This was going to be tricky. the pile was quickly turning into a deathtrap in Maidens eyes. Climbing did not seem to be an option for exit, everything was not solid and that metal bar in the mix did not look like a fun object to have fall on him.

The next best idea? BREAK IT ALL DOWN. "Im here, wait i'm coming out!" he called out to the voice as he began to trow things out of the top, signalling his location in the junk. A baseball hat and a wheel and a tire pump was flung and soon enough, a side was open just far enough for him to squeeze past the mess.

Causing a whole new mes that was less organized and put in a neat pile to form. "Whew, that was scary." Stew was somewhere doing stew like things.

If there was anything he was sure about, was that he was going to find the lug again, whether he wanted to or not. "Hello, are you friendly or do i have to show you the pile i fell into?"he called back out into the darkness, the dim light and poor vision not helping the panic stricken fear he was feeling again.

This seemed to be going much better than earlier, she mused, grinning a bit while snagging another fragment. Another small memory bubbled to the surface but was once again quickly discarded in the search for more.

Rime found another fairly quickly, tucking it in with the others. Just two more to go, then the offering would be complete.

Thank the goddess! Just one more and then there wouldn't be a need to be running around in this awful rain anymore.

The goddess left, and that strong, safe feeling went with her. Ironshare wasn't sure how to feel about it. He turned from the crowd and picked, alone, through the city. He learned to run from building to building, when he had to. He found the subway.

And deep inside, at the back of the subway, something different.

He stood in the shrine, and listened. There were more blessings. They just needed something in exchange. He didn't have a reference for this being familiar. So he shrugged, and went back out into the rain. It made more sense, now. The others chasing the bright points of light. One drifted past him, and he reached...it slipped through his fingers.

He contemplated his hand.

Was it worthwhile, doing all this? And now that he was made, could he be unmade? Back to the shifting formlessness? He didn't want that. He'd do what he could to keep from it.

Ironshare turned back into the subway, further out of the rain. He turned over a crushed, rusted bike with his foot, and watched the wheel spin, then looked back to where the yellow outside light spilled in down the stairs.

He examined the dark, and right next to him, one of the others pinned a drifting light to a car. Ironshare leaned on the car, and sort-of-hands still stuck in his sort-of-pockets, nudged the Other with his elbow.

"Hey," he said, jerking a chin towards an area where the visibility was even lower, choked with fog, "what do you think's out there?"

Another light wiggled past, and Ironshare used the same technique, snapping out to trap it against the car door. He didn't expect what came next, the flash of words,

Which didn't make one bit of sense. Except that part of it shared a sound with his name.

Gun walks among the ruins, distractedly running his hands along walls, or bumping his shoulders into poles when no one seems to be looking. He seeks the soft shock of touch it gives him, however faint and unreal. It's grounding in this world of grey.

He knows it's weird. That's why he doesn't do it when others are watching.

He runs his hand along the dark, shadowed underside of a window sill as he passes a decrepit building. His fingers seek a small fragment of light there, but it blinks out before he can touch it.
