We've been putting up a real tree for as long as I can remember. I can't remember a time when we didn't use a real tree.
LJ that's why you put them up where the little munchkins can't reach them lol

Oh they will find a way to reach them. I know them. They'd put chairs on top of their play table or try to climb up the window if they really want it. They're little monkeys.

I grew up with real trees until two years ago. While I despise having a fake one with it's lack of pine scent, I can't deny the fact that it is much less of a hassle to put up and down and leaves less mess.
@ Mariana: I know a person with 8% body fat. He's like my twin, only he has more hair and is pure muscle. stare I hate him.

People around my town who decorate their houses for Christmas before Halloween/Thanksgiving piss me off. I don't like snow and cold and everything as such that associates with Christmas/December, for I am small in nature and do not retain body heat in the slightest. Besides when I celebrate turkey day all I want to think about is turkeys NOT the coming winter months.
This Christmas is gonna suck, and that fact sucks since it's Desire's first. All because the mother of her brothers feels threatened by my presence. She almost ruined Thanksgiving too, but she's got to work during the family dinner, so yay.
My family isn't picky when it comes to real vs fake trees. But we are BIG ornament people. We get a new one every year and minimize the use of the bulb ornaments.
Garland is my favorite decoration. heart

Well how do you think I feel? I'm the Californian in the nice and chilly(alright so it's not THAT cold here) East. I'm stuck wearing four jackets, two shirts, and maybe an extra undershirt.
BTW, long time no see Cln4evr. At least, it's been a while since we've chatted. And I agree with you on the whole Christmas stuff in November thing.

no kidding revan, how u been? i saw your mini-return through the rp pages, but didn't get a chance to say anything. Here's a video from youtube you'll enjoy. Lewis Black on ChristmasAnd for the record, I was raised in San Antonio, where it rarely drops below 40. Now I'm stuck in central Kentucky where it freakin snowed last week! And for my junior prom (May 2005) Mother Nature decided to give us three inches of SNOW! Snow in May. That's messed up.

lol.
I'm in CA...northern CA...
And it changed from being warm to being chilly really quick where I am. The only thing...I actually like the cold outside. I mean at least you get to layer up and put on the heater...
where as, in the heat you better hope you have some form of cooling and there's only so many layers you can take off...

Oh God. That reminds me of the day it was 85 degrees outside and, for about half an hour, it snowed. Mind you this was years ago. Anyways, needless to say, we got out of school expecting it to be cold. Cold wind, and 70 degrees... doesn't sound bad right? 80% humidity.
And then if that's not bad enough, Fall and Winter sometimes like to act like Summer. Where it'll randomly be 80 degrees for no reason.
Oh and before I forget... It should be changed to Christmas Halftime! xd

It's all what you're used to. I can't stand hot weather personally. I loathe the summer. 75 and below is ideal for me. wink
And my holiday mirth is going to drive you guys insane. I love Christmas. I hate Christmas commercialism. But I love what Christmas is supposed to be.

Meh, Christmas spirit isn't really my issue. It's the commercialism like you had said LJ.
And now I digress. You two remember the Christmas in July event? I can't waiting for that! Rajan never got to throw his flaming snowball of doom at anyone. And he never had his temper*ature* tantrum.

Did anybody buy the new Nickelback CD yet? I'm kinda running a poll between men and women who see how liked it. Most females I know didn't and most males I know did. wink
