That was a stupid question she was sure. Of course she wasn't okay, things were getting weird! Savryn let him pull her to her feet but tensed up as he started pawing at her in inspection making her first give a small giggle and flush again before she started fighting him on the aspect of it all. "Don't touch, just stop touching!" Said more frantically than angrily screaming at him, and stepping back from him.
Unfortunately for her, she should never walk backward as inevitably she was finding herself falling to the wood with a hard thud again as she tripped over something behind her in the way. Ow, more hurt...but at least he wasn't touching her and he was a little bit away from her. By anything holy below and above...what in the world? So she was content to lay there breathing heavily for the moment as she felt the heat evaporating from her cheeks with him not close anymore.

He really had no way of knowing how much time had passed since he had started to more maintenance on the crews weaponry, but enough time had passed that he was getting anxious for some time on the top deck. He looked over his work and was certain that he had finished more then a few days of work in that time. He smiled as he went back to the top deck, he knew that the Captain would soon have him scrubbing the decks with a small brush if he was caught taking a breather but he would deal with that punishment as it came.
It was only a short distance to the top decks and before he knew it, he was taking a seat on the edge of the ship, packing his pipe with almost black looking dry plant. He could never remember the name of the thing, but enjoyed the warmth that filled his lungs as he smoked it. In no time at all the pipe was held delicately between his lips and there was a small progression of tiny black puffs coming from the top of the pipe. It was ironic that a man that lived his life sucking in fumes at his job would do so as he relaxed.

Why was she yelling at him?! He hadn't grabbed her again and kissed her then shoved her away like she was poisonous. He watched her, still dazed, as she practically fell all over everything to get away from him. He knew he wasn't as experienced as his brother but he'd had no idea he was that bad of a kisser. Maybe he was misreading her? He'd thought he'd sensed attraction on her part but perhaps not. And that left him even more confused than before. He stared at her where she lay for a long moment, trying to decide if she'd just snap at him if he tried to help her up. But his mother's voice in his ear made his decision and he walked over and held out a hand. "Need some help or would you prefer to handle it yourself?"

Okay...this was turning out to be a not so fun day with too many things happening in it for her to keep up with. Her head was more or less spinning now...at least that oddness was going away, granted she had a feeling he was not going to let her live this down. "I think I broke my tailbone..." And why were things not nailed down on this stupid ship? That was it, she was going to lash everything to the walls. Ears twitched at his bootsteps vibrating through the wood of the ship and she could guess that a hand came with that question.
Reaching up it took her a few brief seconds before her fingers caught his and she used him to help herself up, quick to let go however once she was back up and keeping more or less too herself so that she didn't accidently bump him. "Sorry." What else did you say to this kind of thing anyway? Still sore from him crushing her too. He was not a light elf despite his look.

Helping her up, he couldn't help the direction his eyes went as she spoke of that particular area of her anatomy. Why in the hell was she doing this to him? He merely grunted at her apology, his pride way too bruised to risk saying anything lest he say something he'd later regret. "You could have just said 'don't kiss me again, Kelligrin.' Didn't have to do all of this." Crap, he'd gone and said something anyway. Well, too late to storm off now. He'd just stay and see how she reacted. With any luck she'd be pissed. He could handle her pissed and then she was predictable. It might cost him a pair of sore ears but that was better than her making him feel the way he had back there.

"I said, sorry." Oh shut up already Kelligrin. He could go dance in his victory or whatever it was he wanted to do. Not that she thought he had earned any victory but in his simple male mind she was sure that he was claiming it with all the glee he had. Striking a steel boot toe against the wood, her ears twitched to the sounds that came back to her in mapping and walked to the nearest hull wall, leaning back against it and sliding down to sit on the floor. Ow, stupid tailbone.

She was serious, wasn't she? "Sorry? My father often told me that word doesn't mean much and certainly doesn't do much to change things, therefore, it's better not even said." He really didn't think it was possible for his pride to be stomped anymore but she was just a mass of surprises, wasn't she? "Don't make it worse," he snapped and then turned back to the hammock, plopping down and crossing his arms. He should just stop trying.

