Mel wordlessly grabbed her brother's hand and started following Varnis and Artica down the tunnel, trying to ignore the feeling that Lex's eyes were boring into the back of her head.

Varnis had noticed that everyone was following him, as he walked down the hall way. He stopped as he came across an another hidden opening in the wall. He looked into it, and saw that cause of the noise. "Goblins..." He said quietly, as he backed up some. "They are sharpening their crude swords. There are at least three of them in there..." He said as he walked back a little, kicking a rock by accident.

Yes... Should I go check it out?"
"No! Send a bat to them."
The three goblins where talking amongst them selves, as they sent out a bat.

Mel quickly aimed her bow at the Dire Rat and fired off an arrow. "Hey Varnis, you don't do very well with rocks, do you?" she whispered, not really sure why she was being quiet.

Ahren snapped into attention as the bat fluttered above them, the rat scurrying towards their group. She held her staff raised, ready to attack. Her face was tight with concentration. Hazel eyes glanced between the two monsters, glaring under dark brows.
"I always said I don't need to look for trouble," she sighed. "It chases me whereever I go."

Ahren's lips parted, baring her teeth like a doubled strand of pearls. She stepped forward, her staff swinging end over end. Her muscles clenched, though her speed and ease turned the wood into a blur. Both hands tightened around the oak as Ahren brought the wooden weapon down towards the rat.

Lex went charging toward the rat right behind Mel's arrow, both swords drawn. "RAAAAAH!" he screamed, swinging the swords parallel to the ground.
