Just because water conforms does not mean it is any lesser an element.

As he talked with Sakura-chan, another student approached the courtyard. Akeru paid no attention to the new arrival at first, figuring this might simply be another student wishing to utilize the courtyard's tools. But when snow-white hair and crimson eyes greeted his sight...moreover, that strong chakra... Golden eyes widened and before that boy even spoke a single word, he thought as if his heart had skipped a beat, painfully stopping to a dull thud.

No...

"You... Are you...?"

The thought left his stomach feeling a little ill, and he suddenly wished that he had not ate before coming to the Academy. Though he prided himself for self-control, he could not help those first words that found their way to his mouth. They were hesitant, suspicious...because if the first thought that ran through his mind was true, than either the Curse was very real, or he might just reconsider his Hyuuga colleague's offer to explain to him about the workings of fate. Fate certainly did seem to have a terrible sense of humor.

It can't be.

His expression once again resumed one of neutrality, as Sakura-chan took the liberty to introduce her classmate. So this child...he wasn't... Yes, he was probably worrying too much. What a silly thought, to get so worked up anyways over a mere suspicion... Yes, that's right, this couldn't be anything more than coincidence.

He only just barely registered Sakura-chan's inquiry. Perhaps he would've missed it, had not yet another student arrived.

"No." Replied Akeru, slowly shaking his head. "Today, I am only surveying. Hokage-sama wishes for me to supervise the first graduating team."

More students were arriving, and with their numbers, he grew increasingly uncomfortable.

Yae bantered politely with Sakurayuki for a moment. Small talk wasn't exactly her thing, but the pink-haired girl was rather easy to talk to. Unlike her, Yae didn't have any reservations about eating and talking at the same time, and much of her half of the conversation was said with a full mouth.

"Pleased to meet you," she muttered to no one in particular when Sakura introduced her, her voice made bass-heavy by the fact that she was talking around a bunch of rice.

Everyone looked busy in their own way so she figured she'd keep busy eating rather than bug them. She kept talking to Sakurayuki, not noticing that the girl was having a sort of dilemma. Her monologue started out about the nawanuke training, but quickly switched to her now-severe dislike of Ko-sensei. "I mean, the tape didn't make any sense. What if there had been a fire? Not only would we have been roped up but we couldn't call for help. And I doubt that bumbling idiot would even remember we were there. What purpose did it serve, to keep us from chewing the ropes?"

Despite multitasking, Yae had managed to empty the box in no time flat. Clearly she had considered eating near someone to be eating with them. She dropped it at her feet, planning to pick the thing up before she left.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

Takami looked down at the next scroll, The Basics of Medical Herbs Part Two, it read at the top, in beautiful calligraphy. He stared at the list, slightly discouraged by the length of the writing, and all the information in this scroll, and decided to start by making a small sketch of the first item on the list, Kava Kava, a rare plant south of them that produced an effect like holly, but extremely stronger. "Strong version of holly," he muttered, copying the words onto the scroll and drawing an arrow to the previous entry he had made for holly, continuing down the list. Somewhere along the lines, the boy began daydreaming, envisioning himself in the middle of the Konohagakure forest, searching for ingredients. Walking around the bend of a tree, the boy saw a rare, mountain lion, and slowly turning back and walking away, the boy was able to escape the vicious beast. After several more minutes of walking, the boy escaped the dream of the forest, walking into a large, sandy beach, fog rolling in thickly from all sides. "Hello," he called out in the day dream, "Anyone there?" he said, suddenly afraid of attackers. Suddenly, below him he saw a beautiful small, white plant, only several flowers left on the rare plant. The boy took a petal off of the Kava Kava and placed it in his mouth, the sweet taste almost like honey. Then he remembered he was suppose to be working. The boy shook his head and stared back down at the scroll, continuing to take notes.

Shiro noted the grin Sakurayuki's face as she began the introduction. He wondered why she was excited. He didn't really see anything special about the guy. The he heard it, U.. Chi.. Ha... The syllables rang out in his mind, there was a strange feeling of deja vu in his bones. At the mention of that clan name he felt something deep in his chest which he didn't recognize. Due to these feelings he didn't even notice her giving him higher status. Uchiha... Akeru. His brain logged as the boy returned to his normal self, the strange feeling passing as swiftly as it came. Though it escaped Shiro's notice Akeru seemed to have a similar reaction to Shiro. "You... Are you...?" The Uchiha said as he appeared to be struggling to ask something.