"Your father is also a nut job. Remember that part?" Frowning at all the noise he was making and the tone in his voice. How come he was the one who was angry? She should be the angry one! She was the one who was all weirded out and had gotten crushed by his big heavy self as well! "Make what worse? I'm not the one kissing other people randomly just to prove points. You are."

His fists clenched and he glared. There was no need to be insulting. "And your father is a dictatorial b*****d but that doesn't negate what he says, now does it?" He shook his head and once again debated the wisdom of getting involved in this argument, but her next words sealed it. "Did you ever stop to think in that twisted little head of yours that maybe proving that damn point was just an excuse? Dammit, Savryn, don't play stupid with me. I don't appreciate it and it insults my intelligence as well as your own."

"No. Because that's just a stupid assumption to make. Why would you have any reason to want to kiss me? You think I'm all falling over for you like all the other pretty little waiffs of girls who you can simply walk up to and they'd have your babies if you asked them to? I'm playing anything but stupid, thank you very much. I'm playing in reality."

"It's no assumption; it's cold hard fact. I've never hidden the fact that I'm attracted to you, Vryn. I told you as much in the tent and you shut me down cold, remember?" Shaking his head and then giving a bark of laughter. "You must have me confused with my brother. It's he who can merely crook a finger and have all the pretty girls falling all over him. It's his baby all of them want to have. Not mine." He flopped back on the hammock and muttered softly, "I've never had much luck with females anyway." And he could stop feeling this way about her. It was just because he felt protective of her, that was all. "But since we're pointing fingers, why in the hell would you grab me and kiss me if you wanted nothing to do with me? I never pegged you for a tease."

"Oh please, don't give me that. You were playing your games that you boasted to be so good at, I merely played back. Rough, but that's how I play." He was being particularly infuriating at this point. "You're so busy playing you can't possibly understand anything deeper in words than their base meaning. And I'm not going to sit people down and explain how I work and what they have to do with me! It's insulting to who I am!"
And now she was getting upset, which wasn't fair. How come she was the one who had to be upset? Why the hell was she even getting upset? Oh that's right, bastards like him made being blind ten times worse because he didn't understand how the rest of it all worked. "Maybe because for a split second, you actually got what I've been trying to tell you and I thought why the hell not enjoy it. Stupid me." And that weird...hot feeling, but she had no idea what that was. Just that it had been there and with his distance it was gone. Getting herself up and kicking the side of the boat to get a read on things before heading up to the deck, the hull was stifling and so was he.
First with the drowning and then the sould swapping and the weird hot feelings and all of this on top of it was proving to be a horrible day. And to think she agreed to help him with this stupid dragon thing. They could all go to hell for all she cared. Hell she didn't even care to begin with! This plane was nothing but trouble. Perhaps her father was right and it was time to just laze about home for a while.

What was she yapping on about? He stared at her in frustration wondering why in the hell she couldn't ever just say what she meant and not couch everything in subtle hints and double entendres. Besides, it only made his small track record with the female race that much more glaringly disappointing, and frankly it was insulting. "No, stupid me."
Watching her leave, he shook his head in disgust and began pacing. He had one option left and it wasn't one he relished in using. Then again, it couldn't hurt to try, right? He didn't have a linkstone on him so he used the runes instead, sending a message through the panic rune on his own body that would be sure to reach his father through his little network. It was weird...Kelligrin didn't fully understand it but he'd learned a long time ago the best ways to get his father's attention. "Dad...got a minute? I need to talk to someone..."

The voice seemingly came out of the air around his ears, eerily enough. "You've got to remember linkstones, this cross planar thing gives me nosebleeds, then your mother hurts me. All that aside however, what's the matter?" he already knew something was wrong, or Kel would have waited till he got hold of more stable communication means.

"I had it but it was...damaged...in my last job." More like decimated but he didn't want to own up to that just yet. "I upset Savryn, but that's not really why I called you. She's acting weird...claims she has a fever but the only place she's warm is on her cheeks and even that's not constant. I'm a little worried about her..." he finished lamely, stifling the urge to pace.
