No way was Herryk going to lick anyone. Freya, maybe, but only if she asked nice.
"Herryk will ah... supervise." Carry on then. "Unless Christof needs help with the pins. Herryk can help with that." Just.. not the licking.

 Suddenly, a flicker of darkness runs through all the mirrors in the room, only to form into a single figure off to the side - and it does not vanish when you focus on it this time, though it is within the mirror still. Its voice is familiar, mocking, the same one that's been muttering to all of you, the same one that's turned into the voices of friends and foes and tainted them with its darkness.
"So you all made it, did you? Took you long enough. Are you drowning in regrets yet? Has your pain taken your minds?"

Calder was licking him.  And then Freya started licking him too.  He glanced up to Herryk anxiously as though begging for help.  But it didn't matter because apparently something was happening. He wasn't broken so much as feeling *exceptionally awkward.* Having two people suddenly running their tongues over his tattered flesh had been a good distraction from his own inner demons at least.

Calder was thinking that Freya was very, very kind in helping him tend to Christof's wounds but could understand the unappealing taste as she jerked back. Calder felt he would seriously need to address the issue later. Maybe a nice hand lotion of some sort. Tasting his mismatched, rough skin, he felt it was rather needed.
When he saw something flicker, Calder took a lap and winced as he felt something sharp scrap his tongue. Pulling back, he frowned and then reached over to pluck a missing shard of glass from Christof's hand, before addressing Calder's own tongue. It was cut and he whined. Ouch. "Outh."
He turned in time to see the figure. ACTUALLY seeing a figure that wasn't just their reflection. Good thing too cause he was not that fat. "Ith wass yew!" He pointed. "Yew did thith to uss." He shouted, tongue poking out.

Herryk could only shrug. Maybe kelpies had magic spit or something? Not that it mattered, really, because the flickering of the mirrors caught Herryk's attention. When the figure spoke, Herryk snarled.
"You."
Herryk wanted to smash the mirror to smithereens with one of his fists. Oh, how he wanted to hear that sweet crushing sound of broken glass.

Freya looked up at the dark figure that seemed to be the cause of everyone's dismay, and stared.
Then she reached up, tugged her braid in front of her, and started chewing on the ends. One single finger lifted up as she pointed at the monster, her face pursing in conflict.
".. do we lick it to make it feel better?"
Nope, she's lost it.

The shadow laughed, that same mocking laugh - and then it stepped forward out of the mirror, becoming a physical shape haloed in darkness, leaving tracers of black behind it everywhere it moved. "You are all so silly! No wonder you're so vulnerable," it giggled, moving onto its tiptoes and twirling in a pirouette. "I am a Shadow~ your true selves. I have reduced you to your truest and most genuine forms and revealed your failures! And now," it said, stopping the spin abruptly, "I will taste your blood, and steal your being!"
Suddenly, it was Freya standing there, her head at a mocking tilt - then Herryk, then Christof, then finally Calder. The Shadow-kelpie was identical to the real one in every respect, save for the occasional flash of yellow in his eyes. "I will wear your skins! Do you fear me, little children?"

Each time you aim for the boss when it looks like another member of the party, you have a chance of hitting the REAL person instead! For this reason it is HIGHLY recommended that you only use FEAR attacks when the boss is clearly identifiable. Friendly fire is on!The mechanics are as follows: On top of your usual attack roll, please roll a third dice of whatever type you use (add 1d6 for Y1s, 1d8 for Y2s). For this third dice, if you roll ODD you hit the boss, if you roll EVEN you hit the character for half damage. If half your damage is an uneven number (i.e. you do 3 damage, half is 1.5) then you roll down (in the example, 1 damage). If the boss looks like you: Your accuracy roll is to determine if the boss reflects your own hit (at 1/2 damage, as before) back into your face. Not if you hit yourself, because that'd just be silly. You may attack once per round, though you can also do non-attack RP reaction posts as well!

Christof was more than happy for this distraction- a solid enemy! Someone to direct his pent up aggression on. Someone to make HURT. Someone who... hopefully, was not made of shattering glass. With a snarl, he lunged forward, but staggered when the thing changed shape.... It... it was Calder... his fist hesitated for only a second. It was a short second, filled with a bundle of emotions, but startling short all the same as he swung directly into the apparition's kelpily-pretty face.  HP: 34

The echoes of his foxfires came rushing back to Herryk -- each desperate yelp, each scream of pain. Herryk was irrational, furious. With a horrifying roar, Herryk leapt at the shadowfiend, only to fall short. It didn't matter.
Herryk was going to bring the pain.
It just might... take him a while.

There was only one thing to do.. Freya made a stern face, ready to attack the fake Calder - but in her confusion, she attacked the real Calder instead.
By licking him.

Calder stood before a mirror image of himself and all he could think was that his a** did not look that big and that he was WAYYYY prettier than that. What startled him was that this creature stood before them all using HIS face. Sure, he could understand why to some degree, but it was just MEAN!
And then, shocked, he saw Christof lunge. The words from before floated to his mind. Did....Chrsitof really hate him that much? He hadn't even hesitated. Soon everyone else followed, and Calder was faced with none other than Freya who raced to him. "Ith tha real one!" He shouted before he got a firm - .....lick to the face?
Calder stared at the ghoul a moment, having expected a punch, before looking at her. "Uh.......I'm tha weal whone." He said, and just...patted the girl on the head. He then moved over to the imposter and threw a punch. "I'M THOO MUTH PWETTIER THAN THAT!"

"Oho! You've got some fight in you still - oh, wait, little missy, you... missed." The Shadow dissolved into its true form and tapped its cheek, then gave Freya the finger-guns before vanishing.
Suddenly there were two Christofs, side by side, though it seemed that the mirroring was so complete that the Shadow could no longer open its stitched mouth to taunt. How irritating!

Calder stepped back, looking from one Christof to another. Ugh! This was annoying. No. He could smell him - wait. They were really close to each other. He didn't know which one was smelling that way, and he couldn't taste either one of them now that his tongue hurt and was useless. Which one. Which one.
I'm his friend. I'm sure I'll know. Animal Instinct.
Oh yes. He had this. He threw his hand out to punch at what he felt was the fake Christof. Sadly, this was not the case, and even Calder was hesitant to hit his best friend. He pulled back at the last second and barely grazed him. "I....I HAATE THITH!"

Suddenly the monster shifted from Calder to Christof. So filled with rage and fury was Herryk that he was blind, incapable of discerning the real Christof from the fake. His fist glanced off of one of the Christofs -- too bad it was the wrong one.

After being gently scolded by Calder concerning which was the bad guy, and which was the boss, she turned - only to find herself in front of two Christofs.
And she had no idea how to tell between them.
She wasn't about to lick either one of them, this time.. so instead, she closed her eyes, whispered out a soft "Sorry, Christof.." and rose her leg up to slam a kick - into the real shadow! Hurray!
