After a couple more steps, he had decided to do his best to use his wings as a bit of an aid. He'd summon Alpha, but the space was far too small for the two of them to move, much less him try to ride her up.
It was pretty good going, until he heard the Voice in his head.
I sure as hell am going to take my friends back, thief. And believe me, my claws are a lot sharper than you seem to think, he thought back, not even sure if the entity could hear it and not caring.

And he was back to using his wings to help him along. It wasn't much, but at least it was taking some of the pressure off of his poor birdy feet.

Through the deafening silence Lumi heard a booming voice. Looking around she wondered if she was the only one. "You dare take the powers of the others, when I created you, gave you purposed, and promised you a Kingdom. You dare raise your punitive claws against me? Even reforged you will never be on the same level that I am."What? Who took what powers? She was a lowly ranking officer. She didn't even have a purpose really and who ever said she was going to raise her clams at who ever was talking. All she wanted to do was wake up from this horrible nightmare. The remaining steps were taken two at a time, the door was in grasp and it had never looked finer. and opening it revealed....more steps. Joy. The voice wanted to talk but demi flipped his s**t and immediately shushed the droning out. "Quiet, im running up steps here!" The steps seemed never ending as she started to slow down. Thinking as she could feel the thoughts being said out loud, "One two...step to the door...one two..."Something might have snapped in her brain. A thought suddenly struck him and he almost immediately pouted over it. If this was the real world, if this was home, he could just remove his school pin, turning him into his natural form, and he could just fly normally.
But he didn't have a natural form. He wasn't a harbinger here, he was a freakin' harpy. And they couldn't turn into demon owls.
This world was getting ever worse as he went along.

It had definitely sounded so - although the words did not make much sense to her. The powers of others? Did it mean what the pillar had done for her, giving her a second chance? And the rest of it, yes, that could fit with what the pillar had told her as well. A slight quirk of the lips was all that showed the amusement the words of the Voice generated in her. Lumikki mused as she kept climbing,
"what if...what if I liked him...what if we were lovers...hmmm..."Her thoughts were short lived as she looked around her surroundings. Before she noticed the bird she heard the voice again "All I ever wanted was to find the True King, and get, the others still stand in my way. I have given them no harm, no trouble, I have waited this long, and my prize is to be betrayed by everything I embrace, again."The true king? Well that was easy it was the commander. He had always lead them the right way he was fair and right. And he would never harm any of them...except for the two in the cabin...but it was because the voice asked for it. Nodding yes the logic in her mind was slowly making sense of all this going around her. Tilting her head at the bird she wondered if this was another time or another world if she could find out who he thought she was. Again, the voice resounded in his head as he stopped at a door. Julian sighed, but couldn't hear it. It wanted to find the true king. It sounded like a servant, bound to its master and lost without one. Whining, pitiful.
Given no harm, no trouble, HA! Taking his friends, putting them in comas and stealing from them, putting them in this world and shaping taking their memories, their lives from them. Like that wasn't harm or trouble.

There was a door in front of him with writing, but Yin, being Yin, barely paid attention to it, noting the words but not pausing to read them. Instead he moved on, walking several paces before realizing that things were off. He could not hear.

Perhaps if the Voice had created them not to fight and die, but to live peacefully with each other, Davyne might not have felt the bitterness towards it that she was feeling now. It was selfish, giving someone life - or something that closely resembled it, anyhow - only to take it away again. And it'd been a pipe dream, to boot, that this would somehow last or work.
