Monty remembered that Kalore didn't eat alot of meat so he cut up alot of different fruits and started to make a fruit juice that he thought Kalore might like. Why he still cared about that elf after pissing him off was beyond him. Generally he would have left Kalore to his own makings but that was just cruel somehow. The demon finished making the meal and looked at it with a growl. It didn't take that much time to make. Then again he could clean up or go to the training area and just let it all out while Kalore ate. That was a good idea.
Picking up the big plate of fruits and the glass of all natural fruit juice, he walked back, opening the door to Kalore's room with his mind and walked in, looking at Kalore. "I told you to stay in the bed Kalore. Do you really want to be permenantly broken?" He didn't think the threat was going to scary Kalore but it felt good to try.

And the threat didn't scare him. Kalore looked at the fruit and walked to the bed, sitting back down while being careful of the burns on his back. The look he gave the demon was blank, wondering what he was going to do next. Kalore didn't want to make him bad, but what was he supposed to do?! He wanted answers and Monty wasn't providing them. So, he fought back in his bratty way, challenging Monty to do something about it with his eyes.

Growling again, he walked to the night stand and layed the items down, keeping away from Kalore. "Don't tempt me elf. I'm about to go violent and I don't think you would live if that happens. If you need anything, ring his bell." He said, placing a small silver bell next to the food and started to walk out of the room. He stopped and looked over his shoulder at the elf. "You need anything else?"

Kalore was about to say some smart a** remark, but he didn't. Instead he breathed deeply and counted to ten. Looking at Monty he nodded, "Talk to me... Calm down, and talk to me... Please?" He really needed someone just there at the moment, but he mainly just wanted to figure out what happened a few days ago in the tower. It was... Annoying to say the least. Looking at the food, he mouthed out again, "Thank you for the food." Though he wouldn't be able to eat much of it.

Monty looked away and took a step forward. It was definiately wrong to leave the elf alone. Not because he felt that he was going to do something bad to himself but that leaving him like that was doing him harm. He cared. The demon actually cared about someone who was complicating him. Turning on his heel, he left the door open and walked to the end up the bed, opposite of Kalore, his back turned towards the elf. "I have nothing to say." He said bluntly which he knew that Kalore would give him reason to say something.

With Monty's back turned to Kalore, that gave him a chance to look sad and bite back his pride. Sighing silently, he was on his knees, right behind Monty, as he rested a hand on his shoulder, not forcing Monty to look at him, but making it obvious that he wanted him to. Kalore didn't know what he was going to 'say' but it was just something that was spurred in him to do.

Monty's back stiffened at the contact and ignored that usual urge to move away and leave. He turned around, not just his head but his torso as well to look at Kalore, giving him a blank look that masked everything he felt and thought.

Still sitting on his knees, Kalore let his hand drop as he looked to the side, trying to figure out why he did that. Sighing, he looked at Monty with a look that just screamed 'I'm sorry, please forgive me', but he knew that the demon didn't seem to like apologies. Kalore sighed again and just mouthed out, "I don't know what to do, Monty. I'd apologize, but you don't seem to like those. Please tell me what I have to do to get things right..."
He wanted to be considered a friend again, like when Monty had given him that gun and had even messed with him while proving who was the better archer. That's what Kalore wanted right now, what he needed right now. But Kalore didn't want a pity friend... He wanted what they had a couple days ago. Maybe more... But he wasn't going to push.

The demon slowly, very slowly, calmed down and sighed. Looking down he shook his head. "I want you to get better. No more neglecting yourself because of all that's happening to you. I know I'm the one at fault but I meant what I said. It wasn't out of a joke and I can't give you more than being your friend." Though him just saying that would spur the fates to do the unthinkable eventually. "I meant what I said last night at the club. You are my comrade and you are my friend even though it's wrong of me to not treat you like one." He said softly, still looking down with furrowed brows.

Kalore bite his lip and sighed, "Don't kill me for this okay? But you didn't answer me before..." Another sigh and Kalore just went for it, "Why'd you kiss me then? I'm not complaining, I'm not judging... But I really don't get it. It wasn't out of cruelty, but you don't like guys..." There was genuine confusion in his eyes as Kalore spoke to Monty. "I'm thankful for what you've been doing for me, Monty... So I'll try to take better care... Last night was just..." He didn't have words to describe what happened last night.

"Last night was last night. That idiot has no right to treat you like a damned toy since your a living, breathing being." He growled and glared at the wall. He still wanted to rip that Eri's head apart. That would have been a beautiful moment in his mind.
Sighing, he thought of how to pick the right words. "I wanted to see if...." Was he seriously thinking about admitting to something that he didn't fully understand? Did he have enough trust in Kalore to admit what was on his mind and what was inside? It was risky and he had to weigh in the pros and cons.

Kalore had a small smile on his lips at what Monty said about Eri. "Thank you... Most people don't see it that way with me..." But when Monty didn't continue on what he was saying, Kalore had a confused look on his face. "You wanted to see if... what?" He really hoped that Monty didn't think that he would judge him...
I've got no right to... I'm too messed up to have that right. But amazingly the thought didn't make the elf depressed. Instead, it spurred him to lean forward a bit, looking very... interesting there on his knees. Kalore didn't think anything of it, but he really was concerned with Monty. What did he want to see? If he actually cared about guys? To make sure that he didn't? I don't understand...

"I can't tell you." He said softly and clenching his teeth. He just couldn't tell Kalore that he was actually caring for him and it wasn't just the kind you give to a friend. It was starting to look towards the way he has been avoiding for a good while now.
"This is why I don't want you close to me. You end up getting disappointed and hurt. That is not what I want to do to you elf." Even though he already did it before. Some friend he was turning out to be.

Shoulders dropping slightly, Kalore sighed. Normally he would drop it for now and attack the subject later, but he didn't want to do that. Not this time. "Monty, please tell me. You kissed me for some reason and I kissed you to tell you it was okay." His eyes had finally gained the sharp look that Kalore always had. It also should have told Monty that Kalore wasn't going to drop this. Not this time.

Sighing softly he looked at Kalore from the corner of his eye. "Then forgive me." He said, even though he didn't deserve any form of it. "I did it because I wanted to see if what was forming was real." After thinking about it while working on his shed, he analyzed it. At that moment when he did kiss Kalore it was real and when he was working it was still there and still real. So, in other words, he was developing feelings for Kalore the stem far from friendship and going towards something more.
