Kanis looked down and blushed, "I am sorry sir....I should not have prevented you from doing your job." she leaned away from him trying to get out of his arms so she would not hinter him any more. He was right just the simple movement started pain to flow threw her leg again.
"I don't want to waste any more of your time sir. What ever will be quickest....if it would be easier for you to just wrap it now...I can take it." she said softly trying to be brave and trying not to let him know the draught was wearing off.
She was so stupid. She should not have broken down then she really was a burden. Maybe she should just stay home with her mom...

Corrah frowned softly and helped Kanis back to the blankets.
"You are not preventing me from doing my job," he told her softly. "Taking care of you is my job. Your brother was stopping me ... he was holding all of us back. It will not happen again."
He put one hand on her shoulder and helped her to lie down again.
"Now lie still, I'll make you another draught," he murmured. "And then some food ... it will give you strength, and distract you a bit from the wrapping."
And he reached for the vial of white powder once more.

Kanis lay back willingly. She smiled at Corrah very thankful for him and it showed in her eyes. At lwast for this moment her emotions for hiim shown deep down, letting him know how deep her trust and care for him was.
"T..thank you sir..." She did not move at all just allowed her eyes to move and watch him move. She was always fascinated by his movements and she wondered why he seemed just a nervous or embarrassed.
"Sir as soon as I can walk...or um...hobble...if it would be easier I will return to my sister cave so I wont be invading your privacy again.

Corrah chuckled softly as he mixed her draught again.
"Actually," he smiled warmly at her, holding out the cup for her to take, "it would be much easier for you to simply stay here while you're recovering. Truly - we are currently residing on the top of a mountain, with no shelter, no walls, nothing. Privacy is far from the top of our list of concerns."
Though he thought it was very thoughtful of her to think so.
"Drink up," he smiled softly, nodding encouragingly.

Kanis reached out to take the cup and she drank it down quickly. She flushed and nods, she did not even think about how they had no walls or anything else. She was not looking at what would be easier for her but only what would be easier for Armus and Corrah.
"Show I take off my pants sir?" She asked knowing it might be easier for him to wrap it up. And though she was forming a crush on Corrah unlike her siblings she still did not think of anything physical and besides she knew no one would want her undeveloped body.

"That would be best," Corrah nodded, taking the cup back from her and setting it aside again. "And I'm not sure, but I think that you may have to keep a blanket on until you are healed ... I don't know if Armus could make you any pants that would fit over a splint ... though if that makes you uncomfortable, I could simply cut off the pant leg that is already ruined," he added. "You would still be at least mostly dressed then."
Not that her clothes covered very much of her in the first place.

Kanis and started to unbuckle the pants but then looking at her leg she stopped and nodded her head. "Maybe cutting it would be best." she said. Not that she was embarrassed of Corrah seeing her without pants. She didn't even know what sex or anything like it was. She would just do what she would need to to just get better.
She really wanted to know what was bothering her trainer. Something was on his mind. And she wished she could help him. "My mom or Armus will make me some more pants." She smiled at him trying to relax him.

Corrah smiled back at Kanis. "I'm sure they will," he said softly.
He turned his back to her to take a knife from the brace of daggers he'd been bringing to the children earlier that day, but when he went to take one he noticed ... one of them was missing. He closed his eyes and slowly let out his breath. Where had the other one gone? He would as Armus when she returned again. Perhaps she had taken it for some reason.
He calmed himself down and turned back to Kanis. "I apologize if I hurt you," he murmured softly, his mind distracted now as he began to cut away the pant leg of her broken leg.

Kanis didn't know what had happen but she could see a change in Corrah's face. His look became serious and emotionless again. She just looked away form his face and conctrated on a tree.
Even if he did hurt her she would try not to show it. In fact she was determined not to show it. He hardly showed emotion, and she already made a fool of herself by crying in his arms. She would not make the same mistake again.
This was her first test at stealing her heart and mind. She set her jaw as he started to cut away her pant leg, and she waited for the new batch of draugh to kick in.

Corrah felt guilty as Kanis turned away. It seemed that she was able to read his face like a book ... had he made her think that it was her fault he was upset now? But how could he explain to her that he had made yet another error? His pride fought with his guilt endlessly, and several times he opened his mouth to speak, but said nothing.
Finally, the pant leg was cut away, and he set it to one side before cutting away the rough splint he had put together down on the mountainside. He did his best not to make any sudden or strong movements ... Kanis was in enough pain as it was, without him adding to it.
"Do you remember," he said finally, his eyes focused on her leg, "when I came down and got you ... I had ... a brace of knives with me ... do you remember what I did with them?"
He couldn't figure it out ... had he simply dropped one? Or was it something more, had one of them been stolen? If so, by whom? Ruran was the first one who came to mind ...

Kanis' hands balled into fists, even though Corrah was being careful and gentle. She was still a child and it hurt, the new drugs had not kicked in yet. She did not see Corrah's attempts to talk.
But when he finally did she just shook her head and kept looking away. "Sorry....no" She had not seen anything at the time but Armus as the woman kept keeping her from curling up around her leg. She wondered what it was that was troubling Corrah surely it could not just be the knives.
Even with the quick realignment and amount os swelling it was clear to see the large lump in Kanis' leg where the break was. And when the break was felt small slivers of bone would move just under the skin. It seemed the break was not a clean one.
She watched a small bug crawling on the three trunk. She knew she should not try to figure out Corrah....it was just his job to figure her and her siblings out.

Corrah winced when he saw how bad Kanis's leg was broken, and he sighed softly. He was going to have to wait until the drug took effect once more ... though there was every possibility that he would also have to put Kanis to sleep so that she wouldn't feel anything at all.
"It's all right," he murmured, referring to the knives. "I'll ask Armus to look for it later then ... one of them is gone, that's all."
He looked at her, his eyes troubled. "Do you want me to wait until the drug starts to work, or would you like to be asleep when I set your leg properly?" he asked her softly. "I cannot promise that it will not hurt ... but the drug will help."

Kanis turned then too look at Corrah and then her leg and she gasped. "I...I didn't know it was so bad..." she bit her lip then looked up. "Well sir...I will do what ever is best...time isn't really a improtant factor so...I guess it would be easier if I could not move at all for you...so maybe the sleeping would be for the best." She said.
She sat up a bit and looked at her leg. She wondered if the black and blue would remain there all her life.

Corrah nodded. "It might be best that way," he agreed softly, "if only so that it goes faster for you."
He reached for his bag once more. "I can give you some leaves to chew on," he told her, rummaging through it, "or I can give you another drink ... it is up to you, whichever you would prefer. They are equally as potent."
He smiled faintly. "Though if I may recommend the leaves, they taste a little minty, as opposed to the drink, which is a little bitter."

Kanis nods, "Then I will go with the leaves sir." she held out her hand for the leaves. "I am sorry for the trouble again sir." She looked down at her leg and smiled. "I guess I know to be more aware of my legs." she said and laughed softly.
Once given the leaves she started to chew on it and then "I...I hope you find your blade sir." She said and lay back chewing and drinking the juice her eyes growing heavy and she was out rather quickly.
