"The barrier between us was weak, Leif sleeps once in two days. The barrier was always weakest when he has not slept. We bumped into the necromancer, and I was able to free myself by using a portion of his powers to destroy the barrier completely. I wanted to make the earth shake as I was ment to. Then we were followed back to our home, and the necromancy attacked us. I was able to completely over take Leif's concious mind and beat all threats into submission. I receeded to cause as little damage as possible to the concious and the body. Leif followed because, as always, he was curious." The other mumbled all this as though he were sleep talking, only he very, very clearly annunciated his words.

"Ah...." Shadi murmurd, looking slightly troubled. "I'll... I'll take care of Ger... or... well, I'll try. I'm not sure what that's worth, but it's the best I can do. When... when Ger sets his mind on something, he never quits. But I don't believe that you're in any danger from him..." he said slowly, looking thoughtful. He frowned softly, deep blue gaze shifting to focus back on the other mage. It felt strange to be talking only the the Magic - the alter ego that had been split from the mage's conscious mentallity. "You know... it's unhealthy to have this split. Try not to over do it... alright?"

"He's still far too fragile to merge with just yet... There was an accident some years back, when we were whole. His house sank into the earth with his family inside. He wasn't prepared to accept power in that circumstance, and so I was repressed and he ran away." The power explained this all matter of factly, but with a warm, caring undertone that was akin to the comforting, parental feeling you'd expect from an earth element. It had been inherient in Leif before the 'split', but had been assigned to be associated with his power. The mind did strange things when under stress, strange things to cope with tradgedy, or change. While it was unhealthy, it had probably kept Leif from even less healthy options, like suicide.

"I suppose we all... well, most of us - us mages, that is - have histories akin to that...." he mumbled, looking a little troubled. He didn't like all this pain... all this horrible loss and suffering. There had been enough of that in his own childhood. But now... now that he had Ger... he would never be alone. He would never have to be hurt. Or... so he hoped.

"Its ok. He doesn't remember. Not completely. He's not ready yet. I don't think he'll ever be." The power chattered on. Really, it was quite an amiable little personality disorder. He thought the kid was cute and didn't mind sharing a bit of conversation with him. Especially since it had been so long since he'd been able to stretch his tenderils of power and even longer since Leif himself had gotten the benifit of normal human contact. He was a flighty devil. He was plagued with nightmares of hurting people he cared about. Its ok now, though. As long as the power had a bit of conciousness in him, he could be controlled. At least a little bit.

Youkais Tigerboy "You really think so. But..I don't know any pyromancer, especially none that have any exceptional talent. At least as far as I know I don't." He sighed and returned to the couch. Looking up at Shiyaa he asked, with a genuinely interested look in his eyes."Shiyaa, do you know any pyromancers with the skill to thaw somoene whose been frozen?" "How long has he been frozen?" Kuno asked softly. I still don't know if I trust them enough to allow them to know I'm a mage....but if his friend is frozen and may die....I'll gladly share my secrets if I can save anyone.... Kuno thought.

Shiyaa shrugged, " I'm the only pyromancer I know.....I might be able to, though..." He sighed, " I do have quite a bit of control over my powers, I just don't like attacking with them..." He sighed again, running a hand through his long hair.

Nolas From the corner of his eye, Skyy could have swore he saw Kalen watching him as he swallowed the mouthful of beer. But by the time he actually brought his full attention to the other, the red-head's gaze was downcast. As he often did, he blamed the supposably false thought on his imagination. "Whatever interests me most of the time. Anything that truly catches my eyes' attention," he said. "But if I'm asked to cover a certain event, being the kind-hearted person I am, I take the time to snap a few.. If I feel like it." Kalen nodded and took a long drink from his own bottle. Setting the now half-drained bottle between his legs, a shiver ran up his spine. Cold. He gave a little shudder and began rubbing one of his arms trying to create heat with friction. He was running out of energy and the single candle hardly provided any heat. It had to have been over an hour since the central heating to his apartment went with the power outage. Kalen was going to have to do something quickly to get away from Skyy if the power didn't come on. There was one survival technique he knew how to use. He could absorb heat from other humans. But... if Kalen was this cold, he didn't know if he'd be able to control how much heat he took from the photographer. And if Skyy was just a normal human, Kalen might kill him by accident.
The pyromancer shivered again. "What d'you think the chances are the heat'll come back on this time of night?" he asked, a little shakily.

