for asking." Her eyes glanced over Sadayakko before they rested upon the other maid. "What is your name?"
Iyasu was doing her best to learn all of the names of the maids, but she felt she never would.

The maid basked in the compliment and smiled at Iyasu. It was so wonderful to be amongst such gracious and kind maiko. She hoped that she too would soon be among their ranks, and that the day she did become a maiko she would remember what it was like to be a maid and treat them kindly.
Patiently, Sadayakko waited until Iyasu was finished speaking to the other maid before she spoke again. "Iyasu-san; you mentioned two other tasks you would wish of me?"

"Thank You. It is always nice to hear that your cooking is satisfactory. As for your question my name is Seikeida, Seikeida Ai." She said with a bit of a bow to the maiko speaking to her.