"The ghost of Senju Tobirama?." The boy interjected into Akeru's sentence with a rising intonation in his voice. "Yes." he replied in a decidedly serious tone

"But only on Halloween." the boy laughed as could no longer contain the joke that he was making. When he was done laughing her turned to Sakurayuki after hearing her question. "Shiro is fine but you can call me Inechi if you want. Anyway though, I actually came here because I was looking for you and Amya-chan. I've already done a couple target practice sessions."

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The young Hyuuga studied the scroll, making small notes concerning each ingredient- Myrrh, Passionflower, Plantain, Turmeric, and Valerian seeming to be some of the most important, Takami made a star next to them. "Myrrh heals you," he drew a detailed sketch next to the description, "Passionflower, Like Holly and Kava Kava I'll draw a line to them, and the Plantain, a week healing herb, Turmeric is a pain killer, and finally Valerian seems important, a sedative, though it doesn't really seem like a Medicine." He added small detailed pictures of each plant next to the description. Seeing that he had finished learning all ingredients in the scroll, the boy rolled up 'The Basics of Medical Herbs Part 2,' put the lavender ribbon back around the center and placed it on his left hand side by his leg. "I guess I should study," he thought to himself, looking down at his notes, seeing he had turned two long scrolls worth of information into about a third of a long scroll, pictures included, and possible the most important part! The boy took one of the books and covered up the right hand side of the scroll, leaving only the names of the natural medicines exposed. Quizing himself, the boy was disappointed to find himself only having memorized three of the herbs, Holly, Kava Kava, and Passionflower, only because he had remembered the three were similar. Going back, the boy tried again, getting a few more, and repeating the quiz until he could go through every time and get every herb correct.

Looking at the next scroll to his left, the student pulled the lavender ribbon off with a single move of his hand, placing it on his left side, resting on the two scroll he had already finished to keep it from dirtying. He opened the scroll: Poisonous Herbs and Fungi Part One of Two- Fungi, and the beginning section of Poisonous Herbs. The boy studied the elaborate drawings, many of the herbs and fungi looking pretty menacing, with unthinkable consequences for consuming. Quickly, the boy started the sketch of several fungi, mostly with side effects that deplete the users chakra slightly, or make the consumer more susceptible to genjutsu, stopping on the next family of mushrooms, The Amanita family, and in reading the side effects, the boy began to feel sick, 'The Amanita family are often-used poisonous mushrooms. A few mushrooms is all it takes for the damage to start and it is easy to slip mushrooms in a meal. Symptoms of the poisoning include a headache, sluggishness, fever, wild delirium, extreme fatigue and eventually cardiac paralysis.' He shuttered at the ordinary looking mushrooms, "I'm never eating mushrooms again!" he vowed. Finishing with the mushroom portion of the scroll, the boy quickly moved onto the beginning section of poisonous herbs, drawing a picture of the plain herb, Aconite, and then moving onto the description. Again, the boy felt his heart dropping as he read the description with again ended in death in less than a day, again vowing to never eat anything he finds in the wild. Reading the description of the last herb on the page, laughing loudly at the ridiculous side effects of the herb Cantharides, 'It can cause burns and blistering in the digestive and urinary tracts and overdoses may result in convulsions.' Finishing the picture, the boy imagines the evil dead's he would commit with access to the newest poisonous herb. Rolling up the scroll, and tying it off, the young Hyuuga looked down at his paper, putting more details into each of the poisonous plants, being sure to write where they were located, what they looked like, side effects from consumption, and making especially sure to write down all possible antidotes. The boy looked over at the next five scrolls, all on poisonous items, and then at the waning room left on his notes page, knowing that he would soon have to get up and go inside for a new note taking scroll.

