((Not a dark elf actually, absurdly pale. Only her ear tips say Tier'dal.))

They also liked to talk. Still scratching at Chy she frowned privately as she watched nothing in particular but darkness that she was used to. What was that supposed to be? A crack about how she was overly sensitive because she was blind? Oh poor elf, can't take a little smoke? She was angry right now and wanted badly to redirect it at someone. He was a fine candidate but knowing her...well she'd make him a meat puppet and that wouldn't be appreciated.

"It's not an acquaintance if you haven't introduced yourself." Smoothing some of Chy's feathers with a sigh. "Silverfeather-D'vinn." Giving him something to call her by because they liked that too, human closeness or something. They liked to think they were close fast. "Unfortunately there is no excuse for humans, especially when they like to do what kills their fragile bodies faster."

((Well, don't I look utterly stupid? Thanks for the head ups miss))

At this point he would have most likely made a crack at something that she had said and exploded in anger, but he wasn't about to encur the wrath of a female, let alone one that could wipe the floor with his rather large tush.

"Aye, we are a disgusting race at that miss." He wasn't one to call people by their first name, it created a familiarity that he wasn't altogether comfortable with. "And a fragile one at that miss." he said as he ran his fingers through his hair. "The name is Stroud miss." he added. It seemed that he would be the target for her anger, Stroud was no empath but anger was one of those emotions that seemed to ooze off the skin of the indivual. But he did not mid, if it made the miss feel better then let her anger be towards him, what was another to enemy?

"Well that's a plus. So will you be staying shipside, or are you just going to move with us as we travel, provided what you want to see done isn't done before we leave this place?"

Hunter was stumbling around, trying to walk around without that damned boulder. He could do it, he had walked as a human, by the sands he could walk as a dragon without damned help.

"Well, why not dally in a human perspective for a time? just enjoy the now, and not look to the future. Don't worry about the city. just indulge yourself in your own passions."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 3:41 pm

"Could you quit with the miss thing? It's irritating." Granted she didn't know why she stated it like a question...maybe just so he wouldn't get huffy and on her case. "I suppose you're not very useful to anything I need. All of you are pretty worthless on this ship." That wasn't just the hate of humans talking either...in all actuality they were all pirates and were good at that, proving little help to her own affairs. Bet she could 'convince' one to nail things down for her so they wouldn't slide though. Hm.

"Either or, depending on what happens on deck. I won't lie...I'm not fond of humans and they have a tendency to do uninvited things too. Nor do I like being restricted to this form. I will take my leave as I see fit to soothe those two needs."

"The human perspective? I'm afraid I don't know much about that. Now to me seems bleak...if I look to the future I can at least imagine a better time and place."

Kelligrin wasn't doubting what his father said but he did want to know why he wasn't being given the full truth. There was clearly something going on that he wasn't supposed to know for some reason. "If you say so. Like I said, she doesn't want very much to do with me anyway. Hasn't mentioned Shy either, though, so maybe that's a good sign."
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 3:51 pm

He let out a rather boisterous laugh. he couldn't help but to do so. He was finding her to be a rather amusing person. Though he knew better then to say that out loud. "I'm afraid I can't miss." he said with a slight pause. "You see it's old habit of mine, I only call those I consider friends by there names. Being raced in a swordsmith's home one doesn't have much time for things like social graces." he said with a broad smile. Not that she would be able to see it off course.

"And you're right, compared to creatures that can harness magic and live several of our lifetimes we humans must seem useless, and a load of pirates as we be I can think of no greater waste of space." he said as side note. "But useless as I may be the cosmos has seen fit to place me here, so who am I to argue." She would soon come to find out that he wasn't never offended by anything to dense to he supposed. He smiled as he thought of something at the last minute. "If you dislike miss, what am I to call ye? I could always call you mistress. For as far as species go you are higher in rank."

"She's not going to mention Shy, even if she misses her. If I know anything about that girl, it's that she isn't going to force Shy to do anything. She chose to come back here to help your mother and Savryn isn't going to try and yank her back on a whirlwind adventure."

