I chuckled a bit. "That would be the reason, wouldn't it?" I said sheepishly to Lykas.

"Well then, welcome to Team Snagem," I added cheerfully as my gaze returned to the brunette. "I'm Terashi Toumei, and this is Lykas. It's nice to meet you, Freya!"

Samurai made a noise akin to a sigh. (Well, I guess it didn't hurt him... and she does need life energy to grow... I just don't feel right letting her eat his life energy though...)

Lykas laughed lightly at the Purrloin's antics as it stole the sandwich he offered Freya. "No worries. My boyfriend has a Purrloin, too. She's just as bad." He told her with a light laugh. "Everything's still on the table if you'd like one?" He added. Why shouldn't he be nice to the new girl?

"Hey, Lykas! Have you seen Narcissa? I can't find her....." Odd entered the kitchen and looked around, spotting Lykas with Terashi and a new girl. A new girl who seemed hurt. "Wow.....what did you two do to her? Do I need to put a leash on you, Lykas?" Lykas couldn't react before the red-eyed male approached and gave him a light peck on the cheek.

Chinami waved Samurai's concern off. (Don't let it bother you. She'll learn to hunt soon enough, but she's currently 'borrowing' energy from pretty much everybody.) She explained as she looked up at Lykas and Odd. (In fact, both of our humans have donated to her. Even I've given her a bit of mine to help.) How generous.

Dan stood outside, pokeball in hand. He wanted this battle to be fun and to do that, he wouldn't be pulling his punches- figuratively speaking of course. Once Sekushi stepped outside, the trainer grinned, glad he could make it. "Ready to begin? I was thinking about what pokemon to use and I think I'm going to agree with my friend." Tossing the pokeball, a small yellow mouse emerged, stretching and yawning. Dan wondered if choosing the moody Pichu was a good idea but Hawk had a point, she needed the experience.

I rubbed the back of my neck instinctively when Odd entered the room. "I didn't do anything to her..." I muttered as Odd walked near us.

(Yeah.) Samurai says calmly. (Sorry, I'm just defensive over my friend. I kinda feel like it's my job to protect him or something.)

Freya smiled brightly. At least everyone here seemed nice and didn't seem to care that she was, obviously, new. But would they care if they knew that she had just been wandering around HQ for god knows how long? That was a good question. She looked back at Terashi again. "Thanks and I just got her. It seems we haven't quite gotten used to each other yet." She explained, looking down at her Purrloin who was calmly cleaning herself as if she wasn't the current conversational topic. When another voice entered the room, Freya looked over, blushing at the 'what did you two do' question, causing her to forget the information on the food that was still on the table. However, what her eyes saw next was something completely out of this world. Her face seemed to burst into flames as her brain processed the information about these two new people that were, obviously, in a relationship with each other. Though they were both guys. Needless to say, Freya was glad she still had the slightly blood-soaked tissue from earlier. "Th-they didn't do anything ..." She stated quietly.

As she was trying to find things to look at and not stare, despite the fact that she ever so badly wanted to, Freya's eyes looked down at her Purrloin once again and noticed that she was missing someone ... "TEPIG!" She shouted suddenly. She had barely been a trainer for a few hours and already she had lost one of her Pokemon! Great! Panic settled into the girl as she began searching desperately, not having yet noticed that the male Tepig had merely wandered off towards the two Oshwatts.

Odd laughed at Terashi's awkwardness. "I know. I figured as much. I heard we got a new recruit. GRAY is good for more than snarky comments, after all." He informed before he turned to Freya just in time to see her freaking out over her missing Tepig. Locating the flame-bacon wasn't hard for him and he pointed it out. "That it over there, with Samurai and Chinami?" He asked, pointing out the two samurai otter Pokemon.

Lykas just laughed lightheartedly at Freya's response. "Nah. Purrloin are all like that. They use their cuteness to entrance people and steal from them without suspicion." He explained.

(You're a good partner, then.) Chinami told Samurai with a wider grin. (Most humans should be so lucky. A lot Pokemon team up with humans just to get stronger. It can take a lot to gain that kind of feeling for a human.) She added. It was nice to see a Pokemon that felt so strongly for their human so early in life.

Samurai smiled, but before he could say anything else, I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. "We should be heading off for the night, buddy."

Samurai didn't like being interrupted, but he bid Chinami a civil adieu before following me as I picked the Bagon up and headed out. "I'll see everyone tomorrow," I added as I left the kitchen.

