Lucas was right. Eve's heart fell through the floor at the confirmation, guilt about her treatment of him already creeping into her bones. So there was really no way to help them once they were enraged? She looked to Jamie, not really certain at this point what the right choice would be. "Are they going to be able to turn back? Or become calm again?"

"Michael," Jeremiah clarifies, "Michael was somehow here." Not that he knows if she'll - it's a thought for another time. He glances over to the others and lets out a sigh. "We pushed him through but-" It was probably the wrong thing to do. He focused on the other bit and then looked to Eve and back to Lady. "There is no way to help them through this? To complete it?" he asked quietly, unease settling over him as well. His expression flicked from tired to neutral because everything- This can't be it for them, it can't be. Never mind the fifth moonwalker was downstairs? Lucas had gone downstairs ... "I don't know that being found by the authorities will be good for them like this."

Well, it was nice while it lasted. At least the heartfelt moment was enough to really calm Shiloh down. The sudden appearance of Lady still spooked him, but Jamie seemed to know her, as well as some of the others. She was a friend? A damn tall intimidating friend, if any.
Hey, she had bags under her eyes too. Rock on bag-buddies.
Immediately, Jamie started off on things he didn't understand again, the others in the room starting to pipe up one by one. Moonwalkers huh? Sounded better than weres at least. He frowned at the thought that it wouldn't help them, but... right now they needed to be absent from the police. If anyone who wasn't filled in with the situation caught wind...
Shiloh shuddered. He honestly couldn't guess if it'd devolve into violence or killing or what. And who even was Lady? She said she could reopen the portal, but...
"How...?" he wondered aloud under his breath, not really expecting an answer. He was a bystander—an outsider in terms of these weird happenings. He was too tired to care about being left in the dark at this point.
But he kept quiet, letting the ones who knew what was actually going on handle the situation. He could be support, he could—so he was, gently holding onto Jamie's wrist as a silent stand.

Wait, so...that wasn't the fifth? A thought struck Lily, and her tail bristled, looking back to the others. "We sent all of our hurt people downstairs. There are cops downstairs. Shouldn't we be trying to...contain that one, too?" All this effort and they hadn't even gotten the right one. Lily wanted to scream.

"Down... stairs?" Jamie looked baffled at that. Since coming up here, he hadn't been back to the first floor or been privy to anything that had happened minus small snippets over the radio. Michael definitely hadn't been in the elevator itself, nor had it gone anywhere. What Lady said made no sense to him, same as his and Eve's question seemed to confuse Lady.
"There... was another one, he was strong and we- He went through a portal in the elevator. To... Other Ashdown?" How else was he supposed to explain this. It all felt so confusing. Glancing over at Jeremiah, he let out a short sigh. "Michael..." What had become of him, then?
Shaking his head, Jamie focused for a short moment on Shiloh's hand on his wrist. It was a comfort, because things sure were getting worrisome again.
Eve and Jeremiah took care of another question he had, whether or not they would calm again. Instead of repeating them, he leaned closer to Shiloh and whispered, "Lady can do a lot of things I don't understand..." And it was true. She'd been the one to get them to the Otherworld and back in the first place, and apparently she could get them there now, too. Looking back up at Lady, he added, "W-Will they be able to get out once they're there.... i-if they, um, do c-come back to their senses...."

"He's fine," says Lady. She rubs her eyes with the backs of her wrists and lets her hands fall. "Do you really think... I wouldn't have..."
She gestures, the reality of the world twisting around her fingers. The circle she draws expands into another gate. "Quickly, please."
She smiles at Jamie. "I'll get them out."

America gave Jack a flat look, and stated, "My animation is damn fine, thank you much." The bluejay gave him a judgemental stare as well. Reaching the bottom of the stairs, she noticed that for one, the main rogue was gone, and second, the portal had...moved? And there was a hella tall lady in fancywear. Calling out as they hurried to the other, she asked, "Got them! Did it work?"