The boy opened the next scroll and quickly scanned over the names of each of the poisonous herbs: Belladonna, Foxglove, Hemlock, Nux Vomica, and Opium, sticking out as the most dangerous, and he began to take notes, starting with the Belladonna. "Another one of these," the boy muttered shivering in fear, reading the description of the deadly flower. 'The deadly nightshade or belladonna is a small black flower. All parts of this part are poisonous but mainly the berries are used in the act. Symptoms of fatal belladonna poisoning include a rapid pulse, a dryness of the mouth and throat and difficulty in swallowing, a headache, scarlet rashes, blurred vision and/or hallucinations and muscle convulsions. The victim will lose all control over his muscles and will fall into a coma, leading eventually to death. The symptoms of belladonna poisoning are extremely similiar to rabies and only medical professionals can tell the difference by noting the dilation of the pupils.' coping the description of the book word for word, making sure to write down the antidote for the deadly flower, opium with three coffee beans, coffee beans being the antidote for opium. The boy continued down the list with Foxglove, another poisonous, but luckily not deadly herb, again copying the description, the antidote, and drawing a small detailed picture next to the description. He continued on the Hemlock, Nux Vomica, and Opium, remembering the last as a cure for the deadly Belladonna flower, and he just barely missed fitting the information on the scroll, his hand writing got smaller and smaller, the more he wrote about Opium, and finishing with the scroll. Quickly, the boy sealed the lesson scroll back up, pushing his left arm behind him and standing up, heading towards the classroom for another blank scroll, keeping the last line in his mind about the antidotes for opium. The boy walked into the classroom, and grabbed three rolls of scrolls, to be sure that he had enough, and raced back to his spot in the park, passing several classmates, stopping to sense the strength of their chakra and feeling the presence of two stronger ninjas, Takami bowing slightly to the elder ninja, knowing he was most likely a Chunnin or Jonin. Passing by a small bench, and then sitting back down on the flat rock just a few feet behind it, quickly opening the next scroll and feverishly writing the final sentence he remember about opium, and then reaching for the next scroll.

TAB TAB▬▬▬▬▬

Once everyone was introduced, Yuki took the liberty to walk over to the bench with the group of people and sit down to eat her bento. During the introductions however, the Jōnin seemed taken aback.

'Huh?' Sakura was a little confused by the sudden surprise in both of them. When Shiro introduced himself as the Nindaime Hokage in such a serious tone, she almost choked on her food, staring incredulously at him, until he added the 'only on Halloween' part. She looked closely, only to find that he really was strangely similar to the Senju of the past.

'If the Nindaime Hokage had a picture of his younger days, I swear it would be the exact copy of Shiro-san,' she thought in surprise, wondering how she hadn't noticed that from before. The 'younger bunshin' turned to Sakura, telling her that she could address him as Shiro, and Yuki nodded a yes, converying the fact that she understood. Now a little more comfortable with Shiro as she got to know him a little better, she turned to the other male, who was talking.

Finally, the other clan member revealed his reason for being here at the Academy, which prompted her to make a mental note to herself to graduate as fast as she could. She was definitely motivated now, for sure. Smiling a little as she looked at the interactions between everyone, she talked with Yae more while eating. Opening her box, she whispered a quiet 'Itadakimasu' before digging in, savoring the taste that seemed to be increased from her hunger. The other girl was currently complaining about the Nawanuke no jutsu, but that topic soon gave way to the complaints about their sensei himself. Now Sakura had her mouth full in that particular moment, but she nodded her head vigorously when the topic came to light while swallowing. It was true!! There was absolutely no reason for the tape, although she really hoped that he wouldn't be that irresponsible as to leave them there in a fire. Surely he wouldn't do that...? Ri...ght.....???

She also talked a little with Shiro a little more, offering both males a seat on the edges, although she wasn't sure if the Uchiha would want to sit down. The weather was nice, and it was a good day, considering. Stretching a little and enjoying the fresh breeze, she found if quite enjoyable to simply relax in the shade and talk. Turning to Shiro, she asked how far he was in the Academy. It didn't seem as if he was in particular need of the Academy courses, so she determined that he was just here for the hitai-ate they would be giving out.

Finishing off the rest of her lunch, she murmured a 'Gochisousama' before placing her chopsticks inside the box and closing it, placing her bento box next to Yae's. Talking with Yae a little more, trying to give the Uchiha elder a little space, for he seemed a little overwhelmed. She wasn't that knowledgeable in body language, but being in a shinobi family gave you some instincts as to the quirks of people, especially with Uchihanese, which was, as she had learned, another world of its own. Looking at the target practice, she wondered if she should ask her sensei to give her a couple kunai and shuriken for practice too. It sure looked like a lot of fun. Or maybe if Amaya-san was finished with hers, she could perhaps borrow them from her. Shiro-san had already done it a couple times according to him, which made Sakurayuki notice the sheer amount of chakra he already had. Shaking her head, she turned to Yae and asked if she would like to train with the dummy too. If that was the case, they could practice together until everyone else was done with the Nawanuke no jutsu, and maybe get some pointers from Amaya and Shiro, and even perhaps Akeru Uchiha himself.

