No offense Med, but, you are sounding like an outrageously biased little p***k. Do you know how many religions you're offending by speaking in that self-righteous tone? There are more than one religion and just because Christianity is the popular one doesn't make it the right one.

Seriously, I've never had a problem with you, and I don't even know if you ARE Christian, but, you're even offending me, and I'm FROM a Christian family. I may not be Christian myself, but I'm not parading my pagan beliefs as the All True Religion, and I'm sure you don't mean do, but Jesus Christ you are trying so hard.

If you're offended, defend yourself. It would be useless for me to defend another man's beliefs, wouldn't it? I don't know if you've noticed, but Christianity is not the popular world religion. People don't like it, because they don't like submitting to a higher authority beyond themselves.

If you know something that other people don't, it's kind of cruel for you to keep it to yourself for the sake of Fear that they won't accept it. Even LPS will tell you that Fear means moving backward. Don't be afraid that others won't accept your perspective, because you owe it to them to at least have them consider your beliefs as a possibility. Nobody has come to me and said, "I have a better idea!" so I figure mine's workin' out pretty well.
Seek out the Truth, because it will only aid you in the end, and you have to explore other peoples "truths" to do that. Can't do that if everybody is afraid to share, and you're the one holding yourself back by not knowing.

Maybe you should be parading your beliefs, because so far nobody has stopped me from doing the same, and I won't stop just because you're afraid of it.

A Buddhist Nun once said, "Fear is a reaction to coming closer to Truth". I think she was right, but she missed the second half: Once you've found the truth, you've no more reason to be afraid. 3nodding
Med, your religious parading doesn't offend me because I don't doubt my beliefs. It's your tone that is offending me. Your posts are visibly biased favorably in your opinion and yet you believe this to be a discussion. You are not being open minded. This is not a discussion. You are arguing.

argued, past participle; argued, past tense; argues, 3rd person singular present; arguing, present participle
1. Give reasons or cite evidence in support of an idea, action, or theory, typically with the aim of persuading others to share one's view

I will not argue about this subject with you out of respect, but I will call you on your bullshit.

I don't mean to come off as arguing, but, like I said, nobody has come to me with their opinions about anything other than My own faith. I would willingly lay down my beliefs to listen to yours, if you choose to begin sharing them. How can I be open-minded when nobody's given me the opportunity to analyze something else? I'll practice what I preach here, and willingly consider other viewpoints as Truth. If I can logically follow every point of that new viewpoint, than I would be more than willing to say, "Hey, thanks for letting me try it!"

Also, how come you're all okay with me until I start sharing something that's important to me? I feel like it's all well and good while I'm just going along with everybody else, and being goofy, which is fine, but as soon as I start getting into the things that really define who I am, it's not okay?
So have you just been Tolerating me since I joined the guild?

Med, this doesn't literally have anything to do with your religious argument going on. It's the fact that you're going into this with Preach Mode on lock. It just comes off as rude. D: Maybe you are right. Maybe the Mayans were right. Maybe Nietzsche is right. Maybe none of us are.

You're implying that acting like your personal opinions are superior to anyone else's and talking down to your friends is what defines who you really are. It's not, you're a nice guy. You've been here for almost a year, and I've never had a problem with you until now. It's your attitude towards this subject, not your personality. Your opinions and beliefs would never change the fact that I like you. No homo btw.

What are you afraid of? You're getting angry about this needlessly, for if you'd thought heavily about what you Know, you would be able to say your part and defend what you believe without being afraid of having to acknowledge God. If he doesn't exist, surely you've no reason to get upset, because you're the one who's been doing it right all along.
You very actively choose to deny God, which you have no reason to do if you truly believe he isn't out there waiting for you to talk to him. I've noticed in my lifetime, and you've seen evidence of this, that the only people who hate the Law and the ones who like to Defy it, the ones who are comfortable doing whatever they want in Spite of the rules. When the police come knocking on their door, they get angry, frustrated, violent, and lash out because they know what the law was, and that they shouldn't have broken it. But the people who follow the law have no reason to fear it, for they both acknowledge it's existence, and choose to live a 'better life' because of it, even if it means submitting to the higher authority for a time.

