*Aethi still tried to shriek past his hand and would keep doing so until she was set down. Once she was and Erike had bandaged her arm, she tried to push the man out of the way so that she could do something for Ari.*
I'll handle this! I'm not so far gone yet!
*Placing her remaining hand on Ari's forehead she began weaving intricate healing magic, focusing primarily on the wounds inside her body. Tears started sliding down her cheeks.*
I'm not going to let you bleed to death!

Draeken let out another scream suddenly as his wings began to have a bit of white in them, though no one could really see him because of the darkness. He was losing the battle. Sitting up he began to thrash for a moment before wrapping himself in his wings only to disappear in a stornm of whirling feathers. Even the feathers disappeared after a moment. For the time being, he was gone. The air suddenly felt lighter for his going. His strength had been oppressive, but would be most realized now that he wasnt in the area. Everything seemed much lighter. Except for the darkness that is. That remained as dark as ever.

Erike grabbed Aethi's arm "AETHI CALM THE 'ELL DOWN!" His voice boomed weather he ment it to or not. "She's an Empath remeber? Yer not 'elping 'er by freak'n out any...Ye need to calm down!...She'll be ok....She's not a normal 'uman so she'll not die so easily...We jes' need to get 'er back...an' ye...as fer D..." He looked around unsure, it didnt matter really, it was black as ever, but he couldnt sense D anywhere. He sighed and stood up. "Ar' Ye strong enough to fly by yerself?" He looked to her, then leaned over and scooped up his niece gently.

*Aethi growled back at him.*
Fine...I'll heal her later. I should be able to fly back...If not, I can run. That takes less energy.
*She stood up shakily and leapt into the air, waiting for Erike to follow. She would take up the rear just in case Draeken decided to pull a last ditch effort to destroy them.*

Blueish-white wings spread from his back, they glowed eeriley....as if the moon where shining on them, even in the dark. He took off. Keeping Aria tightly in his arms and flew back to the Dojo.

Wolf sighed as everyone seemed to leave, his eyes were currently shifted so that with the movement of an eyelid like membrane the world could be changed from heat vision to ultra violet and back. He had truly been hoping that someone would finish the man that had caused the darkness. He also had been surprised by the random feather barrage that pierced so easily. He had barely merged with the earth in time to avoid getting caught in the volleys, and even so two had pierced through the ground and his stomach and right arm. At least I got everything vital out of the way. But this is one day down and one to go for that man to be felled. I doubt I could beat him but maybe I could assist enough for him to fall. Despite the wounds he felt no scent of blood rose from his body although the smell of sap would be strong as he looked around the area once more before melting into the ground and going to heal the minor wounds he had recieved.

The portal Draeken had opened appeared in the still and slightly dusty entry hall of the mansion. The hall was huge. It easily spanned two stories if not more. The ceiling was rounded and ribbed with stone arches and the floor made entirely of marble. There was still a darkness hanging in the air despite what Draeken had done several days back to rid the world of the darkness. Likely it was a remnant of the original darkness and the time that Draeken had spent here while evil. Other than that the large entry hall was beautiful. Smaller hallways led off to both the right and left and srtaight ahead were stairs that lead, of course, upstairs.

Under normal circumstances Xol would have most likely admired the architecture of Draekens mansion. Unfortunately this was not the time. Extremely important matters had to be discussed. Formalities and previous feelings aside, they had a monumental task ahead of them. Devising a plan to break into the Keep was one thing, actually infiltrating and finding Phia would be the most difficult part. Especially since the Citadel in all it's entirety was roughly a mile and a half in diameter. That was a lot of ground to cover while being hounded by state of the art defense systems and scores of mechanical death machines. Too bad he couldn't rely on God...
He smirked sourly at the last though. Sometimes he could be quite the b*****d.
"Nice... kind of makes me home sick." Xol chuckled absentmindedly, turning his crimson gaze to Draeken. "I didn't mean to cut short you little, "what vampires are" spiel back there, however I do believe this needs to be taken care of as soon as possible. The longer we wait... the longer... well..." He broke off again with a heavy sigh. It was obvious that the burden of guilt was weighing heavily on his conscience.

