She was quiet as they had their manly altercation of sorts. Savryn supposed she should be flattered...then again almost any elf could transfix a human into a state of wonderment and allure. She rolled her eyes however at his explanation with it...just because you didn't do the deed didn't mean that you didn't think about it in your own private time. Or for some, not so private.

Chylithair gave a noise at his closeness crowding what he thought was his space, prancing in place on Savvy's arm for a brief moment before she pat him to soothe him. She noted how close he was as well, why did he have to be that close? "What got into you..." Wasn't this what they didn't need to talk about?

He had stayed silent while the male of the pair had said his speel. It was offend that humans were the ones quick to jealous fits, it seemed the the high and mighty elves were no better then the decedents of monkeys like himself.

It seemed that his conversation with the young lady was over for now. He merely shrugged, he wasn't going to interrupt this lover's quarrel. Didn't mean he wasn't going to watch so steeping back so that he would not be in the way, he sat on the edge of the boat and watched the two friends have at it.

He was close because he didn't want the human overhearing such things. It wasn't often that he apologized and he definitely didn't want some human thinking he had an upper hand or anything like that. "Yes, what got into me. I startled you and took advantage of the state you were in and I shouldn't have done that. It only unsettled you even more than you already were."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 6:51 pm

"State I was in....you mean having a fever and like it or not being vulnerable from soul swapping and drowning." She wasn't exactly sure what to do with his apology though. Or all his stupid mixed signals...he was just cutting even deeper by reinforcing things. That hot feeling was starting to come back though and she didn't like that at all, thus stepped away from him. "What does it matter if I'm unsettled. You got your kicks, so why don't you just leave me be until you need me for this job of yours."

"Fair enough."

desdemona glanced toward the entry to the lower decks, hearing a loud crash and a string of cursewords.

"At least he's being productive, I think."

Drifter frowned lightly.

"Come now. surely the present has it's own beauties and fine things? Surely there's a woman or two that is worth at least enjoying time with. Or some places that have items or foods that you haven't given yourself time to indulge in."

"Your...fever." Which he still didn't believe was a fever at all and his father had more or less confirmed his suspicions but not given him anything else to go on. It irked him a bit. He let her step away since the human behind them didn't appear to be listening in and shook his head, even more frustrated than before. "There were no kicks, Savryn. Why do you always think I'm out to humiliate you or make you feel like you aren't good enough? You get plenty of practice doing that to me, there's no reason for me to do it back to you."

"Productive or reckless, both can be argued." Clearing her throat, "When he finally does decide he wants to sleep, he'll be rather exhausted tomorrow, make sure he curls up to you. That whole temperature thing he doesn't know how to control yet."

"I'm afraid that there is just not a woman for me anymore. Beautiful and fine things aside from them? Yes plenty. Could I dabble out at the atolls? Yes but now is not the time for that. Though you all provide protection for the city in your own way, the people still look to me. If I'm gone, the people get nervous."

"You're the one trying to prove a point and take what I'm saying as insult." Though she gave a sigh as this was going to recycle into the same fight as before and she just didn't have the energy for it. Though the hot did go away a little and the pink drained from her cheeks some. "Look. We don't agree on whatever semantics we're arguing, so let's just drop it. I don't have the energy to argue with you. You have things to do, you're not going to get them done by arguing with me."

Stroud as the brute's nature, still watched the pair of elves with interest. He had to admit that the female, Silverfeather as she called herself had caught his interesting. Though not in the same way that she was imaging that she had, he found that it was most offend the people that came off as the prickliest that turned out to be the greatest of friends. Stroud loved making friends, to him it was the greater purpose of life. His swords were merely his art.

He smiled lightly to himself as he stuck his hands gently into his pockets, he had urge to light up another pipe, but wasn't too keen on angering two elves, and so it best not to, and merely stood there his ways wandering about the boat as the crew went about it's work.

"Have you even been with a woman since?"

getting herself up and walking over by him, glancing out the window.

"The people need to learn to be without you sometimes. Had we not come to help, you'd probably be in a stress induced coma by now. then where would they be? It is a good thing they trust you and draw strength from their leader. But they can't rely on you all the time, you can't bear the world on your shoulders forever. I'm sure your strategic advisor or your highest in command after you in your Guardian force could handle things for a few days and nights."

