Joe looked around and realized Paul was gone. Remembering the slap he had received the day before, he turned back to the Sage and the Acolyte. He tried to use Wind to pin them in place, or at least slow them down. He also threw up a dust cloud to obscure their sight. He began to fire into the dust cloud, then fired a few down onto the ground floor, then switched back.
Marco was still shooting at anyone he could see.

((Fyrin can throw things that explode ON things to make them blow up. He can't spontaneously explode things yet.))
A familiar looking beam came from the dust cloud.
Joe was lucky - it didn't touch him because of the dust cloud.
The beam began to sweep indiscriminately around the balcony. Two werebeasts on the lower level lost limbs to it, and the bottom-level defense line broke. The elementalist warlocks were covering their retreat through a door behind the barricade.
The beam's source repeatedly twitched to the sides, making dodging about as risky of a prospect as standing still.
Suddenly, a wave of mana passed from the ground level to the Acolyte and Sage. The Sage ended his Physics Beam as a bubble of mana surrounded the Acolyte and expanded rapidly, shoving them apart. A glance showed that Linda had set up some sort of remote trapping thaumaturgy which had isolated the Acolyte. The Sage had an angry look as he slammed his fists against the barrier from the outside, trying to get the Acolyte out of it.

Alan flicked his hand into a couple of symbols and pointed at a balcony above, then the shadow of the pillar.

Paul didn't move but dropped to his stomach and stayed there, Chameleonicked, remaining safe the whole time somehow. He wasn't sure whether or not to fire, but... the phase round hole would be too small. He took a shot right between the eyes.
Fyrin, meanwhile, directed the skeletons to advance, trying to prevent the door from closing. He even thrust up earth there between, blowing some up to prevent the door from getting close to closed.
Darius, meanwhile, was summoning himself just outside of the entryway.

Oh geez Jacob thought, not exactly sure what Alan meant. He had an idea, though. Jacob bent down and touched the shadow of the pillar with his hand. He began to sink into the shadow slowly. He looked up to see if that was what Alan had meant.

Alan grabbed Jacob to stop him from sinking further. Chameleonic, he mouthed exaggeratedly, activating a Chameleonic while releasing Jacob.
--
Paul's shot splattered the Sage's brains against the wall.
The Acolyte shrieked something and began beating at her confines, tears streaming from her eyes. She clawed at the barrier so hard her fingers began to bleed until she collapsed to the ground, softly and rhythmically beating her hands against the wall of mana as she sobbed.

"Killsapper!" Joe shouted gleefully as he fired on the retreating warlocks and werebeasts. It seemed that they were winning so far. "Where are we going to next?"

One elementalist saw a fireball about to hit a vampire in the back. He shoved the vampire to the side, taking the hit himself. He screamed as his arm was cooked to the bone. The other pulled him through the door, blew out the earth blocking the door, and sealed it. The lowest floor, it seemed, was clear. Dead bodies were all over.

Jacob nodded and went Chameleonic himself, thinking that it would have been better if Alan had just went Chameleonic instead of vaguely pointing at a random shadow.

((Joe uses Fire Arrows instead of fireballs because they're way stronger, but OK.))
Joe sighed. "Well, there we have it. What's the next phase?" His eyes drifted over to the imprisoned Acolyte. He sauntered over in that direction.

Paul gritted his teeth and turned his rifle to the Acolyte, firing a shot at her head now. "Killsapper," he muttered quietly without thinking about anything but this shot.
Fyrin, meanwhile, attempted to detonate the floor out using the marble that had been used as the barricade as an explosive object. His skeletons, excluding Steven, were gathering and reloading. On a side thought, he tossed the soul at a dead body and sealed it in. Whatever he had chosen (he hadn't paid attention) got up and shook it's head, a little disconcerted understandably.

((If he's firing indiscriminately, though, fireballs are about as good. A fire arrow is just a condensed and more linear fireball.))
Jacob and his team emerged on the second floor. There was a demon and a summoner nearby. Alan's hand appeared briefly. Before Jacob knew what it meant, the demon collapsed and the summoner disappeared, reappearing seconds later with the inside his neck exposed to the outside. Alan appeared, as did Rose and Cyrus. "We'll take this door and get to the stairs," Alan informed them, gesturing at a door. He disappeared again.
--
The phase bullet punched through Linda's immobilizing spell. The Acolyte fell the ground; a thin pool of blood and tears formed in the boundaries of the spell.
A werebeast with its intestines spilled across the floor was Steven's new body; if nothing else, it was a very tall one.
The door, which was metallic, held fast.

((I suppose. I just like the Fire Arrow more.))
Joe recoiled. "Oh my, OK." He looked around. "Can someone please tell me what we're doing next?"

Josh disengaged his shield from around Linda. "Come on, you think a metal door will hold up as well against the Fists as they can against-" he snapped his arms up and a bullet ricocheted off the Titan's Fists. "Oh-kaaay, clear the upper levels first!" he declared.
Sebastian, with marble plating on his hands, walked out into the middle. He swung a hand upward and the marble plate flew up. A loud crack came from above. "Got one!" he declared cheerily.
((Also, Paul's morality rank has just dropped a notch - which will have an effect on 27's setup. Ruthless reputation, here you come!
Advanced reply to any complaints about this: Come on, man. The Acolyte girl was immobilized and having a breakdown as she was trapped unable to do anything about the body of her (presumable) lover inches away from her with his head explodified, so desperate to do something - anything - that she tore her hands open trying to get out of a magical shield she could never break. Your response: you complain about kill-stealing and then you just explodicate her head, too.))

Joe lifted into the air, his lip twisting just ever so slightly as he turned away from the dead Sages and the invisible Paul. He shivered. He launched his way up to the upper level, spinning in the air and throwing waves of white fire in all directions.

((You mean lip twitching? o_O))
Several warlocks stopped the fire in its tracks by various methods. On the highest level before Joe would've hit ceiling, a lone woman with no mana signal let the fire pass over and around her unharmed.
