((Stoic, how about Kusanagi or Svalin?))
The tension grew thick as butter as each of the bound creatures approached the rim of the arena. The dragons were spread evenly around it. Tura growled softly as she crouched, watching each of the dragons with care and trying her best to predict their first moves. Brantalis stood with the group of combatants, his face an indifferent mask as they were about to begin. The weasel-like man held up a red flag, a sign that all should be ready. Vilya held her breath and closed her eyes, moving her fingers down to the stone embedded in the hilt of her scimitar. She found Tura's mind and brushed against it gently with her own. A strange sensation came over her as she found she was looking through the gryphon's eyes. It was a vibrant and beautiful wash of colors and shapes, sharper than Vilya could ever imagine. She could pick out individual scales on the bodies of the dragons on the other side of the arena. Tura looked towards the flag. All at once the flag came down and Tura was out and over the edge of the cliff, wings spread and angled for a dive.

((Svalin is the fire drakeling? I think I can do that. I'd rather not control something large and slow, is not my style at all.)) Sai had left the band with the binding stone in it with Stratus who had tied the band to his own rear leg at the ankle before moving to the inside edge of the crater. Sai stood at the rim of the battlefield and watched as Vilya reached a hand to the binding stone embedded in the hilt of her sword. Almost the instant she did her eyes glazed over and she gained an incredibly vacant expression. Sai followed suit and touched his fingertips to the crimson stone that he wore in a braided necklace. The moment his fingertips made contact with smooth red surface of the stone he was staring out across the battlefield through Stratus' eyes. everything was crystal clear, even the colors were more detailed than through his own eyes. Sai thought to himself, though Stratus heard it anyways.
Together the two of them watched, through one set of eyes, as Brantalis' assistant raised the red flag and then swung it back down to the ground.
Stratus leaped forward and dug his claws into the side of the nearest of the stone columns. He hurriedly climbed up to the top and them leaped off again. As he threw himself into the air he spread his large feathered wings and caught the air. A few flaps and he was soaring above the crater, waiting for opponent to make himself available for attack.
Sai watched all of this through Stratus eyes and began gathering up his will and his energy, he knew that he would need them soon. He was not sure what the serpent dragon was capable of, but he doubted it would be a fair fight unless he gave Stratus some assistance.
The fire drakeling, Svalin, stood ready for the flag to drop, once it did he stood his ground. He had discussed what to do in a battle like this with the other drakes. They had suggested that the combatants may attempt to take advantage of his somewhat smaller size and his lack of experience to thin the ranks quickly. So, to counteract a plan such as that, he remained where he was, right next to Kusanagi.

Riona had finished her errands pretty quickly. Standing now in her yard overlooking the crops, she looked up into the guy. It was a beautiful day. Perfect for flying.
"Acacia!"
Said the horse as she came into view from her stable.
"What do you say we go flying around a bit? Explore some of the scenery and stuff. It's perfect weather today!"
Acacia looked up at the sky and smiled.
"All right then! I'll just gather some things and we can get going."

Raidek sat on the ground of the designated area, almost as if about to meditate, closing his eyes, he ran his hand over his face, the black stone grazing over his forehead.
As he opened his eyes, Fenrir had his were the same. The colors of the surroundings dulled, but clearer. How odd, he thought, for his hearing became crisper, able to hear the breathing of the dragons, the shifting of the grass around and in the arena, the water below that, as well as the faint shifting of ground as Vix moved in earth.
Fenrir looked around the arena, moving about calmly, saving his energy for when the dragons themselves would begin the fight, and from there he would charge straight for the large dragon, for Kusanagi.

Kin kept his same vigilant eye sight as he was not in possession of such an item to share the same sight with Vix. Not to mention Kin would not like to lessen his own eye sight for a match. Kin asked, making sure things were clear to Vix.
Vix replied, circling a specified area under the earth.
"We're ready." Kin said quietly to Minatsuki.