Ears twitched again at his noise. In other words, another one of his stupid human flaws. Though her frown grew deeper as he continued to talk. Was he being passive agressive with her? The nerve. "What? Is Silverfeather-D'vinn too long for you? I know it's not too hard, it's common tongue. that must just make you lazy and if you're too lazy for that you're better off keeping quiet. Or losing your tongue which I can do for you, for free on that matter." Ugh humans.

Several dirty words bubbled to his mind, but he wasn't going to speak them. He was a patient man if not the most intelligent one. She had just mentioned that she would cut out his tongue, most sane men would run, or attack her at this point but as always he never knew when to shut the hell up. "Very well SilverFeather D'Vinn, as you wish." he said with a voice that let go none of the anger that was boiling inside him. Pride was the sign on a foolish man, and he had learned that lesson years ago. "Lazy? me? by the saints above I think you've pegged me well." he said as he looked out over the edge of the ship, "I build swords and use them to make a living, a true beggar am I." again his voice was nothing but cheerful. Could nothing piss him off?

"I know. She was just a lot nicer when Shy was still around. Never understood exactly why those two bonded so easily." Shaking his head. It wasn't doing any good to keep his father with meaningless conversation when he was fairly sure there were other things he needed to be doing. "I'll let you get back to cleaning before Mom catches you with blood coming out of your nose. Take care, Dad. And thanks." Now he was debating on trying to patch things up with Savryn, too. Even though Dad had said specifically to stay away.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 06, 2009 4:32 pm

"Because your sister took the time to learn how to live with Savryn, I suppose you could say." Which had been amusing some, as Shyrae stumbled around runically blind for a good week. "Behave yourself."

Yes...he was being passive aggressive with her by that statement and that made her anger jack up a notch. So very close to just turning on this man and hurting him. Hurting him didn't mean he would die so technically she couldn't get yelled at by already brooding pirate captains. "Like you're complicated." Pushing off the railing, Chy jumping to her forearm, she turned and gave a superficial look over the deck.

Yeah so he was being a little passive aggressive sure beat the alternative. Besides it wasn't like he could help himself, he was an uncouth man to say the least. So he stood in silence as she moved and then looked over the deck making the comment about him being uncomplicated. He laughed once more as he turned to face the sand. "I like her, she's a feisty one." he said as he ran his fingers through his blond hair. "She's a keeper for sure." He had let it slip without realizing that she was well within reach of hearing it, and more then likely would not take it as the off handed innocent comment that he had intended it to be.

"Touch her and die, human." Kelligrin stepped up behind the blacksmith with a rather wicked looking blade curved against the small of his back. "She doesn't appreciate comments like that and I don't appreciate you upsetting her or making her feel uncomfortable. Keep your wayward thoughts to yourself or expel them in silence if you really have no self control." Turning his blood red gaze over to the subject of their altercation. "I need to talk to you."

Stupid humans, did they not realize she could hear even their whispered breaths? Those were not compliments to her in her eyes as they were more of him saying that she was more trouble than worth but probably a good lay for bed. Just about to show him the error of his worse she was turning on her bootheel...when Kelligrin's voice hit the air. What the hell? Savryn wasn't sure if she was happy he was doing it or pissed that he stole her opportunity. "We have nothing to talk about. You've made your point."

It seems that Stroud had been backed into a corner. But as most humans would react with murderous intent spitting something about honor and fighting like a man. Stroud wasn't a normal man, his voice was calm devoid of fear, death had been a mistress whose cold lips he knew well. "Sir, best run that blade through my back, I shall not change my manner for your whims. I meant no disrespect by my comment and I am sorry if you took it as anything but an off handed comment. Though I do admit to finding your lady friend quite the gorgeous creature, I'm celibate." he said with a voice that held no laughter, he was being serious, "So end my life if you see fit, sir." Stroud said

Ugh, humans. Kelligrin had been taught by his father how difficult they were to deal with and here was a prime example. "How you meant it means nothing. It depends on how she took it, and as you can see, the lady was displeased." And she was probably even more pissed that he'd tried to defend her honor or whatever other reason she was going to cite. "If I was intending to kill you, you'd be dead already." Sheathing his blade and crossing his arms. "Did I? That's not what we need to talk about." Stepping close enough to her that he could practically feel her clothes brushing against his. "I'm sorry, Vryn. I don't know what got into me..."