(That would be... let's see, a whopping +6??? lols!)

The boy grabbed the next scroll, instantly starting reading over the poisonous animals, reading the effects of frogs, ranking the amphibians in order from least to most deadly, starting with the toad, several mildly effective breeds, moving to the red and blue frogs, and finally ending at the most deadly frog, the golden frog. He read over, the barely effective, toad, it's poison barely effective, causing wart where ever slime makes contact with the skin and a slight depletion in health. The boy made a simple sketch, adding slight shading to help add to the figure of the image. The boy quickly moved through the next frogs, being only slightly more dangerous than the toad, and the drastically jumping to the highly effective slime of the red and blue frog, drastically decreasing the health of anyone unlucky enough to make contact with one of these dangerous animals. The boy drew the frogs, noting the two different colors, both bright, and easily spotted. He would know to avoid these. He started on the next description, the golden frog, this one gave him shivers similar to the Belladonna, killing whoever touch it within an hour. 'A golden frog contains enough venom to kill 10 men. Only 2 milligrams of this prized poison is required to kill a human.' the boy copied down quickly, trying not to think about contact with this rare animal. He quickly drew the sketch, and added a small note at the bottom of the frog's section, noting all of the frog's poison can be drawn out using chakra, though as the list went on the skill is needed more chakra was needed. Taka quickly started on the second half of the scroll, reading over all the snakes, and ranking them from least to most dangerous, going quickly through the first few snakes, being not very dangerous, their venom mostly enticing vomiting, finally getting to the final two snakes, the boomslang, and the rattle snake, both bites resulting in death without proper chakra removal of the venom, and in the rattlesnakes case, a simple antidote, but made with a rare ingredient, Black Cohosh. The boy took the notes on the snakes, including where they live, the symptoms the user experiences after they've been bitten, how long the user has to live after being bitten, and what you have to do to draw out the poison with chakra, drawing a picture of each of the snakes, a generic looking rattlesnake, hoping for it to be suffice. The boy quickly sealed up the scrolls, halfway done, and picked up all the scrolls and the books, and then he walked past the students again, going into the academy and up the stairs to the third floor. The boy walked into the library and handed back the first half of the scrolls to the librarian, his stomach rumbling, and smiled meekly at the ground, "Know where I can get my lunch?" She smiled and pointed him downstairs to a classroom where the teacher had supposedly left all the lunches for the students. Walking into the room, the boy saw two students left, two boys one closer to the entrance and an apparent Inuzuka closer to the back, in the room, but no lunches. Going to the boy closer towards the door, the boy squatted down and smiled at the brown haired boy, hoping to gather some information on the missing lunches, "Hi, I'm Takami, but you can call me Taka," he said happily, keeping his last name to him, "What happened to the lunches," he set down his scrolls behind him.

Fudou continued to reach up and found that the next knot was also easily dealt with (chakra? What chakra?). He supposed that with increased mobility just playing with knots without the use of much chakra was much easier, and it was only when completely immobile that chakra would be of the most help. His musings were interrupted by the entrance of a new guy. There had been other desks where lunches had been placed that hadn't been claimed, now that he thought about it... maybe these students were behind. He couldn't recognise this guy from just now, though, which led him to think that he had been even later than him. Whoa! Score! Fudou didn't feel so bad about missing the teacher by a few steps now.