((Azure, You have one of the stones too. The ones that let you see through your creature's eyes. The sage gave them to all combatants. Because it's a traditional battle the combatants aren't allowed on the field, and the field's so big it's hard to keep track of the creatures from just one vantage point. But no one said Kin had to use it 3nodding )) Quellar the earth dragon wasted no time, he knew exactly who his target was. Like lighting he was down under the earth, burrowing straight for the serpent also concealed beneath the ground. Like Vix he could feel the vibrations under the ground, but he had another ability. As a bat throws sound waves to better see in the pitch of night, so Quellar sent out a series of waves which told him precisely where things were underground. Once he was close to the target the dragon sage sent him a spell; The heat around the dragon suddenly began to seep out of the stone. The temperature began to drop very quickly. Cold crept in a circle around him as he neared Vix. The heat stolen from his surroundings flowed into his thick, bulky body, keeping him warm and allowing him to move without difficulty. Cold-blooded creatures it is known slow down significantly when temperatures drop. It was this that the sage intended to use against the serpent. Tura and Vilya saw Stratus hold back. Vilya called to Sai, she hoped that he could hear her through the mind-link Tura had with the feathered dragon. She and Tura had reached their target soon after, Lessir as they had predicted was heading straight for Asako. She would not reach her.
The wind caught Lessir off guard and drove her to the ground, unable to fly to her opponent she turned to face the black gryphon with a hiss. Vilya said. Tura was forced to dodge suddenly as Lessir sent a jet of water in her direction. The jet connected with the edge of her wing and snapped the tip of one feather clean off. The gryphon growled sarcastically.
Chi-linn Dove down into the arena, sliding around the tall pillars with no difficulty at all. Kusanagi took flight, rising into the sky he circled round, angling his great wings toward the easterly side of the arena, where the waterways were most abundant. He said to the old sage.

Raidek smirked. Both of them watched as the large Kusanagi took flight.
Fenrir turned toward Vilya, Tura, and Lessir.
Fenrir quickly became covered with an icy armor as he moved toward Lessir, moving into a charge.
What sounded almost like thunder erupted from the spot that Fenrir had been at the moment the spell was cast. It was a modified speed boost that used wind as well, multiplying the speed that it was at, while charging. However, the speed was not permanent, once the momentum was lost it would not be able to be regained without using the spell again.
It would be a matter of moments before Fenrir would be have his head into Lessir, as the dragon would certainly not have time to get out of the way, and the streamlined shape of Fenrir's icy armor would allow him to move right through a blast of water in an form, if even the dragon would be able to pull of such a maneuver in this short amount of time.
Certainly, more of a matter of when it hit, rather than when if it hit. The force would be more than enough to deliver a earth shattering blow to the dragon, and would effectively destroy Fenrir's icy armor with little recoil.

((Mind if I try controlling Lessir? I will erase the bottom portion if anyone would like to protest... Though I think it would be far more interesting if we just control whatever dragon available that the writer is not battling, hehehehe... xd ))
The stone now dangling on Asako's neck, and Minatsuki's neck, allowed their minds to connect, though the combatant and the creature never neded such a physical means to tie a bond; it was always natural for one to comtemplate the other's thoughts and act accordingly.
Minatsuki, simply thought, and Asako took off towards him as if she was Minatsuki herself. With only couple of beats, the pheonix made it across the field towards the fire dragon, glancing back at Lessir with a smirk. As Asako's mind concentrated on maneuvering her own body, Minatsuki's mind drifted more towards below the bird, taking in the mental image recieved and the visual image seen, putting the two together. Though a thought of speed spell went through Minatsuki's mind, it was quickly dismissed by Asako telling her save it for Kusanagi.
Floating in a good distance where the two would have a good room to move, Asako stopped and called out to the young dragon, provocating him with few puffs of fire from her beaks.
A smirk, a huge flare of fire that almost reached Svalin, and a sharp chirp of laugh burst from Asako, stirring up the tension further. What she wanted was a fire breath battle, and she knew she would get it if you anger one enough.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
With a thunderous sound, Fenrir impacted against Lessir, but within the split second that she had spotted the flash of color, she was able to maneuver her body so that the impact would be against the thicker part of her scales. The ice did not pierce the scales, but it left a burning sensation on her back.
Though the damage had been done, the attack had freed her from the wind spell and threw her against one of the pillars where she had sensed a very weak stream of water running up the pillar. With a loud noise, a line of crack began to spread from the pillar, and the small stream of water, not big enough to be of any help but enough to bring her back into the game, began to flow out of the crack, dropping against the scale of dragon. Lessir was able to shake away the pain by the coolness of the water, though still dumbfounded, and quickly began to snap out of the shock.
She quickly recovered, ignoring the pain with the cool touch of water, and set out a jet stream, more fast and furious than the previous, towards the source of her pain, Fenrir. As the stream of water flew towards the wolf, it began to divide up into several strings of thinnger but sharper water, some heading towards Fenrir and some towards the ground around him.

