I agree with him. He misses her alot. Im not saying he doesn't care for tifa, but i think he liked aeris way more.

um ya right have you guys even seen the movie in it he so tottlay said the one i loved is now in the life stream but is stil with me in my heart and mind and her name is aerith but you might not wanna see that cuz i spoiled something maybe but i love the movie im glad i can understand japanese

I really don't think that he liked Tifa romantically. Maybe when he was a child, but he seemed to care more for Aerith in the events of the game.

He never loved or liked anyone, the only reason they made a sort of love connection between Cloud and Aerith/Tifa was for the date at the Gold Saucer and so it would be more dramatic when Aerith died. But, he did like Aerith more, because he has more,'love points' with her in the begining becuz he's supposed to be wit her at gold saucer

I think he liked Aeris but once she was dead he was pretty confused and ended up liking Tifa later on.

Actually, I personally think that Cloud did start to like Aeris hence the date at the Gold Saucer, but he always had feelings for Tifa. Aeris was kind of like a distraction in some sort...but everyone liked her. 3nodding