Draeken nodded as he came through the portal, closing it behind him. "Yes. I realize all of this. I do have Truinthil's memories in my head afterall, and he has been inside the barrier several times, if never in the actual building. It will be difficult indeed. The defenses I'm sure I can handle for the most part, in exception to a couple that might pose a bit of a threat. Finding Phia wont be hard either. I have her soul with me which likely will react when close to her. I'm sure that I will be able to at least sense her body as well. Everything that exists can be sensed by one thing or another." He sighed and began to think on how to battle the vast defenses that Mastema was likely to have. As he thought, a grin slowly spread across his face. "And as for the defenses again...I have a way to keep them busy for a time at least."

|| Sorry I couldn't post sooner. We had a massive power outage due to a equally massive snowstorm moving in. sweatdrop ||
"True... however the main problem isn't getting one or two people in, it's moving an attack force to it's bowels that will be most difficult. I'm sure TJ's, yours and my own energy focused on one point of the barrier will be enough to open up a sufficentt hole." Xol tilted his head and thought and sought out a place to sit before continuing to speak.
"Aye, it's good to hear that we can use you as a device to find Phia. That at least takes some of the mystery out of where to find her. I would dare say that she's being kept in that main tower which will no doubt be the most heavily gaurded. The only thing we have on our side at the moment is the element of surprise. I'm sure he'll be expecting some sort of attack, but not one with the conjoined efforts of you, I and possibly TJ. If only we knew the full capabilities of his defense system. That would make things so much easier..."

Draeken nodded through most of what Xol said, but had his own input on how to get into the barrier. "I can get myself through the barrier and could probably teach others to do it, but the energy it would take would leave everyone but myself and maybe you too tired to fight. I have not yet puzzled out how to transport multiple people in with my method." He sat silent for a moment then. "And as for the defenses...I know some of it. There are several individuals that Mastema has created. Each one unique and quite strong. Then there are the mass production models which are actually strong so far as I know. I havent seen them really, but have figured that they must exist. If Mastema can create a few great fighters, he can mass produce them probably just as easily. Just how strong any of them are I'm not sure."

"Well... I'm willing to learn the technique if you're willing to teach it. However, while that solves our problem it still doesn't help the fact that we need more than just ourselves. The key to this working, at least in my mind, is distraction. If we have an attacking force then Mas's attention should focus on that while you, I, or whoever else goes and takes back Phia. There has to be a different, less power consuming way. You, like I, of course have multitudes of power to spare so by all means we can do your method. Again though, it comes back to the others if we take others at all that is."
Xol's mind was frought with images and past knowledge of barriers, power mechanisms and other such magical devices that would sustain one. He knew that Mastema had to have massive generators or some sort of benevolent power to keep up such an immense barrier. Like everything else though, it did have a weakness. One would just have to think and plan.
"I've seen some of his mass-produced units. It was quite awhile ago when I pushed back Zenogais as he was trying to attack Kaiori. I'm sure Mastema has upgraded them by now though. In fact I'm positive of that. Remember the night we... wait that was Truithil and I, well... you have his memories so you should remember, right? Him and I were on the verge of attacking when Mas sent out some pretty heavy duty guards to confront us. I believe those to be some of his trump cards. Yet, nothing we can't handle... it just all depends on the numbers..." His voice trailed off as again he was lost in thought.

"Well, basically my technique involves opening a sort of worm hole and utilizing interdimensional travel and such things. Complex and time consuming the first few times. Basically you use such means of traveling to bore through the barrier. It's not easy. Unlike most barriers, Mastemas restricts interdimensional travel, but it can be done with enough energy and the right modes of travel." He paused for a moment to think of how to wrap it all up in a psychic nutshell to drop into Xol's mind for easier learning.
"But as for bringing in support units, I can do that. I'm sure you at least heard of if not witnessed the beings that I utilized when I was...Evil. They are by no means indestructable, but they are able to withstand much more of a beating than most creatures in this world and are nearly impossible to detect. If I remember correctly, I brought them over from another plane of reality. Interesting universe we live in really." He began poring over some of the memories in his head again then blinked and shook his head from side to side. "As for other people, though, I'm not sure who we could bring that would stand a chance except for Aethi and Twilight. Aria will refuse to be left behind no matter who goes and what sort of reasons we may give for her to stay behind, though. A tricky situation at best."

"I would rather have no more deaths on my conscience, however if we had to choose who to bring then by all means TJ. Aethi would be fine if she;s up to it, but I'd rather not bring Aria. That's really your place to say, however I know that I would only be distracted if she were there."
He thought about what D had mentioned concerning "support" and remember Truinthils dark minions to which he had alluded to on many occasions. It was taking a chance to be relying on something T once controlled, but he would have to trust Draeken on this.
"Yes, Truinthils little minions. I suppose they would be a viable distraction. About the interdimensional travel through the barrier though, ah... with the worm holes and such. I always thought those were too unstable to... well, given the right amount of power I suppose... what about if Mastema has formed a gaurd against them though? Has T used them against the barrier before?"
The last bit of questions were seemingly to both himself and Draeken as he contemplated all the variables.