((Blood, for future reference the spell doesn't create any light, just the thunderous sound. And I'm not saying that seeing light would have been out of the question at that point in time, its possible and likely you would've seen the reflection of light off the ice armor that was on Fenrir at the time.)) As soon as Lessir had been knocked back against the pillar, Fenrir was charging again.
A helmet of smooth rock appeared to grow around Fenrir's head. Continuing to charge, watching as the jet stream was sent out towards him.
Fenrir lept into the air, over the tiny jet streams that had formed and however long they were would no longer matter as Raidek waited only long enough before saying the spell that Fenrir would fire like a bullet towards Lessir's head.
Fenrir was shot forward with thunderous noise rattling the arena, with only a split second to pull of another spell, A strong gust of wind, pushed against Lessir's head, only enough however to adjust the its angle, exposing the bottom of Lessir's jaw to Fenrir's attack, just before he would hit.

Svalin, the fire drake, had risen into the air alongside Kusanagi. He had no intentions of allowing these combatants and their partners to thin him from the ranks of Brantalis' dragon team. He glided alongside Kusanagi, occasionally flapping his wings to keep himself aloft. He heard as the phoenix called to him with her mind and chose not to react. He watched without fear as the flaming bird flared its fiery plumage at him and all around attempted to provoke him into a single confrontation. He snorted in her direction, small tufts of flame expelling from his nostrils along with the exhalation.
Stratus watched when his original target, Chi-linn, dove down amongst the pillars within the crater. He knew he could not follow there because of his wingspan and immediately altered his course to take him to Kusanagi and Svalin. Asako was already harassing the fire drake, attempting to provoke into single combat. Unfortunately that left Stratus with Kusanagi, A dragon that he knew he would never be able to defeat alone.
Sai thought, having sensed Stratus own thoughts and emotions.
Stratus thought, and Sai could feel his confidence return with abundance.
Stratus angled around Kusanagi so that he would be coming at him from the side opposite Svalin, He did not want to be overpowered and outnumbered at the same time. He glided forth and then flew upwards, talons extended and ready to rip into the soft flesh of the massive dragons wings.

((Lessir's all yours Mina, don't let her go down too quickly blaugh , As for Azure's observation...magic. The sage would need to know about everyone who is involved in the battle right? Quellar would be able to spot him and tell his master, in truth, I didn't really think it through. sweatdrop Mina, Stoic, I think you should also give the spells to help the dragons your controlling, even though I've got Brantalis. It will make things much simpler.)) Quellar paused, he seemed confused by the Vix duplicates, and by the fact that none of them were slowing like he expected them to. He cast out even further with his earthsight and called back to the sage for help.
Quellar without hesitation raced for his ally. He knew not what was going on at the surface but when his master gave him a spell he put it to work without question.
The earth dragon's scales were already harder than most, but combined with the shielding spell they were a solid barrier. As the sage instructed he burrowed straight up the pillar Lessir was backed up to. He made a small hole to look out from and saw Fenrir's second atttack, and Lessir stunned and vulnerable. In an instant he leapt from the pillar, straight into Fenrir's rock-armored charge, head lowered and ready for the incredible impact.Tura and Vilya watched as Fenrir's first blow connected with Lessir's side. Upon Vilya's instruction Tura produced a tiny ball of electric energy and kept it in one closed talon to use when the opportunity came. It was Vilya who first spotted the earth dragon as a small piece of the pillar crumbled and fell away. As Fenrir came around for a second attack she saw him leap from his hiding place. Tura was about to turn away, Fenrir had created the the perfect opportunity to strike, even if it was not he who landed the blow. The spell had not come from her but Vilya! At once a strong ball of air shot towards Quellar, knocking him off course ever so slightly. However small, it was enough to save the wolf from the full impact of Quellar's diamond hard skull.

Damnit, he didn't go after my doubles. Kin thought. Vix snuck close to Lessir, bursting out of the soil with his mouth wide as it displayed fangs of poison. Vix's quick leap from the earth, he neared Lessir's leg in attempt to bite.

Fenrir saw the earth dragon jump from the pillar to take the hit, though unable to change his course, the attack would still have an effect. However, it would do little more than knock the dragon back, leaving Fenrir at most shaken.
Seeing that the earth dragon was knocked off course slightly, he would hit Quellar's head partially, knocking off a small piece of the rock helm, but he was ricocheted and shot past Lessir and the pillar the dragon was against.
The wolf aligned himself with a pillar, litterally running up it with ease and pushing off at the top. Doing a backflip over the pillar that Lessir was against and seeing the two dragons below. Seeing what would be Vix getting closer to Lessir in an attempt to bite, and poison it.
A fiery blast shot toward Quellar with molten heat. The last time Raidek had used the spell it was to make a tunnel through a mountain so his village could esacape. If it wouldn't hurt Quellar, it would certainly melt the ground beneath Quellar and would drop him down into the earth, so that he was more than emmersed in its soon to be molten walls.