So I ask you again, what are you afraid of? Why are you lashing out? If you're right, you are right and you have no reason to be angry, because not Once throughout this discussion have I tried to force My beliefs on anybody. I have confidently defended myself when provoked, but I never told you or anybody in here to "go become a Christian or else you'll burn in the fires of hell", lol. I said it would be helpful to you to explore other possibilities, and even implored you to go explore every perspective, and not just mine. Where do you find the fault?

Med, this doesn't literally have anything to do with your religious argument going on. It's the fact that you're going into this with Preach Mode on lock. It just comes off as rude. neutral Maybe you are right.

I'm sorry I came off as rude, I promise that was never my intention. I do tend to be confident when it comes to my beliefs, and sometimes I just assume that everybody is that way....I really don't mean to offend.
But like I told Charchar, and LPS in the Deep Discussion thread: How do you know what's true, and what will Really work the best for you, unless you're given a chance to both Explore other possibilities, and choose which ones really are the best? How do you know that you've tasted every colored jelly bean unless you check out how many colors there actually are? lol

I didn't come here to prove you all wrong. I came here to allow you to prove me wrong by using your own beliefs and ideas in the process. It's supposed to be a completely fair game, but it requires both parties to be confident in what they know, and willing to let others try and poke holes in their own logic. I have been more than willing to let other people poke holes in my own, but I've defended them because I understand something about that principle that they may not have considered before. As an Artist, I naturally tend to see things that others don't, so I feel that if someone is trying to poke a hole in my own beliefs, maybe it's because they haven't actually looked at it from every angle, and it would be sort of anti-productive of me Not to show you the angle by which I understand it, and have confidence in it because of that. In that process, I have been overzealous, and you all have my deepest apologies because of it.

But I really would like a fair 'opponent' in this 'game', if we're calling it that; somebody who will step up to the plate because they're so confident in what they know that they can't be proven wrong. It worries me that everybody in here is pretending to be clueless, and basically calling me something worse than a Troll, just because I'm trying to empower some fair-sparring partners. My intention isn't to cut everybody down, it's to allow yourself to recognize a possible weakness in your defenses so that you have the fair ability to strengthen that area up, and I'm more than willing to allow others to do the same to me. Cut me, rip me open, and show me where I'm weak so that I, on my own, can learn to at least defend myself; you'd be doing me a huge favor.
We can all learn from each other, but we have to be willing to give each other a chance, eh? I've confidently decided to be the first sparring-dummy. Nobody else has to do the same, but it can't rightly be called "sparring" if it's just the Dummy in the field.

That make sense?

Med, just, read that over.

You can't prove someone wrong with beliefs. It doesn't work like that. You prove someone wrong with facts. You share beliefs to learn more about another person, not to prove who's right or wrong.

I wouldn't try to prove you wrong with my beliefs. Correction, I don't want to. It's cruel to you to try and prove to you that you're wrong about something that gives you hope just as it's cruel to me to ask to.

I don't want to argue with you about your faith. Faith is what gives humans hope. It's why I respect religion and the people who follow it.
So after this, I wont say any more. I'm not going to reference this, I am not going to dwell on it. I still like you, this wouldn't change it for anyone, and I hope you can do the same to me as well.

I just really don't like religious discussions because it's something that everyone is passionate about, and it's really hard to discuss with passion.

Body, you are tired. Mind, you are tired. You both clearly want to sleep. So... Y U NO SLEEP?

I swear, I spend more time lying in bed trying to be unconscious than I actually do unconscious.

And I've even shut my worry mode off completely now! What gives?

I wish I could find a sleep meditation juuuust loud enough to listen to through speakers. The headphones are uncomfortable and that is probably not helping.

I want to League until I am completely and definitely exhausted, but I am already too tired to be able to focus on it.

I have no future right now.

I am literally in Limbo. My life's direction is severely skewed because of a dumb mistake.

I am scared out of my mind. I have cried while driving today and swerved repeatedly, contemplating a car accident on purposeful intentions to incapacitate myself. Said Nah. Wiped eyes. Kept goin.

Know what I did when I got home?

Played Dragon Quest IX and thought no more of it till now.

