I think thast watching things in Japanese really helps because in school Japanese they mostly teach you formal speaking, so everyday conversational phrases aren't taught as much. Like there's...5 ways to say thank you, I think. Very informal, informal, normal, very thankful, and the politest and very long way...
I can read things, but usually, since I'm focusing on reading the characters, sometimes I have a hard time putting it in a fluent statement coherently so I sound like a dork... sweatdrop

its like that everywhere pretty much, I know in my school its really funny because I no longer take english. So I took mythlogy and the teacher doesnt teach you anything formal, if anything he talks slang. So I'm always correcting him and getting upset with him. LOL i dont know why XD

Down here, a lot of people talk in this slang language. I can understand, but I can't speak it for the life of me. I sound so fake and weird... neutral Honestly...

Hawaii is like the rest of the US, so generally everyone can speak english. There may be a few people here and there that aren't fluent all the way, but yeah, everyone speaks English.
English is the only language I can speak completely fluently anyway...

If you want to visit Hawaii you should go right after spring, so in the beggining of summer when it's not that hot yet. because the winter is really rainy and cold, fall is windy and cloudy most of the time, and spring is okay but it tends to rain randomly a lot....kind of like today it was rainy one minute and then five minutes later it was sunny and not a cloud in the sky lol....only in hawaii...lol

Hmmmm...I'm not totally the best person to ask. Honestly, even though I only live on a small island, I'm so sheltered I can get lost on it. Your safest bet would be to ask Miyuki-chan. It also depends which island you want to go to. Most people go to Oahu because it's the most populated one and is the main island, I guess if you want to phrase it that way...

Hi Hi! um...if you go to Oahu then i would say check out Waikiki, Alamoana, North Shore, Waikiki beach, Alamona beach park, turtle bay, and maybe to hiking on the east side. Lots of shopping at Ward Center and Alamoana Shopping Center....hhehe
um...if you go to the Big Island [Hawaii] then you should go see the volcano, hiking, and there is a lot of sight seeing.
Um...if you go to the other islands say Maui you can go to the Maui Ocean Center and there is a bunch of stuff to do there.
lol hope that helps a bit. I've only been to Oahu, the Big Island, and Maui.

...I thought Ala Moana was two words?
No Diamond Head hiking?
Well I've never hiked Diamond Head anyway...
Thank you, my dear. I think you've been a lot more helpful than I could've ever been...