Once in my room, I rummaged through my pack and set up a comfortable place for Bagon to sleep. Sunny and Drillbur stayed in their Pokeballs, and Samurai slept at the foot of my bed. As I dressed for sleep, I glanced over at my Academy Pokedex, but decided not to rummage through it. I could name Drillbur and Bagon tomorrow.

As long as she knew where her Tepig was, Freya wasn't going to panic. She did, however, let out a sigh of relief, turning to Odd with a small smile. The image of these two, Odd and Lykas, well ... behind closed doors ... "Thank you ... for ... locating him." She said quietly, her bright blue eyes moving from Lykas to Odd then back again, her face slowly getting more and more red. Oh God she needed to get out of here before she did something stupid. Turning to Lykas again, Freya willed herself to speak and not say anything that would cause them to look at her funny. "By .. any chance ... would you know where the rooms are? I mean the living quarters ... I mean ... um ..." She sighed heavily, giving up on appearing normal in any sense of the word. She was never going to get a boyfriend or become anything more than a Rookie at this point.

Lykas whistled for Chinami when he realized she was carrying Narcissa. "Thanks, girl. But we should probably be following Terashi's lead." He told the Dewott. She nodded and bid adieu to Samurai, offering to perhaps speak with him more another day.

"Lykas makes a good point. We're in need of sleep." Odd informed Freya. "If you like, we can show you where the bedrooms are on our way." He offered. Whether she accepted or not, the duo started off for the bedrooms. It wouldn't take long to reach them at all.

>She followed

"You'll find a room with your name on the door here. That one's yours, obviously." He explained before he and Lykas ducked into his room.

>She didn't follow

The two boys found their way to Odd's room and entered in companionable silence, getting their Pokemon situated before climbing into bed themselves. Narcissa had a special fishtank set up in the window for her. (She's about 1/5 the size of a fully grown Frillish, so her tank is just large enough for her to hang out in when she needs water.)

Freya finally seemed to get her emotions in control and was capable of rational thinking once again. She went over and gently picked up Tepig from his spot on the floor, smiling at him and rubbing his head between his ears a bit before coming over to the two males again. She nodded lightly at Odd's statement; sleep sounded like a grand idea and she liked the sound of finally getting to her room.

"Thanks for showing me the way." She thanked as they walked, her bags resting on her shoulders once again. Freya thanked them once more before they parted ways. It didn't take her long to find her room and the moment they were all in and the door was closed firmly, the brunette dropped her bags on the floor before setting Tepig down and flopping over onto her bed. It had been a long, long day and she was absolutely exhausted.

"I'll put everything away tomorrow ..." She mumbled into her pillow only moments before she fell asleep, not even having had the chance to get changed. The two Pokemon looked at each other before jumping up onto the bed and curling up against their Trainer, one on each side.

Samurai was the first one to awaken. After checking my face to make sure I was asleep (I was), he slipped off of the bed and quietly exited my room. From there, he walked through the hallway, past the main area, into the kitchen to pick up its scalchop that Chinami's beauty made him forget, and out the entrance. Samurai came across the waterfall covering the entrance to headquarters and dived into the pool.

He had a lot of training to do if he was going to impress a certain Dewott.

Samurai wasn't the only early bird in the HQ. Once outside, he'd find Twelve by the side of the pool, gracefully dancing with his Scalchops. He was deep in concentrating, so when the Oshawott came into the area, Twelve jumped a little. (Oh. It's you again!) He sighed. (What are you doing up so early?)

Will entered the Snagem HQ, his bag in tow, overflowing with literature for him to read. He walked to his room and closed the door, but left the door open just a sliver. He curled up on his bed and layed the books out before him. Selecting a text, he began to read, enjoying a small amount of alone time. As he read, Will kept his senses alert. He would be willing to discuss anything with anyone should they enter but his mind was still within the world he was reading.

Sekushi felt his head shiver as Cyn got nervous and clung to his head. " It's ok, Cyn, I won't push you so hard like your trainer" he said before taking out another pokeball besides Cyn's and threw it in front of him. Out of the pokeball, came a small candle with its flame still burning a strange color. Sekushi felt this would be the only choice he had with Cyn the way he was. Lit looked back and jumped cheerfully at Sekushi before turning back to the opponent.

Sub walked down out of his office, down the stairs and heading into the main area of the building, his backpack in tow. "Ugh, my head has been pounding lately, ever since that boat trip, it's been building up." He said rubbing his head.
