She looked down at Azazel and rollerbladed slowly so he could keep up. She was us to going fast though.

"Right lets fight another pokemon to battle Az. What do you say?" she looked down at her leg.
Azazel jumped down and waved his tail around then got down on all fours with his butt in the air. Kit smiled and got down to.
"Oooh a race around the town to the tracks. Ha I like it!" Lucio moved in front of them and raised a finger pointing to the sky. "ON YOUR MARKS!"
Azazel hunkered down looking at the tracks.

Kit moved an arm across her chest getting reading.

As she skated around she thought she saw another new trainer on the ground hugging their starter pokemon. She quickly veered off not sure what was in the grass. Kit skated low to the ground and grabbed a fistfull of grass. It trailed behind her until she had one long leaf. She was in front of the trainer who was using his body to shield his pokemon. He looked up at Kit as the sun outlined her body in a heroic glow.

She blew the grass like whistle.
"Three two one, fight back." She smiled with the thrill of the fight spreading through herself.
Charmander was rushing the opponent with intense ferocity. The ball Zephyer was in glowed as a preasure fell around the area.

Kit looked at the aggressive Pidgy that was flapping about. She was about to have her pokemon attack it but then realized something. If she was going to be a Pokemon Ranger she couldn't solve everything with violence. She bit her lower lip. She didn't have a capture stylus either and the Pidgey looked like it would attack again. She did her best not to swear in her mind. Then remembered something from Oak's lab. She reached to her belt and brought out a pokeball.
"Hold off for now Azazel. Pokeball go!" she shouted tossing the ball.

The pidgey swung it's wing at the ball in an angry manner breaking the ball. Azazel looked over at it and then back at the Pidgey.
"Hey look I just want to talk can't we do that? Calm down please!" "Char!" Azazel tried to coax the pidgey to agree but instead the pidgey bolted towards Azazel bashing into him with force. "Char!" Azazel yelled out hurt.
Kit looked over at Azazel and saw he was badly damaged. She thought about it. If she switched it wouldn't matter. The pidgey would do that much damage to Zeph. She could heal Az with a potion but what would be the point he'd just get hit again. She turned hearing running. The person she was shielding made a break for it. Maybe this was the point.
"I'm sorry Az. We need to buy him time. Okay." "Cha...." he flinched and realized he wouldn't be able to take the next hit and slammed his eyes shut waiting.

"Please stop! I just got my friend! We don't wanna hurt you honest!" Kit pleaded. Her eyes watered. How could she do this to Azazel. She felt horrible. She took the ball from her belt again.
Azazel braced itself for another assault. The ball was thrown and as the Pidgey moved to attack it was head on the head and went into the ball this time. Kit waited on baited breath. The ball moved three times and the red hue went away. Azazel opened one eye and slowly relaxed.
"I....I got it." Kit stared. "WE GOT IT!" She jumped happily. She ran over to Azazel and picked him up hugging him. "I'm so sorry!" "Char." he patter he on the shoulder and nuzzled against her happy it turned out okay.
Kit walked over to the pokeball and picked it up.
"I'll call you Sage." She smiled "But I wonder what made her so aggressive. Hm. Well we'll see won't we."
Azazel looked up and nodded. He rubbed at his face painfully his body aching form the assult he took head on.

Kit leaned down and pulled out a potion spraying Azazel. "Hold still please." She smiled at him apologeticly. "You'll be okay."
Azazel hugged her afterwards.
"I'm really sorry about that but we had to calm down Sage. Do you think you can help me figure out what's going on Azzy?" she asked him. "Char!" He stood at attention saluting her. "That a boy." She smiled and took out the pokeball.
She pulled out the pokeball and called forth her Sage. Sage glared heavily at Kit and flapped her wings angrily.
"Show me the trouble." Kit said looking Sage in the eyes.
Sage stopped flapping after a moment and watched Kit and turned her back on the trainer. Sage then looked over her wing and then looked forwards again flapping and hovering low. She nodded and returned Charmander to his pokeball and skated behind the bird looking around and keeping alert.

Kit followed the Pidgey to a nest under some bushes. She got on her knees and looked under the bush looking for the egg. After a moment she sat back on her feet and looked at Sage. Sage started squawking upset and flapping her wings erratically.
"I don't get it....Let me see. You were attacking that trainer though so did he have something to do with it?" She looked at Sage.
Sage was calm for a minute then jumped up and down flapping.
"Wait a minute, so he wasn't hunched over a pokemon. Was he hunched over an egg?!" She pulled out her dex and scanned the area.
Pidgeot will sometimes hide their nests and leave to migrate when the eggs becomes close to hatching. They leave the eggs by bushes that usually have insects or berries.
"So that's why they weren't there, wait a second did you hatch recently then. Woah, you're a tough little cookie then aren't you."
Sage pecked at the inside of her wing a bit flustered then jumped up quickly all worried again about the egg.
"Lets make sure first that's the case okay.
Sage gave Kit a look. She was firm in what she believed in but remembered Kit said something about being a Ranger. Maybe that meant something.
"All right hop on my shoulder Sage. We'll find that trainer and ask some questions okay." She winked trying to calm the upset Pidgey.
Sage nodded and flew around Kit and perched on her shoulder.
"All right lets head back." she took off skating going back to where she first fought Sage.

As she bladed another Pidgey came out of nowhere. It dive bombed into both Kit and Sage. Kit was knocked over and looked down next to her seeing Sage out cold.
"Sage! Sage speak to me!" She placed a hand on her pokemon. She recalled her back to the ball and looked at the Pidgey. "Is it because of what happened before? I wonder.....Hey Sage isn't a trader or anything but we're wasting time. Zephyer lets do this! Sorry the more time I waste here with you the more time that egg has of being lost forever. I've had enough." Kit glared in a hurry.
