((Acolytes can go at near-light speeds at their best without suffering from air resistance, inertia, etc., through use of time dilation and simple kinetic flight. However, they have no shields and can do nothing to protect themselves from Newtonian physics if they hit something at that speed, so they have to strike at ordinary speeds.
Sages blow stuff up.
Archsages do both.))

Joe kept firing Arrows. Still.

((Er... no, she wouldn't. She would return to normal speed because she's just moving at normal speed, in a localized area of time where time moves much faster.
Acolytes tend to look much older than a calendar would suggest.))
The Sage was physically lifted by the Acolyte and moved around the arrows as he finished. She was rather strong for how thin her frame was.

((Oooooooh! FOr some reason I thought the guy was with us...re-post! I have no clue why he logged...I'm going to follow his example soon.))
Jacob swore quietly and put his back to a pillar, pulling out of sight. He was still fairly new at Shadow, but he was getting pretty good at it. His body shimmered slightly before fading from sight as Jacob manipulated the light around his body. He stepped out from the pillar, essentially invisible, to see how many there were. If it was just the one, he would sneak up on that one.

((Agnese: We've timeskipped past the Bloodhoundery, we're at the attack on the Cabal Coalition base by the Hunters' Coven.))
Jacob was unseen by a row of about twenty jumpy-looking vampires and werebeasts backed up by warlocks and what appeared to be a sage and an acolyte. Demons were standing behind the barricade as well.

Oh my... Jacob thought, That's a lot of people that want to kill us...
He decided that it would probably be best to sneak by them, seeing as their mission was about stealth, not combat. He moved back behind the pillar and faded back into sight. He looked at the others and flashed all the fingers on his hands twice for twenty. He mouthed the words "Vampires, Werebeasts, Warlocks, Acolyte, Sage." He then motioned that they should sneak by them.

Where had Paul gone? He was gone. Disappeared. Very thoroughly hidden, in fact.
No gunfire came from him. Whatever support Joe wanted to have to wait until he needed it.
His sight picture, however, was focused dead on the Acolyte's head. From a very short distance away. But he wasn't going to just let the Acolyte get away, oh no. That would be... stupid. He was going to summon Darius and he was going to put Darius right around her and the Sage, a place from whence it would not be so simple to escape.
He started preparations.
((Fyrin can detonate things. Why can't he detonate demons? He can detonate walls, but not demons?))
