If we have an NAP with someone, we really should honour it. But maybe if we find someone inactive, we can ignore it; it's not like they will be using the resources if they haven't been on in a week.

Willfully disregarding pacts was not what I was attempting to suggest. I was just curious how diligently we should be watching for new developments on the alliance homepage, and trying to decide if infrequent check-ups with investigation if necessary would be a tolerable course of action, or if I should be more active than passive on the matter.

I'm trying to figure out how to respond to this, as he is decently profitable.
But as he *is* a Gaul, he'll just cranny up, and then I have to get off my a** and get my Siege shop up to the level for Catapaults and all that...
But at the same time, part of me wants to keep smashing him, as he started his own alliance, despite being in the middle of a Berserk, RDA and DTK alliance area.
He's *asking* to be smashed, and i'd rather have the resources myself than let the others get 'em.

Ask for tribute, based off his total population. For every 50 people in his city/village, request 100 of each resource per week. It's not AS profitable as raiding, but it keeps him around, and you can use your troops for other things.

Anyone know if the Main Building upgrades reduce the time for Resource fields too?

Balcerzak Welcome back, by the way. Did your village learn how to grow crops in your absence? Funny you should mention that. I got back and my people were talking about this 'farming' or whatnot. But we apparently have a lot of food, so I figured I would throw a banquet or some such to improve morale. Then I need to yell at Arcadian for having some of the smaller children have the option of not joining the army. evil