"Well.. It's on a late winter night, obviously freezing outside. If I were one of the guys who had to fix the power lines, I wouldn't even bother tonight. No. Me? I'd be curled up in my nice warm bed," Skyy explained, eyeing Kalen. "In other words, I'm thinking not a very good chance at all. Why? This cold getting to you a bit too much?" He would have expected the alcohol to have warmed the boy up by now. The uneasiness he could hear in the other's voice caused him to begin to worry. Maybe this anemia thing was more serious than he thought.

Kalen was met with the disappointment of a negative answer. He was having shivers come over his body with increasing frequency now. He finished the beer with a final, long swig and sat it on the floor. "A bit," he admitted to Skyy. But Kalen knew very well the cold was getting to him more than just 'a bit'. He tried to shrug himself further under the shared blanket without touching the young photographer.

"It's only been about three months now. I've been to see him everyday since it happened, hoping he might have changed...even a little for the better." he spoke just loud enough for Kuno to hear him. He looked to Shiyaa again."I know the feeling. I don't like fighting, but...I will if I have to. Damon had promised to teach me to control my magic, so if we had to fight, I could help. I used to run and hide, because I couldn't help any. I'm no homeomancer, but He taught me that I can use my powers to heal, very minor wounds...like cuts and srapes, but that's all I could do was take care of him afterwards."

I did something INCREDIBLY stupid.
So I went and shot my roll of film for a photo project (I'm taking a beginning photography course in school) and I get all the way through it and I load it and everything just fine... and I rewound it the wrong way so when I opened it I exposed like three pics or so... so I'm kinda pissed about that. Dx Rawr.))
Shadi nodded slowly. "So... apart from being his magic... you're basically his phsyciatrist?" he asked slowly, his expression slightly quizical. He didn't intend any malace - the way he said it made it a mere question, nothing more. "That's... it's kinda funny," he said with a small funny. However, he didn't laugh - not even the smallest bit. Shadi hadn't laughed in... quite a while, to say the least.

Skyy's brow knitted in concern, seeing Kalen's body shaking. He doubted it would get any better, either. Not while the power was off, and he knew there was nothing, even with his powers, he could do to make it come back on. "Hey, you think you're going to be alright?" he asked, reaching a hand out to place upon the other's shoulder. Even through his shielding shirt, he could tell the boy was cold.

Kalen felt his body temperature beginning to slowly decline. Azure eyes drunkenly focused and unfocused on the small tongue of flame given from the candle. And the Kalen felt a single, focal point of heat upon his shoulder. Thoughts of how sharing body heat would impact Skyy seemed to fade from his mind, as the pyromancer absorbed that feeling into his shoulder from the small connection made.
His gaze shifted from the candle to the boy beside him. Lord knew how much alcohol was intoxicating his system. But Kalen reached up a hand from under the blanket and pulled on the hand that resided on his shoulder. He meant to tug the dark-haired teen closer.

Skyy's first thought was to repel. To pull away from that cool hand that urged him closer.. But he didn't. In fact, he did quite the opposite, being tugged inches forward. God, Kalen was awfully cold, he noted. Maybe, just maybe.. he could help the boy out. Or, at least, his drunkened mind was leading him to believe. Body heat was the best type of warmth afterall, right? His slightly glazed eyes roamed over that face, not so far away from his own. This would be his good deed, he told him.
And with that, Skyy closed the short distance between them, pressing his lips against Kalen's own.