Or, more likely, because they believe said "higher authority" doesn't even exist. Also, kind of hard to buy into the whole "free will" and "loves all his children" jazz when people like you say "submit."

One of the problems with this is terminology. It isn't "submitting" out of a sense of being ordered to, but rather simply humbling yourself in the acknowledgement of their existence. You'd be pretty humble too if you stood before a being that was responsible for your very existence as well as that of everything around you, one who could remove you from time and space but chooses instead to simply love you and hope you love back.

The moment God comes down from the heavens, smacks me in the face and calls me a b***h, then I'll be believing and humble. Until then, I don't think he exists. There's too much bullshit in the world and too many conflicting faiths for me to even believe such a being even exists. The whole evolution thing is more my cup of tea, thank you very much.
xd
Sorry, didn't mean to sound like I was arguing for one side or the other. Just trying to promote understanding.

I'm going list my iPod apps, and why/how I use them.
Because, as I said in the Spamthread, I like lists, and It's a thought I'm having right now.
I'll Categorize them:

"iPod Officials" (Can't delete)
- Safari - Don't use so much. If I really need to google something in a bind.
- Photos, Calendar, Notes, Calculator, Contacts, Map, Clock, E-Mail - Don't use. They're there, and I'm stuck with them.
- Settings - Duh

"Not-Games, but still Important to me"
- xkcd - For no reason do I have this. I read xkcd online, but sometimes, for a chuckle, when I'm offline, I'll rando-comic it.
- Google Earth - I like browsing Google Earth. Street layouts amuse me.
- Bump - ?
- facebook - I don't use this. But I feel like if I deleted it, I'd need it.
- Netflix - You'd be surprised how well Instant streams to an iPod
- imdb - imbd is like tvtropes, or... crack... for me. I love reading actor trivia, and seeing what movies people were in with other people and ugh..
- Twitter - I use my phone now. I odn't need this.

"Apps"
- iHandy Level - I have this for the irony. When I heard there was a "Level" app, I freaked out, and it's a running joke with me.
- Pokedex - I use this alot, when I play Pokemon. It has All the Pokemon, Levels, Moves, TMs, Evolutions, Etc.
- Easy MSN, GBC4iPhone, Awesome Button - Dont' use alot, but sometimes
- ColorSplash - A cool photoediting program I bought for 2 bucks
- iAmbigram - Makes Ambigrams. Way cool.
- APPZILLA - 100 apps (Calc, Coin Flip, Random Number, and a bunch of other pseudo-useful s**t)

"Games I bought with Christmas Gifts iTunes Gift Cards"
- The Sims (7.99) - ******** bought this s**t by accident and I hate my life.
- Bejewled Blitz 2 (2.99) - First App ever. It's fun.
- Family Fued (.99) - I like the game, and it was on sale
- Robot Unicorn (2.99) Most played for a while. I like it. It's a game, I can't "Justify" games, past "I like it"
- Cut The Rope (.99) Tried it, liked it, bought it, didn't like it so much.
- Words with Friends (1.99) Scrabble, online. I love Scrabble. My friends play the Free version, but I hate popup ads
- Doodle Jump (.99) HPSpells(2.99), Glass Tower (.99) Don't play anymore
- Angry Birds (.99) I heard everyone rave about it, but I was like "What's the big deal?" Then I played it, and found out what the big deal was.
- Akinator (1.99) Sometimes I like to want to kill myself. .-.
- Mortal Kombat 3 (2.99) Best 3 dollars ever spent. EVER.

"Games I pick up every few weeks and play for an hour, then stop"
Aka: "I'm too lazy to delete s**t so I throw them over there"
- Fall Down -Lightsaber Battle -Gamebox 1 -WeRule -Steampunk Air Hockey -Mancala -Ovenbreak -DoodleDevil -BurnTheRope

Oh right, and cause its' an iPod.
"Pandora" - Cause ******** you 40 hours a month. UGH.
But I use Pandora a lot.

Sorry if this is tldr, or you just frankly.. don't... care...
But I felt like typing it.

Sucks though. D; That is one thing I do not like about portable consoles and RPGs. There isn't always a save point nearby.