Shiloh blinked, watching the reality distort around Lady's fingertips. He glanced over at Jamie after what he said, eyes wide. "D'you... trust her?"
It was obvious he did, since Jamie was the first one to respond and act when she showed up—or how Lady addressed him first. Was Jamie the one that called her here? Well... a friend of Jamie's was a friend of his. He was too tired to think any better or question. He trusted Jamie, so he'd wearily trust Lady too, just for now.
"That's that, then." he didn't want to let go, but his hand gave Jamie's wrist a squeeze before he got ready to act. Honestly, he just wanted to get this over and done with. Sooner Jamie could get looked at, sooner his head could be on a pillow somewhere, the absolute better.
He went back to one of the bound up weres, hoisting them up again, though he winced loudly. His shoulder had gotten ******** sore.
Shiloh's gonna toss that elevator were in. For real this time.

There was still a lot Jamie didn't understand about this whole situation. Had they made a mistake, had they been wrong all along? As much as his heart tried to distract him with the what-ifs, his head told him there was work to do. Focus, he tried to tell himself. Whatever consequences would come of this, they'd have to face them either way.
"T-Thanks, Lady," he responds, smiling a pathetically wobbly little smile back up at her before turning away.
Shiloh's question didn't get an answer, but it didn't really need one. They'd reached a point where trust was a dangerous, but necessary game. Jamie was unsure, but not unwilling.
"L-Let me help, Shiloh," he warbled out as he went to catch up with his friend. Couldn't let him do it alone, after all, not with that messed up shoulder...Jamie is helping Shiloh with the elevator were.

Chel hadn't spoken through the entire encounter until now, watching from the back because she didn't feel like she had a debate in the magical. "An' f'you could do this before, why you doin' it now an' not earlier?" Maybe not the best decision to challenge an apparently magical creature, but Chel didn't make good decisions.
"An' what you mean it'll only keep 'em safe from humans- that mean it won't keep 'em safe from someone else? I'm all fer gettin' these fleabags down the rabbit hole, but s**t we don't even know yer name." She fully realized they didn't have the time to bargain, but some answers were in order.

"Farbeit of me to ever doubt you do not have this, Krasnya," Jeremiah snorted and pushed himself up to go and get Finley who was not that far down the hallway. He was carrying the young woman in his arms and puts her into the gate. "Wait, what about the fifth? Downstairs?" How the hell would they get down there to get them up here? Was it even an option? They still had at least two more on this floor to get as well.

Lady looks at Chel. "I'm Lady," she said. "Lady Red." If she heard Chel's other questions, she ignored them: her outstretched hand holding the portal open was growing more and more tense, a rigidity descending upon her shoulders like the globe upon Atlas's. She turns hooded eyes back to the crew going through and tossing weres into the portal. "Harvey's fine," she said. "He'll be fine." There was a dark moment on the other side of the portal, a passing shadow. "Please hurry up and put them through if you're going to." Masha and the unconscious were in the purple conference room should be moved as well, friends! You have one more round.

Eve got back to her feet -- she needed to help no matter how tired she was. Everyone else here was probably even more exhausted. "Let's go, then," she said to anyone available, and made her way to the purple conference room.

Harvey? Jeremiah shook it off and went for Masha, ignoring the blood on her broken hands on her and on him and ... The detective picked her up and brought her to the portal. It was a careful push of her through, the dark moment on the other side of the portal giving him pause."There should be one more, right?" Blue-green eyes glance over to Krasnya and she looks tense, like this is doing her in. Eve was already heading towards the conference room and he gave her a nod. "We need to hurry, I'm sure they're going to stop holding themselves back any moment." Thank goodness they pretty much had done what they said.

Eve gathered up the final were and carefully brought them to the portal, thankfully having the core and arm strength to get them some of the way before being helped by another person nearby. "Lady... thank you." She put a hand on the girl's shoulder, pulling lightly in a way that was offering a hug if she wanted one. "You've been working so hard."
