I am back in the US and super-exhausted. Guild-oriented stuffs will happen later this week. For now, laundry and glorious sleep.

Sweet, Hope you had fun, Linda.

School is draining and yet fun. Photograph assignments are thrilling and at times the assignments for my Hist. class are ever so boring. I guess I have to find an interest in the art to be able to thoroughly pick it apart and research it. The photographs of individuals faces with barbed wire over it aren't all that much of an interest to me. Nor those select few photographs of small child kissing from the 1800s. They may have been considered as adults back then but I'm so not into it. Some artistic views of it make me want to smack the critics over the head. Scenery photography is breathtaking in black & White and learning how photography was created is extremely fun. More so than I had thought it would be.

Yoga makes me want to collapse for multiple days on end afterward but other than that it's kind of fun.

Most of the time I'm cracking jokes these days. Silliness seems to be my current mood of dealing with stress of photograph assignment planning interruptions. Not to mention dealing with work when I go without make-up. For some reason the radio questionnaire I listened to about getting pretty for work seems tempting though the way I am I just want to write it all down so I can bat my eyes later. I might be able to gather troops so to speak after talking with two individuals I work with on the subject.

My daughter is in school now. She's finally learned how to color in the lines on some days. The mixture of chaotic and detailed coloring from page to page is adorable. She's bossy and has started to use my own reprimands against my parents in the cutest of ways. I don't think my parents enjoy it overly much but I silently encourage her. Though I'm sure it'll bite me in the tush later on.

I am on vacation in the Outer Banks of NC and caught six fish today. I also caught a picture of the elusive "hot tub frog."

A conversation going on via email with the University of British Columbia since May:

U of BC: "Hi, we have this invoice that we want to pay to you, but we can't pay on an invoice marked "Commercial" Invoice. Can you reprint it without the word Commercial?"

Me: "That invoice was only attached to a package for shipping purposes, to get it across the border into Canada. You guys already paid for these items on another invoice."

U of BC: "Okay, can you send us a copy of this invoice without the word Commercial so we can pay on it?"

Me: "You don't need to pay it, those items were already paid for. That entire order was paid in full months ago. We can't ship things across the border without an invoice and this order shipped in two separate shipments."

U of BC: "We need a copy of this invoice without the word Commercial so we can pay it."

Me: "Okay, here."

*Sends them the invoice without the word "Commercial" with a zero total*

U of BC: "This invoice has a zero total, please resend it with a total so we can pay."

Hey everyone smile
Well, I just joined, and I'm really excited about this guild, so I just thought I'd sorta introduce myself. I'm 24 and am currently in my 3rd year of medical school in Atlanta, GA. I don't have nearly as much spare time as I'd like, but what I do have I usually spend on Gaia or reading (comics or otherwise.) So anyway, it's great to be here!

Hi and Welcome to Kapow.

Well it finally happened. I got a new Laptop.
A 15" ASUS with Intel 7. God it looks great.
Taking some time to set up it, while still using my old one, but I can't wait to kick this clunker to the Curb.

Thanks for the welcome and congrats on the new laptop!
I just got a new laptop myself a couple of weeks ago... it's a Sony Vaio and it's perrrfect. I'm so in love. It's crazy how much of a difference it makes.

I know what you mean, my old one was like 8 or so years old and on it's last leg.