He stretched his freer, but still not completely freed arms out to get the blood pumping, and snorted as the boy introduced himself. "Anybody can tell you're a Hyuuga," he stated before realising that the guy had the use of all his limbs while Fudou didn't. Fortunately, he didn't seem too offended so he offered out a concession. "I'm Fudou. You can ask his dog why there are no lunches," he grumbled, pointing at Pakku. (Yea! He couldn't do that just now!) Then he spotted a corner of the scrolls behind Takami. Takami sat back, opening the next scroll in the series pretending to read intently, playfully ignoring his new aquatint. "Ah yes, the Hyuuga smiled, shooting a dirty look at the Inuzuka after hearing the dog had stolen his lunch, along with Fudou's, "I'm studying first aid and I'm taking pretty good notes, if I do say so myself. Y'anno, I could lend them to you after I'm done, to catch you up on the extra credit! That is, if you after class today, catch me up on the jutsu you're working on right now! I apparently turned up late for class," the boy rolled his eyes, tugging lightly on one of ropes around Fudou's wrists. The boy sat back again and opened up his notes scrolls, taking time to make the heading at the top of spiders stand out, distracted in the company of his newest friend, well actually his only friend, if he could even call him this. "Anyways, this your first day too?" he said just barely looking over the scroll he was studying, reading over the words, though not having any recollection of what he was seeing. He stopped suddenly, realising that he hadn't gotten anything to use in his notes and started the first paragraph again, playfully glaring at Fudou, "Thanks a lot!" he joked towards his new aquatint, "You've distracted me now!"

This guy was... really friendly. A shiver ran down Fudou's spine as Takami acted so familiar with him, but it wasn't unpleasant or something. In fact... when Takami reached over, Fudou watched him carefully, but he felt one of his ropes loosen. Fudou quickly slipped out of that one after sending a burst of chakra to help. Yes, this guy was pretty good indeed. And Fudou wouldn't say no to more extra knowledge, even if it seemed that this kind of thing was more up Yae's alley, with her being so interested in medical jutsu and all. At least judging from the books he saw her reading the other day.

"That sounds good. You got yourself a deal." He smiled, pleased at how things worked out. Because he had so much difficulty with the knots, he stayed back longer and got to make this new ally. Who would undoubtedly be powerful just judging by those eyes of his.

"It's actually my third day. Or so." Fudou honestly wasn't sure. "Academy didn't use to be this organised. It's kinda weird, actually." He smirked as Taka jokingly admonished him for distracting him. "I'll just keep quiet and work on this while you get on with that then." Fudou's arms were completely free now, and he only had four more knots tying up his legs on the ankle, calf, knee, and thigh to deal with. He could really just fiddle with them with his fingers until they eventually came loose, but... he had the chakra. The dog seemed to have stopped for now. Why not try to actually complete the exercise properly?

He tackled the knot round his thighs first for the simple reason that they were closest to him. His legs were seriously getting numb after so long without movement and he wasn't sure if he would be able to bend forward that much without doing something embarrassing like toppling over onto the ground. Now that he could actually see what he was doing, he was able to make short work of the knot. He dispatched the knot tied round his knees in a similarly effective manner. He couldn't help but have a satisfied grin on his face. This was going nicely.

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

The boy stared down at the ground, now he was uncomfortable, and never really having a friend Takami didn't know what to say next. He listened to his new friend, drawing a circle in the ground with his finger. "Uhm, yeah," he smiled meekly, "You know, It's not too bad having you talk to me." Suddenly, the young Hyuuga felt his stomach grumble, whether it was from never or hunger, the boy looked around for the dog, and then throwing his hand behind him, pushing himself up, finally spotting the small dog in one of the corners, hoarding three lunches. Slowly, the boy approached the dog, not sure how he'd react, and slowly moved his hand under the chin of the dog, moving it back and forth, and reaching out for the lunches that read Takami and Fudou, opening the last lunch that read Pakku, for the dog to enjoy. Taka slowly backed away from the dog and towards his new aquatint, passing by the young Inuzuka, and throwing his a playful smirk, and finally reaching back to where Fudou was sitting, and placed the open lunch on the boys lap. Seeing he had got even further then he had before, the Hyuuga looked down at the ground. "Thought you might be hungry," his cheeks red in embarrassment from getting nothing done since meeting his new friend. Looking at his own lunch, Takami placed his unopened box over to his left and pulled out the scroll he had been working oh-so hard on for the past few minute, thinking over his short time in the academy. He was always getting distracted, "I can never do anything right," he decided. This boy was already ahead of his in the lesson plan, and now the young Hyuuga was getting distracted, wasting his time getting his food, but he knew that it was nice to get his new friend his lunch for him. Takami didn't know what to think right now. The Hyuuga opened his scroll, and read over the first paragraph, taking unsubstantial notes, thinking about what a hard time he was having focusing.

(+1 to Fudou)