"That won't be a problem."

a slight shrug though.

"I am concerned about things...I have tired to spread word of the resistance, but everyplace we go it seems to fall on deaf ears. Have we dragons given up the fight so soon?"

Sometimes he just wanted to shake her. She was as passive aggressive as his father sometimes and that style had never really worked for him. Grumbling under his breath, he stepped back from her and shook his head. "Fine. You do what you want and I'll do what I want." Women...they were so damn complicated sometimes. He decided to step quietly over to another part of the ship and merely watch her.

"No I haven't." Watching as she walked over and looked out the window, presumably watching the people out of it. "My son is out on the sands and Koto can construct but he has some trouble with the executing of things." Tilting his head, "I thought you weren't a medic? They're usually the ones perscribing vacations among other things."

"Perhaps. The problem comes with the way things are. More dragons have joined with the Riders themselves. Some even willingly provide themselves as breeding fodder for the ranks in exchange for contracting their own safety or for positions in the Rider ranks. How can you stand against something that is so easily accpeted by others as the way things are? Taerin was a prime example."

"Sounds good to me." Well...a different fight was better than the endless one that was a vicious circle. Moving back over to the railing she found herself a barrel lashed close by and hoisted herself up to sit on it. "Stupid Kelli."

A slight chuckle.

"No, I am not a medic as you know them. I am in tune to the earth and stone, and know many remedies provided by plants and such through that link."

glancing at the streets below.

"But I also watch dragons and people. I don't do much good as a liason between mother earth and her children if I cannot communicate effectively. that means knowing when someone is overly stressed, or too tired, or too angry. when the emotion overrides the senses, or those that are too logical to feel my words in their heart."

leaning forward on her elbows.

"your worry is fraying your edges. while you're admirable to wish to bear all burdens, you simply cannot. you worry for your son and his future. you worry for your city and it's future. you worry about the black sand, you worry about your brother in law in the salt. you worry about Captain Deacon and wether his word is true or not. or my captain, and his word. pile it upon itself, and it is a heavy burden. and only the weight of a feather may send it tumbling down."

Still a frown.

"It shouldn't be that way. we should fight, fight until the last of us is dead or dying before being turned into mentally defective beats of burden."

"Well there is little to do that can damper such worries as they are the crux of the matter that is inescapable at present time. Do I need to step back a bit and let others handle things? Perhaps I should. Do I trust others to do things right so that I may not worry, probably not. I'd worry whether I was in the lime light or not."

"And what? All of us die until there's nothing left but captured true bloods as breeding fodder and dragons that self allied wtih Riders? We are nothing more than cattle to those that will see us as such, and they feel no kinship to us. Dragons killing dragons for such reasons are unforgivable thoughts...and yet they are reality. Is it better to stalemate and survive the war, or die in a battle and everything be for nothing?"
PostPosted: Fri Jul 10, 2009 8:20 pm

"Better to die on our feet then live on our knees."

desdemona crossed her arms lightly.

"We should fight back. Show those mortal men and women why we were feared and respected before, adn why we should be so again. and dragons that choose to side with the riders should be given a traitor's fate."

Drifter sighed lightly.

"Fair enough I suppose. But I am here, if you need me, in any way I can help you."

"Yes it is...but until others believe that, there is little that can be done. You can scream all you want at them and hope they catch the fire that you have for this and spread the secrets of such things. Or you can annouce openly you intentions. Shadows are grand but fortune favors the bold. One outspoken voice can raise others. By doubting our courage to take them to task, they double it and yet we still stay our hands from striking."

Turning a look to the other directly then. "You speak to me of the Rider dragons you have with you, how I am to them. You would rather they live than die. Is it because they can think for themselves? One command and the sky blue would jump...I can see it in her. But...all Rider dragons come from somewhere. Are you willing to kill you family to save them?"

He smiled lightly. "I know...I'm hardly any fun and I am stubborn to a flaw. I always have been and Lari was the counterbalance to that. I have been off balance for centuries now. Trying to find something to rebalance things is no easy task."
