Griffin's next throw wasn't quite so accurate. While he'd been aiming for Derek, the balloon veered off to the left, hitting one of the teachers. A specific one of the teachers. If Briar was his rival, then the teacher with the hose (TM) was his nemesis. Sure, there were multiple teachers with hoses, but this one seemed to go out of his way to make sure that Griffin was soaking wet at all times.
On the one hand, getting a bit of payback was nice, even though it had been accidental. On the other, he really hadn't wanted to attract that teacher's attention. Now that he did, he crouched low to the ground and put his hands over his face to shield himself from the onslaught he knew was coming.
And come it did, as Griffin shrieked and flailed and tried to get away without leaving his base.
Ralph should've known better than to turn his back before he got far enough away from his enemy. He froze when he was hit and grinned, well if that's how it was going to be he scooped up another balloon. If he managed to hit this one it'd be amazing. HA! He had managed to hit Griffin again~ he stuck out his tongue and moved for another balloon, watching Griffin as he moved.

Briar hadn't appreciated hit by the sudsy water balloon that Derek had lobbed in his direction, especially as it had caused him to drop the balloon that he'd had in his hand - the balloon that he'd been in the process of lining up the perfect shot for.
He couldn't help back grin when Derek has hit soon after by Griffin, his grin widening when he realised that the balloon had been a sudsy one in turn - how appropriate.
Seeing Ralph target and hit Griffin, Briar lobbed his own balloon in Ralph's direction.
Sure he knew that Griffin could take care of himself, but he had a feeling that his rival had had something to do with the balloon that had nailed Derek earlier - this was Briar's way of quietly levelling things between them.

Okay, so he had missed. No biggy. It had happened before. Keep on keepin on. So Derek just picked up another balloon and tossed it at a passing kid. Grinning as it hit him.
It seemed like it took forever for the teacher to get tired of his current victim and go off in search of new prey. Griffin carefully peeked between his fingers and then, when he was sure he wasn't going to get a face full of water, took his hands away and opened his eyes. He was absolutely soaked, moreso than he'd ever been during the course of the battle. His clothes stuck to him, his hair dripped into his face, and he started to shiver from the cold of the water. He really needed to move around and warm up, but he didn't want to leave his base.
The solution was clearly to throw more balloons. Griffin was careful about his aim, but his arm was starting to seize up, making his toss go far to the right and land without hitting anyone.
Ralph getting beamed next by Briar he decided that he owed Briar a few as well! With a bright orange balloon, Ralph lobbed it at Briar and managed to hit him too!

Before trying another shot, Griffin stretched his arm a bit, moving it in circles and bending it in front of him. It tingled as the coldness began to fade, helped by his movement and the warmth of the sun. Once it didn't feel like it was about to go numb, he selected another balloon.
None of his favorite targets were nearby, but that was okay. There were still kids he hadn't hit, and Griffin took aim at one of them. The fact that the balloon hit was a sign that his little stretching exercise had worked! His arm was good as new and ready for another workout. Now he knew what to do if he got hosed again.
Briar might not have gone after Ralph immediately, but that didn’t mean that he’d forgotten about him – he’d just wanted to finish getting his revenge on the second of the two guys from earlier – mayhaps now they’d think twice before lobbing balloons at people who were clearly down.
Or mayhaps not – just because Brirar played that way, it didn’t mean others would. Still he’d gotten his revenge which meant that it was time to move on.
Sneaking up on Ralph with a blue balloon that he’d snagged up from the ground, Briar send it flying in the direction of the other boy’s back.

Stretching his arm was all well and good, but Griffin soon noticed that the rest of his body was stiff from the cold as well. He did the same movements with his other arm, then tried to get up- and couldn't.
"Ow ow ow!" Little stabs of pain shot down his legs, which were not only cold, but had fallen asleep. It was painstaking work to slowly uncross them and stretch them out in front of him. Before he did that, he probably looked like a pretzel. Once he was properly aligned, he bent and straightened his legs then pointed and flexed his toes, relaxing as the feeling slowly came back into his numb flesh.
After his latest balloon had fallen to the ground a little way ahead of him with a sad little plop, Briar decided that now might be a good time for another little snack break.
He half hid the balloon near a bush before heading to the snack table. Since it hadn't broken, he could use it as potential ammo when he came back - that is if some one else didn't find it first.
Once he could feel his legs properly, the next step was standing up. That was harder than Griffin expected, even though he could move a little more easily. He'd been sitting so long that changing positions was difficult, and it took a couple of tries to just get into a crouch. From there, he sloooowly straightened his legs, groaning as he could feel his joints crack and pop.
He was going to need to see the chiropractor after this fight for sure. Maybe even get an x-ray, to make sure his spine wasn't totally out of whack. This was some dangerous stuff he was doing!

Marisha smiled as she went to find another balloon. Seeing a cute purple one out among a bunch of normal colored ones she couldn't resist. Grabbing it up she looked for the perfect person to throw it at. Since she didn't feel like targeting the boys... yet, she decided to get a random nearby girl.
Marisha ran towards the girl swinging the balloon towards her target before letting go as she slipped forward. As Marisha caught herself on her hands and knees on the ground she looked up to see that she had managed a perfect hit. She grinned and decided that the mud was worth it.
