I think LPS is trying to avoid the thinking herself. She's made it very clear that she doesn't approve of what I think, because it doesn't make her feel good, although I'm going to venture that she has no idea what I'm really thinking about. If she did, she wouldn't hate me for it. Research or not, ignorance is ignorance when two people, who are talking about the "same subject", have no idea what the other is actually saying, nor care to hear the other side out regardless.
Actually...
You're not gonna want to hear this, but the conflict is coming from your continuing efforts to "convert" her. All she wants to do is believe in what she's come to accept as truth. She's already done her thinking, and simply wishes to avoid conflict. It isn't that she doesn't approve of your beliefs, it's more that she doesn't approve of your repeated efforts to force your thoughts upon her.
I think. That's what it looks like from the outside, anyways.

lol I am not trying to convert her. I am, in a way, forcing my thoughts, but there were several times where she opened the door to that discussion of her own volition.
I know she's already done some thinking, but I know for a fact that she's never considered it the same way I and many others have, because if she had, she wouldn't pass it off so quickly.
Pure Thoughts about the Christian God are never accompanied by bitterness and demand for Justice, the way LPS approached everything I brought up, which says to me that her thoughts about the Christian God have been tainted by a great misfortune that she has to reconcile in a way that takes the blame either off of herself, or off of someone she cares about. Something terrible happened to her, and now she blames God for it, and by extension, everybody else who doesn't.
So she's chosen seclusion. She chooses to be happy with whatever she can make of life, though she has yet to admit whether that is much or little. She's chosen a very modern form of Epicureanism, where it's all about what you Want, and shunning the things you Don't want. It makes me sad that she thinks the only Good things in life are the things that 'make her feel good', because most others would agree that sometimes the hardest trials give way to the greatest rewards, but she discards other people's opinions without caring whether it'll aid her or harm her either way.
She doesn't suffer from Ignorance of Life, because she knows very much what makes her feel good in some cases. But she does suffer from ignorance of Truth, because she doesn't know that some of the things that don't feel so good are the things that will allow her to expand in ways even She can't imagine.
I know you aren't trying to convert people, that's why I put it in quotes. xd
I...I don't want to say anything to that. I'm not LPS, and I feel like anything I could say would be just as generalizing, inferencing, assuming, and judging as that. And I can't bring myself to do something that I know would ultimately be me judging other people.

I'm not trying to judge, I'm only making observations based on what I've observed in her, while adding a great deal of my perspective on the implications. It may be wrong of me to add Me into the equation, but it would be wronger of me not to share what I've seen, like I've been saying throughout.

Isn't that what judging is? Making observations, drawing conclusions from them based on your own knowledge, perspective, and experiences, and applying them to a situation?
(Also, "wronger" is not a word. XD)

If it's judging, I'll call it what it is, but don't mistake it for condescending.

Dictionary.com
judg·ment [juhj-muhnt]–noun
1. an act or instance of judging.
2. the ability to judge, make a decision, or form an opinion objectively, authoritatively, and wisely, especially in matters affecting action; good sense; discretion: a man of sound judgment.

If This is the definition, than I'd say it's exactly what I've been doing. wink

Short replies because I am sick of talking about it but don't want anyone feeling hated when they aren't:

-> I like how the definition of judgment is full of subjective words. A judgment inside a judgment! INCEPTION, it is possible. They've done it.

-> I don't 'hate' you, or your beliefs, or your God, Med. I think that everyone has the freedom to think, feel, and believe whatever they want. I am annoyed by your blatant and repeated refusal to respect that freedom, despite requests and complaints from multiple guild members now.

-> Don't care what you think about me, my beliefs, or my reasons for believing them. Don't care to waste time trying to reverse the judgments of someone who is only going to create new ones in their place. Not even going to address any of that, you can judge me however you please.

Laughter is a response to truth. Anger is a response to truths you don't like.
Interesting how most people stopped laughing.
