Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, they cling to the realm or the gods or love. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.
Knives had never been to the port city before, he had only ever heard tales about city. "Great happy bunch these lot." Knives said his eyes looking around as they neared the city and the lack of noise seemed to disturb him. Sure it was loud, but something about the sound seemed off, not like a busy city..
An outlaw walking through the valley of men glared with a sunken eye of death moved his head from side to side and said come on you gutless slugs fight like a man state your name and business and let's see what you got another body for the hangman's count show me the bar, and show me the cards
The team would have no problems entering their own metropilis, the area busting with activity and movement as crowds and waves of people moved about the streets and sky scrapers. It would not take a genius to be able to see the massive black wall that the recon team had described, the large structure surrounding 2/3 of the port metropilis of Sawasti. Even surrounidng the wall, a good 500 yards or so from the wall was a red line, in which this team would remember the recon team saying it was a "do not cross" boundary the UHV had put here.
On top of the wall were several individuals wearing a weird and interesting armor, keeping what could be guessed as a vigilant eye on the people both in and out of the black wall. It seemed the fortress was well guarded, and well armed to boot.

'Oh this is going to be such a treat 'Isn't it always?
"So, anyone remember anything from the recon team about what happens if one crosses the red line? Or shall I send a clone over to find out?" Knives offered as they surveyed the newly erected fortress walls, cursing that he had forgotten to train in more advanced sensing techniques with San before they left, his mind had been... elsewhere.
"Also, looks like the armor we saw in Rouran, I think? Or least similar, so you know what that means right Ay?" Knives said his eyes moving to Ayame not calling her by her real name in case these guys had information about Suna nin from before hand.
An outlaw walking through the valley of men glared with a sunken eye of death moved his head from side to side and said come on you gutless slugs fight like a man state your name and business and let's see what you got another body for the hangman's count show me the bar, and show me the cards
"Alright here is the deal, spread out interact with the locals, get a feel for everything and see what the topics are, get as good a look at the wall as you can without violating the zone."
James transformed easily and slipped on a chakra scrambling ring to become Ares Wolfe again. James smiled. "Once we have some info we can dig in. At worst I can fly us over."

Ayame smiled, "Yep, oh joy." Ayame then used the transformation jutsu and changed her hair color to blonde and shortened the length. She then changed Daichi into a normal looking dog as he grumbled, and changed her clothing to blend in. Ayame and Daichi immediately headed for the city making sure to stay away from the red line.

The teams memory of the briefing from the recon team would have them remember that a group of citizens did indeed help in the insertion, but it was merely a distraction and several people got injured. The recon team had used the distraction to sneak into the harbor on the far side, were it was possible that security was weakest at the time due to the citizen uprising.
Further review would show a very regular pattern, the soldiers seemed disciplined but relaxed, as nothing was getting them to be afraid or scared. The guard placement was at regular intervals across the black wall, and it would appear as if they had that amount of space they were responsible for.
Thankfully, with the tight populous around them, their transformations were invisible to the guards, and their movements would be well masked as well...so long as they moved as ordinary people.

'Oh they're just cute and look like they just own the place. 'Well they kinda pretty much do at this point right now.
Knives just walked around keeping an eye upon the wall as he walked amongst the people keeping his eyes and ears open to conversations, if there was any. Communcation was not his skill, but being quiet and listening in on things was he figured he might as well use it to his advantage. He smirked under his face cover, which didn't seem to cause him to stand out to much in the city and luckily for him, most of his weaponry was hidden under his already bulky travel clothes.
Knives spent more time studying the wall, really wanting to know about that red line but revealing their existence with the use of Jutsu was not on the list of options right now.
"So what's up with that red line." Knives asked to himself, but loud enough to be over heard as he examined things.
An outlaw walking through the valley of men glared with a sunken eye of death moved his head from side to side and said come on you gutless slugs fight like a man state your name and business and let's see what you got another body for the hangman's count show me the bar, and show me the cards
Ares Wolfe slipped into the crowds moving with grace, but blending in and looking for the market area. His eyes and ears open with his heightened senses as he waited for signs of a shift change. If they could slip through the docks at shift change, then that would let them have a perfect set up to pick and choose where to strike in the city without giving warning.
James wanted to get a solid lay of the current state before heading in.

