Misty blinked and looked over at him. A blush soon covered her face as well. He.....oh.....he was talking about her. Well this wasn't awkward. He'd just talked about meeting her, and liking her and everything...
...and she had never met the man before.
"........I..........yes?" she replied awkwardly.

C.J. was also well aware of the awkwardness of the situation. "Somethin' tells me, this wasn't the right continuity for me to've been talkin' about that." he said with a nervous and embarrassed smile. Boy, I sure stepped in it this time. That's another shot if there's a drinking game to this! he thought.
He leaned on the counter. "So I guess you don't remember a thing, do you?" he asked. Well DUH!! That didn't happen in this forum!
Ehh, so I opened up a can of worms I shouldn't have, writer. Can ya blame me? he thought. Well, no, not really. Remember, I type your stuff, RP-universe me.

Misty gave him a little awkward grin. "Not at all....I'm sorry. I'm guessing we're from different points in time or something." she replied.

C.J. smiled back. "It's okay." he said with a smile. "I gotta go check up on some things. I guess I'll see ya in the future I guess." he said as he finished the dishes and walked off towards where Dundee and Kai were. Kicking himself the rest of the way. Dammit, I shoulda kept my mouth shut! he thought . . . great, now Misty was gonna think of him as some sorta psychopath.
Dundee was waiting just outside Kai's room as C.J. walked up.
"Well, what happened?" Dundee asked.
"She didn't recognize me." he said a little bummed out.
"No sweat, man. Just give it time . . . You probably just had one of those flashbacks to another timeline." Dundee said.

Kai quickly found herself dreaming again. Something that came with her powers was the ability to remember everything that happens to her in her dreams and subconsciously. So far, all she could picture was her time in the other dimension where, she was applied her powers. The priests in that world trusted her after her change, gave her a second chance. And with it, the chance to come back home after proving her humanity. She sat on the fountain's edge in the center of a very empty very small English looking village. Olden times, with stone work and religious structures built by the priests. The land was dark grey, the plants, blue grays and dull warm colors covered the almost surreal landscape. Mist, that kept nearly everything hidden from the edge of the village and out. She was outside that village, it was a horrible place. Without that worlds god, it was too dangerous, too painful to even think of what life was.

Meanwhile, C.J. and Dundee were shootin' the bull outside of Wayne Manor. It'd been a while since he hopped the metaphorical fence that was the fourth wall between real-world college student and in-universe adventurer that the two really got a chance to talk.
"Reckon Arell needs us to go get 'im? He's been gone for a little while." Dundee asked, pondering if that gunslinger got in a little over his head.
C.J. on the other hand smirked. "Nah, if anything, Arell killed the bad guy, and they just kinda stopped in lover's lane to . . . get some ice cream, yeah! That's it!" he said. Attaboy, Ceej. Don't corrupt the innocent one, he may become a bloodthirsty bounty hunter like Arell! he thought.
Dundee looked at C.J. confused. "Wait, Lover's Lane has ice cream? He totally better bring back some Rocky Road!" Dundee said as C.J. facepalmed. Yes, Benoit, he's oblivious, isn't he?

Meanwhile, Misty had retreated to one of the guest bedrooms. Sighing, she crawled on top of one of the beds and lied down to rest for a bit while she waited on Alex to get back. She had....a lot to think about, so she might as well get a little rest as she thought.

Finally, a chance to get over that awkward as hell second meeting with Misty! When C.J. heard the Comm, he . . . borrowed it off the sleeping Kai and activated it.
"Red Cardinal's sleepin' right now. However we can help. What's up?" he asked. Dundee looked over at C.J. with a confused look. He paused a conversation about Baseball over THAT?!

While the group of men were outside, Reaper wandered back towards the spare rooms. He paused and "listened" in on the rooms that were occupied. One room with Sapphire. And the other room with Kai.

The volume on Kai's communicator blared suddenly, "Oracle to Red Cardinal.... WAKE UP!!!! We found the Summers. They just checked into a hotel in Las Vegas. Do you read me?"

The comm rang obnoxiously on the table, so much that it got C.J.'s attention from outside! "What th'?! C'mon, Dun'. We gotta get more of a scoop in on this!" he growled. He was about to set in for Kai's room when Dundee got him by the scruff of the neck.
"Ooooh no ya don't, pal! Ever since you and Arell started going off on your crazy damn-fool adventures, you always wind up getting one of us (or God forbid, BOTH of us) Hurt! Now you need t-!!!" he was savagely cut off by C.J. . . . who looked at him.
"Dundee . . . SHADDAP!!!" he growled, elbowing Dundee in the gut. "Besides, things may be serious!"

Meanwhile, downstairs, a certain Cajun bounty hunter and his more feline friend/almost father in-law were walking up the stairs. Jeez . . . has it been a long day. he thought, slugging himself into the kitchen, he slowly went to make a pot of coffee. His third through the day. At least . . . coffee, booze, barbecue and cigarettes seemed to make up the big guy's diet.

Artemis on the other hand walked a different direction, towards the bedrooms. More specifically, the room Kai was in. He looked at Dundee and C.J., having a squabble over if C.J. was going into the room or not and rolled his eyes.
He sat on his hunches and put his paws together, intertwining his 'fingers' and cracked his knuckles. Been a seriously long time sense I tried this one. He thought only to himself, keeping prying forth wall lookers from it.
The small black cat pulled a piece of chalk out of his pocket and started drawing a circle that looked like something off of FMA around him. It was seriously elaborate and large for the size of the cat.