Ayame and Daichi wandered through the crowd blending in with the people. Daichi ears moved about catching any bit of interesting conversation. He yawned to seem complacent and stopped for a moment beside Ayame to scratch at his ear. Ayame smiled and patted him on the head as she too listened and even tried to sniff out anything strange along with Daichi. She made sure to act as the people around her did and Daichi stayed by her side like any other dog.

Knives patience and mental stillness would allow him to pick up on the conversation of several of the passerbyers, who also avoided the red line it was some kind of plague.
"Did you here that Linda tried to go give one fo the guards a piece of her mind, and they actually fired at her?! I mean i know she got close to the line, and it was a warning shot, but jesus they actually shot at her. Caused this whole big riot thing to happen too. I wonder if the ninja village has just abandoned us...."
This conversation would invoke memories in Knives that corresponded with the recon teams report, about how the line seemed to be a no cross zone, so much to the fact that getting near it warranted warning shots.
The patience of the team would not be tried, as it seemed a shift change was happening now. Across the wall, at every post, 2 extra guards would begin to approach the location, and they would begin to have a conversation, one of the new arrivers looking out over the black wall into the sea of people.
Daichi's nose would pick up a massive jumble of smells from around the area mostly dealing with food and perfume. It was weird, but it seemed like their was an abnormally low number of sensations comming from the other side of the black wall.
The sea of people continued to move, with a small pushing and shoving match between two venders drawing some attention of the guards, though this seemed more of a passive interest then a job oriented one.

'Wait, what are you up to? You're up to something. 'Oh, you'll see.
Knives smirked under his cover as he felt dirt in his hands on the balls of his feet much like a catcher would be. He continued to look at the red line, and listened about the riots and the doubts people were having.
'Oh don't worry, we've not abandoned you. Just having to work in silence. Knives thought as he continued to work the dirt feel it change in his hands, but keeping an eye on the guards near by as some fight had seemed to broken out. If this worked, it would most definitely be a distraction.
He nonchalantly and softly mentioned through his radio under all his covering. "James, things might just get a little more interesting here."
'OH god, you aren't doing what I think you're doing are you?
'Oh you catch on quick don't you. Besides, it's the perfect consistency.' Knives mentioned to the inner demon within him as he hid the jars within his coat and continued on his way perfectly normal as he walked along the ring some more as he continued to survey in order to find a nice location between here and the wall. Knives could move fast, but if these guys had the abilities that he had seen before, those special weapons of theirs and whatever armor they had are also fast.
An outlaw walking through the valley of men glared with a sunken eye of death moved his head from side to side and said come on you gutless slugs fight like a man state your name and business and let's see what you got another body for the hangman's count show me the bar, and show me the cards

Ayame smiled at Daichi and Knives' comment. Daichi looked at Ayame and she knelt next to him scratching him behind the ear as he whispered to her, "Barely there on the other side." She patted him on the head and tilted her head down hiding her face with her hair acting as if she was giving an order to the dog and spoke into the radio, "Daichi says there is barely anything coming from the other side of the wall." Daichi sat and raised his paw as Ayame shook it and she gave him a treat. They both went back to walking through the crowd listening to conversations but being sure to stay a safe yet close distance from Knives and the red line.

Ares scratched his head and easily circled in the crowd to start walknig towards the direction of the docks.
"Knives, I want you to use what you have to kick a distraction, but try not to get anyone hurt, then i want both of you to kick it towards the docks. The guards are changing shifts, and a little extra motion won't be as unusual, Its also a lowered guard for half of them."
James gave a low whistle, and gestured with his hand by his side, giving Keir a order on where to move. Keir would slip through the shadows, the giant panther gliding under tables and behind carts, moving into dark building shadows and all but freezing in place.
James took a slightly faster pace, looking like a man who had finally found his destination in a crowd.

Knives creations would be hidden from the sea of people, but his walk would fidn that, for the entire surrounded metropilis, there was literally nothing in the zone between the black wall. If he searched extra hard, he would find remains of buildings on the "free" side of the black wall that looked to have been razed, possibly for being to close to the red line.
The guards payed Ayame no mind, her disguise and actions working perfectly. The pushing and shoving match wasnt hurting her either. The conversations were scattered, nothing really being discussed in particular.
The guards missed the panther moving, her natural stalking instincts proving to be very effective in this situation. The guards themselves continued with their conversation, and now the duo's were starting to leave the post on the black wall, leaving a single solitary soldier standing at each individual post. Most of their attention was on the pushing and shoving match, but it was possible their eyes were continually scanning the area around them.
